Just had Rich B.complete my annual furnace service! He is the same tech that did my A/c this past summer. Rich is professional and knowledgeable. The took the time to answer all my questions! I hope Charles Heating values techs of this quality and will incentivize Rich to become a long time employee!

They installed a new programable thermostat at my house. They did show me how to program it BUT they did not tell me it operated on two AA batteries. Less than a month later my thermostat went blank. I called the business and was told ""I'll send a technician out"" I complained to her that They were out less than one month before and was assured that if this was the companies fault I would not have to pay they're service call fee. The serviceman arrived, changed the batteries, went to my basement to ""verify that all was working with the furnace. Five minutes later he came back up and asked for me to pay his service fee. I said that I didn't want to since they installed an thermostat with old batteries and had not shown me that 1) there were batteries, 2) how to access them and 3) how to change them. He insisted on the fee, I paid it and told him that this was the last time I would do business with his company. He looked at me and said ""Who else are you going to call?"" and walked out!

Our furnace was out almost 24 hours Nov 17 2019 we had two other companies come and were not able to fix. Well mike from Charles gets there and tells me he will get heat for us in 15 minutes. Well he was right and did a great job! And the price was 1/2 of what the others had told us. We will be using Charles in the future..

We had an A/C system installed yesterday (as scheduled) from Charles, and our installers (Karl and Dan R.) did a great job. They listened to our preferences and installed accordingly, and everything was clean and neat when the job was done.

I represent the household and when I asked the cocky young technician what he did to the furnace? He said "" she already paid right?"" He didn't answer my question but he instead ran out the door! We will never call them back!

I had an emergency plumbing issue 5:00 on a Friday of a holiday weekend. Brian was able to come first thing Saturday morning and quickly isolate the issue. We were able to come up with a temporary fix until Brian and Stan could come back during the week to permanently fix it. Their service was prompt and they were courteous and clean. I will be calling this company in the future should I need to.

Thieves and liars!!! Do not trust this company. The previous owner of our house had Charles Heating come in the day that we closed on the house to repair the tankless hot water heater. When we moved in, the system did not work. We called Charles and they gave us the run-around. They said that the issue we had was not the same issue that they came to fix, which was a lie. On the invoice it said that the unit was taken apart and the burners were cleaned. After the 5th or 6th call to Charles they said that all they did was flush vinegar through the system and that they don`t normally work on tankless hot water systems but they were doing the previous owner a favor since he was in a bind.
We had a reputable company come in, and I sat there with this guy the whole time to watch and learn. I was informed that there were no isolation valves on the unit, so there is no way to flush the system, so that was another lie. When the unit was taken apart by the reputable technician, none of the dust had been disturbed in the unit, so Charles saying that it was taken apart to clean the burners was also a lie. After 3 wks, countless lies, excuses, and run-around we were finally able to get a refund from charles for the work that the previous owner had paid to have done which charles heating and cooling neglected to do.

REPAIR QUOTE INCOMPLETE AND WAY TOO HIGH. I called Charles Heating and Air and for a $89.95 service charge and they arrived within the hour. The problem was the ""intermediate pilot control module"". The quote was for a $595.00 group on a form that did not mention this module. I had thought the estimate would include the parts and the labor. I found a replacement module had a list price of $259.00 and bought one for $105.00. I installed it in 15 minutes. I would not have begrudged Charles, the $259.00 list price for the part and another $90.00 to install it. Their $595.00 quote was at least $235.00 too high. Charles Heating and Air was available when I needed them. But an repair quote of $235.00 above full price retail ( $490. above DIY) causes me to rate them as poor.
