I had an emergency call for a backed up drain. He sent someone who could not give me a price but I trusted he would be a little more expensive but FAIR. He charged me close to $1000 for and hour and a half.... 5 foot run clog and a new cheap 1/3 hp garbage disposal. I was robbed!!!!!!!!!!!! I wish they had negative stars.

I was referred to Charlie Delross Plumbing by a fellow resident of my apartment building down the shore who said Charlie is responsive and reliable and is willing to work in a high-rise apartment building (with its attendant contractor work-time restrictions, parking challenges, req'd proof of insurance, etc.) - 3 net positives. Dave on Charlie's team has been out to my apartment twice for different repairs and fixture replacements/installs (I purchased faucets, garbage disposal, showerhead, etc., he installed). Very skilled, very friendly and very efficient. He communicated often to apprise me of his arrival times. He had any needed extra bits and bobs on his truck to ensure no wasted time/effort. My view on engaging tradespeople is that I want to feel comfortable and confident (and I want my family members to feel comfortable and confident) that the person(s) being invited into our home to do skilled work that we cannot or will not do ourselves are trustworthy, skilled, respectful/polite and happy to explain what they're doing and why. As such, I don't generally price shop. I value establishing and maintaining long-term relationships with skilled, reliable and friendly folks who I invite into my home. My 2 cents. I recommend Charlie Delross Plumbing without hesitation!

Flat out robbed me on a job quote. Told me the cost of the job was high because would take two guys, two days. Ended up taking them only one half of a day and was still charged the entire amount. I spoke to the owner who offered to discount a future job! BS!!! No future jobs for this thief.

Do yourself a favor and ask for an estimate before retaining them. I have to give them credit: they came out to my house within a couple of hours on a Sunday afternoon. So, I definitely thank them for that. However, I truly feel like I was price gouged. I was charged $350 for 5 minutes of work (turning the water on at the main, which required a tool that's available for $20 on Amazon). It required no parts, and they were at my house for a total of 15 minutes. Again, I really appreciated that they came when called, so I would recommend their service. However, I can't help but feel taken advantage of, so please be cautious.

My water main pipe broke on a Sunday and I called Charlie Delross and he answered the phone immediately, he was not able to come out to fix it because he had a prior commitment but he sent me other references and he also called the City of Ventnor to come out and help. He kept in touch with me to make sure that I was getting help. Many of the other plumbers did not even answer my call. He gave me piece of mind and assurance. And went far beyond to help me! Charlie is a great and considerate man!! I appreciate his time and expertise. Linda

Look no further. This IS your plumbing company! Efficient and HONEST! Prices are fair and service is excellent. Great follow-up. I've used them a few times in Ventnor and I'll never call another plumbing company. Please try this family business the next time you have a plumbing issue.

I can't say enough about this business. They make you feel important. Charlie Delross plumbing not only fixes what ever the issue is they get there faster than anyone. I only review business that do an exceptional job so I have not done many reviews. This business is a throw back to yesteryear when every tradesman has pride in their work. Charlie's guys came out to install a whole-house shut off shortly after we moved in - I stupidly overlooked the one that was there (after Charlie described where I would find it). Well, I was convinced it wasn't there so I scheduled to have his guys come out. Sure enough, when his guys found it for me, I tried to pay Charlie for at least the service call and he refused any money. You just don't find that level of service and integrity much anymore. Charlie will be my go-to for any future issues and I've already shared his name with a few people, one of which has already used his services too.
