In June 2019 I purchased a year old AC Unit for $3500 from Champion HVAC and Plumbing, Wilfred Carter. I was told I had a 5 year warranty on the compressor and one year labor warranty. By April 2021, less than a year from the purchase, it was no longer working. Mr. Carter indicated that the unit was probably leaking freon due to a bad Air Compressor and indicated that it may need to be changed out (this was prior to him coming to diagnose the problem). He came and installed the air compressor on May 24th. He damaged my attic door. I let him know about the damages and he indicated that he would fix it. The next day I contacted him and let him know the temperature would not go down past 77 degrees. He indicated that he was working in Alabama and would call when he got back. I contacted him again on May 27th letting him know the unit was still not working and I was under warranty and also asked about the damage to my attic. He stopped responding. The following year, I had another leak in the system. When I contacted Mr. Carter on 6/10/22 and let him know about the problem, I refreshed his memory on who I was. He indicated that he was going to Aruba and would return on Monday. I contacted him Tuesday and he stopped responding. My Air Compressor is still under warranty and he refused to answer my calls. He did some research and determined he does not have a business license or a license with the conditioning air board. However, he is advertising like he is licensed. He posted an ad with license #Ga16467. I called another company Assured Comfort and Heating and Plumbing and they indicated that my system was incorrectly installed. The Air Compressor was mis matched from the AC Machine, and duct work was missing. I have attached their diagnoses. They also indicated that I need a new system.

We truly appreciate the company's sense of urgency. We had been without heat for almost 3 weeks. When the leasing company finally contacted Champion, they came out the same day and gave us an estimate. After getting approval from the leasing company, they came back out and fixed the issues within 20 minutes. We were also very thankful the technicians from Champion went out of their way to wait for us to get home from work (about 7pm) so we wouldn't have to freeze another night!! The gas company turned off the gas in my house in order to change out the meter. They inspected the furnace when they were lighting the pilot and noticed a small leak. I had to have the furnace repaired before the gas could be turned back on. I called Champion and they answered my call immediately and were out to do repair within a few hours. Excellent service!

Wilfred Carter owner of Champion HVAC and Plumbing and his crew recently installed 2 new Goodman Furnaces and 1 AC unit in my home. I had already installed a new AC unit for downstairs, but the Furnace was marginal. Both AC and Heating was working fine but was old and eventually need replacing. Wilfred Carter left me with no warranty information for the furnaces and air conditioners installed and the top heating unit is not working as of a day Safter installation. I had already paid Mr. Carter and He has since stopped communicating with me. The work he performed is extremely tacky and I am experiencing a difficult time trying to get Mr. Wilfred to come back and fix the problem. He has stopped answering my texts and calls. This is very cold and unprofessional of Mr. Carter. Seemingly, after Mr. Wilfred was paid, he wanted nothing else to do with me. Now, when I turn on the heat upstairs the air conditioner comes on. Now, I am reduced to using a portal heater until I can get the problem resolved. This has been a nightmare for me. Please don't allow Wilfred Carter and his crew at Champion HVAC & Plumbing touch your HVAC unit. Henry B.

If you want to support a local family owned business and need repairs, this is the company to use! I found out my water heater was busted and my heating system recently has not been working as well as it should. I called these guys early Thursday morning around 9 am and they were able to get to my house a little before 11 am the same day. They quickly replaced the entire water heater and fixed my heating system in a little over 2 and a half hours. Carter even kept me up to date with how much the water heater was going to cost by sending me a photo of the water heater at home depot. While he was picking up the water heater, Drake was draining my broken water heater and taking it apart. Great teamwork! The service was fantastic and Drake and Carter were both very professional.

Probably the most professional, coolest, and knowledgeable company I've met in a while. Three days ago, my wife and I came home to find that our HVAC unit was down. The house was freezing and very comfortable. After making several calls to different """"expert"""" heating and cooling companies and talking to after hours customer service reps, I grew frustrated. Every company told me the same thing, """"we can come out if you are willing to pay $135 for the visit this evening?"""" It was clear to me their interest was not in helping us but padding their own pockets even before hearing out our concerns. I was fortunate enough to get in contact with Carter, owner of Champion Heating and Plumbing. He answered my call with professionalism, was concerned about my issues, diagnosed it over the phone, and coordinated a time to visit that made sense. When he and his crew arrived they took the time to trouble shoot every possible issue and even spoke with customer support for my Emerson Sensi WiFi Thermostat 4x throughout the visit to get a resolution to my wiring issues and install the thermostat unit correctly for me. Carter made sure they did not leave until every possible option was assessed and that, to me, is real customer service. The service was exceptional and the cost was very reasonable. So reasonable in fact, that I decided to give him and his crew an unsolicited tip just because I was so impressed.
