It was after business hours on a Thursday, and I needed a plumber to stop a bathtub hot water faucet that wouldn't stop running. Gus said he could do it. He would stop the water running that night, and fix it the next day. Before he showed up, the tenant got the water stopped. The next day, Gus wanted to replace the whole faucet and he wanted the money up front, both because I was a new customer, and also because I was not going to be present for the job. I balked at paying up front, but after some negotiating, we reached a satisfactory agreement. Long story short, he ended up making a simple adjustment to fix the problem, and because he was in the neighborhood anyway, he didn't charge me a dime. What a guy! He is definitely going to be my go-to guy for any future plumbing problems.

We had Champion come out to fix a major plumbing issue in our new house where literally every sink and shower drain was stopped up, leaking, or both. A plumber from another company had come prior to Champion, did something in our kitchen, and there was suddenly sewage everywhere - he told us we had a catastrophe on our hands with sewage under the house and a nightmare on our hands to fix, we couldn't use the bathrooms or showers upstairs until further notice, and we possibly had to vacate the house indefinitely. Nothing was resolved, and for our family of five with small children, this was shaping up to be a disaster of Biblical proportions.

Opting for a second opinion, we called Champion and Keith and his assistant came, spent a few hours investigating, snaking, draining, and repairing, and afterwards EVERYTHING was fixed, there was no sewage issue (the previous plumber was either too lazy to do the job right or was trying to quote us unnecessary repairs), and he explained everything to us plainly so we could understand. He was so friendly, easy going, and provided a ton of honest information. Thank you Keith, and thank you Champion!

My kitchen sink was badly clogged. I love fixing things myself but my plunger didn't do the work nor a 25ft long powered snake that I had rented from Home Depot.
I had previously contacted a different plumber who didn't end up showing up for two days in a row and I was beyond impressed when Gus knocked on our door on a Friday evening within 90 minutes from the time I first messaged him on Yelp.
Did Gus fix the kitchen sink? Yes. Was he in and out in less than an hour? Yes. Did we learn a couple of plumbing faqs from a plumber with a 20 year experience? Absolutely.
We totally recommend him!
Good job Gus! Next is getting Gus to change our 16 year old water heater.

We had an emergency problem where water was appearing in our basement, and it looked like a main sewer backup. We had this problem before just had a few months prior. So on a Saturday morning (my birthday no less) I sent out a frantic yelp cry to a couple businesses. Gus responses within minutes before 10am on a Saturday. He responded that because this had happened before, it was time to put a camera down to see what was going on. This was great! I like people who are trying to solve the problem instead of dealing with the symptom. I told him it was my birthday and asked if there was any way we could get a window of time so we wouldn't have to be home all day waiting (which I would have dealt with because it was all so last minute). Minutes later he tells me he has people on the way already! He also pointed me to his website where there were coupons. What kind of company points you to their own coupons? Great ones? Less than two hours after the initial message, we had folks in our house.

To top it off, they identified the problem for us. It wasn't a clog in the drain, but we had more serious issues and took the time to explain it. He showed me the issue on the camera and he even offered to put 50% of our payment from that day's service towards the much more costly repairs which we have to do to fix the pipe.

In sum, incredibly professional, very friendly and kind guys to work with that we will use exclusively now for all our plumbing needs.

On November 21st I exchanged 7 emails with Gus the owner regarding running a waterline from my sink to the refrigerator. He quoted a price:

The job was scheduled for the 27th between 8 and 9 am. On the assigned day, no technician had arrived by 9:30, I called them - Gus stated he would call me back in 10 minutes. I received"" no call from either Gus or the technician, At 10:40 I emailed Gus stating that I had not heard from anyone and when would someone be arriving? He claims that the technician had been attempting to call me, but I never answered - funny I have no missed calls on my phone. 15 minutes later, the technician calls telling me he started late and had property managers to deal with first and could be at my home by 1:00 pm. Not happy, but fine, lets just get this done!

The technician arrived at 12:30, spent 15 minutes looking around the property and shows me his quote for $750.00.

So not only was Champion 3 and a half hours late, they more than doubled the agreed price.

I cannot say how their work product is, because I declined the service. If the owner is going to give a price and then double it I cannot believe that he would stand behind his work. I would avoid at all costs or the price you are given will double when they come to your home. Additionally, I asked the technician who claimed to have been calling me and getting voicemail all morning to show me the unanswered calls - he refused. I wouldn't trust this company with anything.

Champion went the extra mile to clear a drained clog that I was unable to fix. I realized that they spent more time then they anticipated but made sure that the drain was cleared. They were very courteous and professional.

I contacted Mr.Gus via yelp ""quote request"" and followed up with a phone conversation. Mr.Gus displayed professionalism and knowledge throughout the conversation. He took his time to explain as well as suggest with the issue at hand. I provided pictures of work needed that entailed needing valves replaced / new shower diverter installed/unclog sink i am thoroughly pleased with price given which beats some of the well known companies.

We had a plumbing emergency late at night involving a broken fire sprinkler head. I called at least a dozen ""24 hour"" plumbing companies including several big name ones. Most of them just had 24 hour operators, some only had answering machines but Champion Plumbing actually answered!
I spoke to Gus, I texted him some pictures and he helped band-aid the problem over the phone. He arrived the following morning assessed the situation and gave me an estimate. Long story short, he and his team fixed the problem for much less than he originally estimated. They were extremely efficient, super friendly and performed quality work.
Gus even followed up the next day to make sure I was satisfied with their work. I would highly recommend them.
