Go green became champion within the last 5 years and the warranty didn't transfer correctly so there is a dispatch fee which wasn't mentioned in the installation contract with go green. The merge took place without going into all of the details. It is totally unfair and champion should refund the warranty money to the customers and go after go green to get reimbursed.

As always, when I have a problem with my air conditioner there is know better company than Champion Air Conditioner And Plumbing. This time my wall temperature gage quit working properly. One call and they were there promptly to replace it. But I would be remiss if I didn't mention my Service Representative Billy Hernandez, He was not only professional, but caring to our situation.
I also want to thank the young lady that took my call at their office.

I had contacted Champion AC & Plumbing to repair a leaking pipe on the bottom floor of my house. They came out on January 26, 2024 to diagnose the problem, quoted me about $6,700, and "repaired" the pipe on January 27, 2024. I thought $6,700 was exceptionally high to charge but had no reason to believe the repair was done poorly.

However, a week later, on February 2, 2024, I smelled dampness in the same area of the original repair, and discovered that the originally "repaired" pipe was actively leaking. The repair had failed because the soldering job of the new pipe was improper and did not form a perfect seal. As you can see in the photo I've uploaded, the "repaired" pipe by Champion was leaking (it's the copper pipe on the right side of the photo). Given the urgency of the problem, I didn't trust Champion any more so I found another plumber to fix the job Champion should have done originally (given the high cost). As you can see in the pictures of the pipe itself the soldering job was done improperly and didn't form a complete seal.

I am extremely disappointed that I spent so much on a repair job that created a new leak that required another repair.

I strongly discourage anyone from using Champion AC & Plumbing - they charge exorbitant fees and still don't complete the job -- requiring you to find a new plumber. You cannot trust the quality of their work -- which is deeply disappointing given their very very high fees and costs.

It's been 4 years and the system is running like a beast! I had my annual maintenance done by Frank Barbera. Frank is professional, courteous and had the maintenance done in no time!
Frank emailed my invoice that included pictures of his readings and a detailed check list of what he completed. Thank you to Champion AC & Plumbing!

After reading some of the posts around overcharging, Champion AC charged me hundreds of dollars to replace a capacitor as well. Like many others say it is a lesson learned. Beware, educate yourself before having service done. Not sure if I will get a discount now but they need to be more transparent on pricing. Wanted to gut my entire AC system for double of what other companies are charging. Also pushing finances with interest rate of 9.9%. Also pushed maintenance package for a monthly fee. Declined several times.

Edited: They reached out swiftly after I posted the review and offered a membership discount. I appreciate their fast response as they strive for 5-star service. It would be more appreciated if they are more transparent and disclose the pricing with the customers prior to the repair going forward (or you remember to ask as the technician might forget). Anyway, their customer service is great. My below comment is just about the pricing.


$540 total charge for just the AC capacitor replacement which you could get for less than $20 on Amz is horrendous. Anyone who sees this review, if your AC is running but not blowing cool air, go check your thermostat or replace the capacitor because that's one of the most common reasons. The last thing you would want to do is to call the repair service, after you have tried all solutions from Youtube. My mistake was that I didn't ask them for the final price before proceeding with their service as I didn't know they would overcharge this much. Do not let them take advantage of your inexperience like I did. I could've been able to save $430 of hard earned money. Lesson well learned.

beware beware beware!!!!!! had a toilet that would not stop running and called champion. $677.97 later and a new flapper and toilet valve they left. what a rip off!!!!!! parts were $40. very deceiptful. a whole new toilet is $300. wow just wow.

We had Champion AC come out to do yearly tune up on our two air conditioning units. They bought out the company we had been with for 15 years. The units were working fine and had no issues just needed routine maintenance and two filters replaced. They kept trying to sell us their maintenance package which we declined multiple times. We were told we had a leak at the unit outside, then it progressed to we needed a new coil inside. Now since they have been here the air conditioning is not cooling at all. It was working fine before they came. They changed two filters and because we did not do the maintenence package it was 408.00. The previous day their plumbing side of the business flushed our two water heaters to the tune of 500.00. So for a yearly check up for plumbing and AC. 908.00. Highway robbery. Of course the explanation was it was because we didn't do their maintenance package so the charge is more expensive. Beware of this company.

Never call this company. They charge ridiculous prices and add the $88 service call charge to the outrageous bill. I was taken advantage of by a charge of $384 for a toilet fix that took 10?minutes. Save your hard earned dollars and go elsewhere
