Really surprised to see some of the 1-star reviews on here because we had an exceptional experience with Chantilly Plumbing and will never go anywhere else for plumbing needs.
In short, we started with a larger, well-known local plumbing company to fix a clogged kitchen sink. After two days at our home, they were unable to fix the clog and suggested cutting into drywall to replace parts of our piping. We asked the other company to hold off while we contacted Chantilly Plumbing.
Chantilly Plumbing was at our house the next day and I'm not exaggerating when I say they identified the root cause within 5 minutes and fixed the clog entirely in another 20 minutes. They were INCREDIBLY clean and careful, and cleaned up really nicely after the job was done. Super respectful and personable, we plan to use them for any future needs.
They saved us thousands and if you've got a plumbing issue, there's no reason not to give this team the first crack at solving it.
I hired Ron and his team to install gas line extensions for a gas fireplace unit and for a forthcoming gas range in the kitchen. Ron's quote was in the middle of the three I obtained. I found Ron and his crew to be very professional, and they completed the work properly. He also gave me good advice regarding the handling of the county permit, so as not to waste money by closing it out too soon. I did ask for the ground wire installed by the electrician to be made a bit neater, and Ron came back and completed that after a couple of weeks (I didn't have to harass him). I will not hesitate to use Chantilly Plumbing again.
While we can't speak for the quality of the plumbing side of the company, we can unequivocally describe our remodeling experience with CP as extremely frustrating and disappointing. No one involved with the project seemed to have any pride in producing a quality job. Some of the things we experienced are below. Note: we can photographically document many of these statements should anyone suggest we are lying or exaggerating.
1. During demolition the crew placed the removed pieces of shower glass directly on our front lawn for several hours directly in the July sun, burning out sections of grass, some of which have not recovered as this is written; this was after we had specifically requested to have no work of any type performed on that area of the lawn.
2. Demolition began on July 14th; punch list items completed on September 23rd. Because Ron insisted on 'starting' the project while many of the parts were on backorder, no work on the project (aside from some of the floor tile) occurred for nearly three weeks following demolition, and then the project took another eight weeks to complete due to the slowness of the crew, the need for constant reworking, and the apparent lack of priority given to our project (there were many days when no work was performed).
3. One day early in the project the crew left the house key (which was supposed to be kept in a lockbox) still in the lock for the front door as they drove away.
4. We were never provided a final list of the parts ordered by Ron from the main supplier along with cost, despite asking for this invoice at least a half-dozen times. We eventually gave up.
5. The foreman never took notes during our conversations; as a result, our requests and instructions were consistently miscommunicated - or not communicated at all - to the crew.
6. The crew attempted to pass off as 'completed' tile work (1) three separate missing 1-inch glass pieces, which were simply filled with grout; (2) misaligned 3-inch tiles on the shower floor; (3) various misaligned bullnose and other smaller cut pieces. Some of these were 'fixed' at our repeated insistence but others are things we will just have to live with.
7. The crew was very sloppy about protecting previously completed work. Several surfaces ended up with minor scratches and cleaning of the floor tile took two days in order to remove stains that could have been avoided simply by use of a dropcloth. The only item we retained from the old bathroom to new - the toilet - ended up with large scratches on the seat lid due to carelessness.
8. The crew failed to inspect one of the medicine cabinets before installing it (door opening opposite of our instructions), and so only afterwards did they observe breaks and cracks in each mirrored section (or they produced these cracks themselves?), necessitating a complete uninstall. During this install / removal, damage to the visible side of the drywall (overlooking the foyer) occurred.
9. The crew installed the wrong hardware on one of the vanity drawers (knob instead of handle), then after patching the drill hole with putty and color match, did not point out their mistake, hoping we wouldn't notice. Similarly, damage occurred to the facing of one of the toilet cabinet doors (splintering) with the same outcome (tried to hide it from us).
10. We contracted with an independent company to do the shower glass work (not the one recommended by CP), and during measurements informed us that one of the shower walls was leaning 3/4"" from level, meaning the shower glass had to be installed off-center.
11. The crew helped themselves to items from our garage; a 5-gallon bucket 'disappeared' as well as our supply of bottled water. While the cost of replacing these items was not significant, the fact that we weren't asked first left us with a feeling of disrespect.
Based on all of these issues we cannot recommend CP for any remodeling project.
I had Ron install a cast Iron sink in my kitchen. I was going to do it with a handyman until I discovered it weighed about 150 lbs. Ron Arrived with his son, (a 29 year old big guy). They removed the old sink and replaced it with the new one as well as a new faucet and garbage disposal. It was a very difficult job, to lift the old sink out and put the new one in without damaging the Granite countertop. They did a great job and I would certainly use them again!
Chantilly plumbing came out today and fixed my dripping tub faucet. Did a great job, super nice and professional. Very happy and will use them in the future!
I have used Chantilly Plumbing and Remodeling for years and have been nothing but satisfied with their work. They have been prompt, courteous, honest and gone the extra mile on more than several ocassions. I recommend Ron and crew to all my neighbors and friends and everyone has been most pleased.

C H.Holy hell, these guys are the definition of unprofessional and inept. I had them set to come over at a set time on a set date. Not only did they not show up in their 3 hour time frame, they never called to reschedule, apologize or even notify me that they weren't going to show up. I left numerous calls with their bumbling secretary and finally gave up.
The only way to get back at these a$$ clowns is to give them a horrible review on sites like this. The only reason I signed up with Yelp was so I could burn these guys.
DO NOT USE THEM! Go with anyone else in the area.
A plumber that can solve any problem, is neat and I'm happy to have in my home. Ron, his son and son-in-law have done minor repairs, repaced fixtures and faucets, added a sump pump, added all the plumbing and gas lines for a second kitchen and solved some plumbing problems and leaks. Responds quickly and is about the middle of the road in pricing.
