I've been trying to reach out to this company for several weeks now, left a voice mail and all to please call back for an urgent flooding issue. I live 2 blocks from this location. I got no response or anything, mind you they claim to be 24 hours. I went to the front door and rang the hurricane shuttered building doorbell for 5 minutes. No answer and a man sitting in a truck in the front said """"they only take appointments, my wife works there"""". I saw a driver with the Charlie Swain truck pulling in so I pulled up next to him and asked him how can I get a hold of someone from service he simply pointed at the number on the truck and continued his day. I wash my hands with them I called another company and they were at my house in less than 3 hours.

We wanted a gas line extended for an outside grill. The line is running around the back of our house, so no indoor work. We called at the beginning of July and it is now December. The company has failed 3 Boca Raton City inspections. I keep records of every phone call, and, with this company, there is a long list of such phone calls. The good reviews I see are not reviews for a gas plumber. Am wondering whether this company will ever finish this job. Am also wondering how they can be in business with this kind of track record.

Everything right. When I called, they answered the phone and quoted me a very fair price for the replacement of my water heater. They scheduled it for 2 days later. Arrived on time. The service tech was friendly and professional. Completed the job for the price quoted. The way it ought to be - but seldom is. Others had the requirement of coming out first (for $45+) which I get for some plumbing jobs but a water heater replacement - not rocket science! And they started saying, """"well, your likely going to need this and that..."""" suggesting the actual cost would be higher than the ballpark price quoted, etc. It was great to have a plumber who did what they said they would do, the first time, for the price quoted, with no hassle. Called these guys to fix a link in our laundry that is ruining our kitchen's laminate floor. They told us it was a leaking faucet in the laundry, but they could not replace it because they did not have the part on the truck. So we had a neighbor replace it for us. The link continued. We called them back. This time, they said the washer was leaking but they couldn't fix it because they don't touch appliances. So we stopped using the washer and the leak continued. They are charging us for two visits and failed to find the leak. These guys are lazy and only want your money.

I used Charlie Swain to fix a shower leak back in 2020. I thought they did a very nice job tackling the issue. As the leak was serious, we were looking for someone to arrive to the job site as fast as possible. By chance they had someone available and the plumber was at the front door within 2 hours of my call, which is really sensational. The plumber got to it right away and the work was completed very quickly. And he didn't just do it quickly, he did it right. No problems afterward. The bill was fair in my opinion. These aren't my go to plumbing guys, but I would definitely recommend them if you're in the market for a plumber. Four stars from me.

Wow very surprised I had never reviewed this business as I have been useing them for my plumbing -gas needs the past 18 years I have lived in my home. Today they came after I called over the weekend as I had a leak in my PVC shutoff for my garden hose. It literally ran since Friday night. Unfortunately this old house has no shut off so you have to go to the meter in the ground. Well considering I live in a flood zone I was lucky it wasn't rainy. After I dug the meter out the plumber had a tool to turn off the water to my house. Than he got a connection and parts from his truck. Amazing how much inventory of gadgets they carry with them. After he fixed the connection he clamped the PVC pipe back to the wall. By this time the pipes he glued together dried and he turned the water back on. Great guy he has been with Charlie's for 16 years. He was at my home last year as I thought I had a gas leak. Shoricia their dispatcher I spoke to this morning and she didn't think she could get me anyone until tomorrow. So glad she got someone to come today. They made my day as well as the water bill from the City doesn't need it to be any higher than it already is. Highly recommend for any plumbing issues.

They did not fix my issue, although they did provide me this disclaimer. In the end, $300 spent, some weak overtime rationalization as the reason for the price, and a very vague receipt. Follow up from them would have been nice as to the status. Two stars cause I did have a good visit on a prior visit with another technician. Finally, I had to hire another plumber to diagnose the issue and they spent just as much time at my place and only charged me $135.

I was skeptical to use Charlie Swain because I saw bad reviews online, but I guess you can't always trust reviews because our experience was perfect. They were the second company I called, the first took advantage of us on the first call (didn't call back of course). We had an internal leak/electric problem with a 4 year old A.O. Smith water heater. I called the manufacturer myself to try and get a refund (also easy to work with). They gave me a return number and the folks at Charlie Swain worked with their distributor to get me a new one and take out the old one. So I only paid Charlie Swain for the labor. Leo is an amazing technician and the person that answered the phone was very helpful (forgot her name). Prices were reasonable and the work was done very well. Highly recommend.

This is a poorly run company that puts customer service in last place. I used them twice and they were fine but nothing special. On my third appt., they tried to say that the same service I had prior had gone up from $150 to $250. Fraudulent charges averted! Not cool Chuckie!!!

I called to have a leak fixed. The plumber that came appeared intoxicated ( on some type of drug) his speech and movement were all over the place. He misplaced the company keys and the alarm triggered on the service vehicle . This went on as he searched for the keys. This is all 5-7 minutes into the service call and no work was rendered at the time. I asked if he was ok. I don't know yet if the work he did fixed the problem. If appears so but I will never use this company again. He became unprofessional asking personal questions. After he finished I asked him a few times to leave as he tried making small talk. He received a phone call and urgently left. One night after the repair... tonight at 10 pm I hear noise outside of my home. My surveillance cameras and I both see the same service guy. I yelled I'm calling the police. I ran outside after him but he's fast. I checked surveillance and realized he'd been snooping around for about an hour. It's very creepy. I will call and let the owner know tomorrow that a police report has been filed. Do not use this company. Especially if you are a single female. I repeat!!!! DONT
