Chan Ho has been a life saver for us in more than one situation. Over the past years, he's replaced a water heater that broke the day before we had a new tenant move in, he has done smaller plumbing repairs and most recently replaced the furnace/motor on an AC that was beyond repair. We had another of the big AC companies out to quote first, and while they were very professional and nice, their pricing was way beyond what we were willing to spend. Chan Ho quoted by text message after I described to him what had to be done. His price was very competitive and fair and he was also able fit us in for the next working day. He kept me updated by phone while he installed the new unit. A small issue that came up the next day was fixed promptly and the new unit works beautifully now. Chan Ho is just an all around great guy and will definitely remain our go to person for any plumbing and HVAC issues.

If you are thinking of hiring Chan Ho Plumbing, Heating & Air, don't hesitate! I highly recommend this company. Chan installed a new air conditioning system at my mother's house. I called him on a Friday, he went to her house the same day and gave me a very reasonable quote. On Monday, my mother who is elderly and can't take the 90 degree heat, is now sitting in a nice cool house. The system he installed is working perfectly and cools the entire house beautifully. Four days ago I came home from a trip with my husband to find our living room floor boards hot to the touch and standing hot water in my husband's office. Panic. I had Chan's number saved in my cell from some *excellent* work he did for us five years ago (luckily, we haven't had any major plumbing crises between then and now). I called, he immediately answered, and the road to fixing the problem, to my relief, began. Often knowing who to call is a significant part of the stress with these types of problems. If you're reading this review, no need for that to be a part of your stress! Call Chan Ho!

Anyway, a pipe incased in the cement slab foundation located under our hot water heater had sprung a leak. Chan and his guys were at our house by 2:00 the day I called and were instantly hard at work. Chan was so good to thoroughly explain to me what they needed to do in a manner to ensure that I fully understood what was going on with my house and plumbing. In addition, Chan identified several other pipes and valves which were in danger of bursting (very obvious corrosion once he pointed them out to me - I would have never thought to look for these), which by proactively replacing no doubt saved us significant money and water damage. By 5:00 the following evening, they wrapped up the job; they'd dug through our cement slab, removed the hot water heater, fixed all the pipes and valves mentioned, filled the hole back up with cement, and then rebuilt the inside of our furnace closet which housed our hot water heater (which they had to partially demo to get under the heater to access the leak). He even replaced a couple other at-risk areas without making a big deal about it and charging extra, as many other plumbers would! Unbelievable!

After all the work was done, we had an issue getting our A/C unit to kick back on. Not to worry, Chan also does heating and A/C repair! We called and he came back, did some technician work on the computer board, replaced the thermostat, and got our A/C working - same day!

Before the whole job started, Chan gave us an extremely reasonable estimate for the hot water repair and provided a quote for some of the additional pipes he fixed (as I mentioned, he even did more work without charging us extra!). With all that ended up being done, our grand total was the EXACT amount he quoted. He didn't nickel-and-dime us, there weren't any surprise fees... he stuck to his price. How refreshing.

Having things go wrong in your house is so incredibly stressful - especially when it's something like plumbing where you may not know much about what's happening, but what you do know is that it can be EXPENSIVE. Chan and his guys only took two days to repair everything, and I feel so good about the work that was done because I know it was done RIGHT. Chan provides high-quality service, with the bonus of being economically reasonable.

Funny, I wrote a beaming review for Chan exactly five years ago! How wonderful that he continues to provide such consistent top-notch service. I'm happy conclude by quoting myself from that first review where I exclaimed, ""I'm so glad I have his number in my address book!""
