Liz S.We'd been having a strong sewery/septic/plumbing smell for several years that we could locate. Chandlers was recommended to us, and we called with an idea of the general area the smell was coming from. Chandler's less than warm tech showed up and within two minutes told us the smell wasn't plumbing or sewer related, it was rodents, and that he'd been a plumber for 18 years and knew septic and sewage smell. It seemed like we were bothering him and he was mifted. Well, apparently he didn't know it very well, because he was flat out wrong. He went on to say they only did easy mechanical jobs as in plain sight.
Today with the help of Sa's Plumbing, we replaced a rusted out 6' 125 year old galvanized drainage pipe that had been leaking in exactly the spot we showed Chandler's tech. Under our kitchen flooring. Needless to say, we won't call Chandler's again.
I was out of town when our shower stopped working. We called Chandlers Plumbing and they came out the next day. They had to cluge some things together while they ordered a part but it worked as long as you were very delicate with it. The repair ultimately took 3-4 weeks to replace a broken shower stem and cost about $350. It came with a 1 year warranty on labor and parts, and since it was a bit of an emergency I considered it an acceptable cost, albeit slow to get the final repair completed.
After 9 months, water started pouring into our kitchen and I discovered the shower stem they installed had cracked. I ordered a replacement and had it within 24 hours for $10. When I installed the replacement I noticed Chandler Plumbing left a spacer in the stem that was supposed to be removed. They had to force it to get it to fit which ultimately lead it to plastic cracking. If you read the instructions it clearly says how to determine if you need the spacer and it was very easy to remove.
I called Chandler Plumbing and spoke to the manager about the problem. She offered to send out a drywaller to fix the hole in our kitchen ceiling. Considering it was at the beginning of the Pandemic lock down and we had a newborn in the house, I just asked for a partial credit since I knew we would have more work coming up. She said she'd have to check with her superiors. I called back twice and left messages and they never returned my call and I was not able to speak with the manager again.
In the end they charged $350 to incorrectly repair a problem and took weeks to complete the work. Then they failed to honor their warranty when a leak was created by their mistake. I'll give them two starts because they did get us up and running again quickly. In the end though their work was unreliable and they wouldn't honor their warranty. In short, they're untrustworthy.
We have used Chandler for all our plumbing repaid for over a dozen years. They have always provided prompt and commendable service. So I was dumbstruck that when I called early Thursday because we have a toilet that's got a valve leaking onto the bathroom floor and another that is turned down because water is spraying out if the tank, we were told we'd have to wait four days for someone to take care of us. If we wanted it sooner we'd have to pay emergency rates! This is not how we expect to be treated as long term loyal customers. We may have to find someone else.
Jenny D.We are in the process of selling our home and had a home inspector identify a potential gas leak through our gas fireplace. Chandlers was prompt at getting a tech to our house, when a lot of other companies had month+ wait times. The tech assigned to the call, Markus, was professional, kind, knowledgeable and efficient. We've had a few terrible experiences with other service companies and I am so glad to have found a reliable and honest resource!! Will be using again.
Wanted to give a shout out to Chandler's for the great work done by their technicians and their office. The technician installed a new dryer vent to the exterior of our house. We were concerned about a vent being on the front of our house, but he found the best place to put it so it wasn't so obvious and explained everything. Work was well done and company was very responsive in setting up appointment and providing estimate. The estimate was very fair considering the amount of time it took to do work properly. I will definitely use them again, as this was the first time we have used them. Thanks again!
My husband and I have been struggling to resolve a problem with a nearly new HVAC unit that you installed since July 27th, and quite frankly, you and GE keep passing the buck while my daughter and son-in-law suffer in August heat and humidity. I have private messaged you on FB and expect a call ASAP by someone in your company with the ability to work through this problem. I am completely disgusted by how we've been treated by this company and the products they sell and install.
Great service. Honest and affordable. Have a great price. Polite.
We were very happy. Signed up fir their annual service.
Very happy
David H.Friendly and honest plumbers who do the job right and clearly explain the issue without trying to upsell you on unncessary items. I've used them a couple of times and both times they explained the correct and reasonably priced method of resolving the issue without trying to sell me more than what I needed. Great service and I'll use them again.
Truth T.We had Chandler's install a new HVAC system back in 2002. They're quote was competitive and the tech did fine work except for one mistake. The specs of the HVAC unit called for 3"" diameter intake and venting pipes and they used 4"", likely because the tech didn't have 3"" handy in his van. Sounds minor but no one else in our neighborhood that I can see has these huge ugly white pipes exiting from their home.
Great service on their first time out. They were recommended to me by the previous home owner, and their service was friendly, efficient, and I will be calling them again when needed.
