Used Chabert for a pipe repair job. Customer service was awesome. Kimberly in the office was prompt and answered all my questions. Pete was able to come out for an estimate within an hour of my initial call. He offered different options to fit within our budget. The team that came out to do the work was timely, cleaned up after themselves and communicated along the way. Chabert ended up being the most cost effective and quick option - we're so glad we used them and would happily use them again in the future.

Terry and his team came to my house multiple times to repair my water heater. He is extremely friendly and professional, and I will trust Chabert to do more of my plumbing work in the future. Kim at the back office is extremely responsive and helpful as well. Thank you!

Very friendly, professional staff! I called with my plumbing issue and was able to have someone out later the same day. I liked that they wore masks for my safety and theirs as well. They communicated the issue and what it would take to fix it. If I run into more plumbing issues in the future I will be using them again!

We had a small issue with some miscommunication between folks involved on the job, and I wasn't thrilled with the outcome. But I am sincerely BLOWN AWAY at the quality of customer service. They more than made it right, and it is clear this company cares about customer satisfaction.
I never expected such customer service from a plumbing company...my perception was tainted by past bad experiences with other companies.

This was my first call (top of the Yelp list for best reviewed and close) for fast plumbing help today in S. Austin. Mike answered and said he'd be over in a few hours. He was here in 2 hours. Problem found and fixed.

Well, called Chabert to fix a leaky shower (the one they fixed in March of 2011) and left a message. They never called me back! Went with Wilson Plumbing instead, and they were great.

Had a bad water stain in my ceiling. Called Chabert plumbing based on the reviews here on Yelp. They were responsive and came in to do a diagnostic, but they diagnosed the wrong problem! They tested "everything" and found no leak. The cut open a hole in my ceiling for further investigation, and said there's a pipe that was "improperly fixed" before. Personally, I'm very skeptical about these things, because I'm no expert, so someone telling me an old problem from which no water was leaking was the problem made me very unsure.
Regardless, we went ahead with their recommendation to fix and replace a pipe. That project cost $400. A couple weeks later, my roommate took a bath, and the ceiling started leaking! We never take baths, so we can see how the problem/leak has been missed for so long.
The REAL problem ended up being a broken/disconnected bathtub overflow. HOW CAN A PROFESSIONAL PLUMBER MISS THIS IN A DIAGNOSTIC???! I DO NOT KNOW.
I called Paul repeatedly about the "newfound" problem and for referrals to fix the holes they cut. I'm very accommodating, and understood he was busier with a commercial project, but I mean...you didn't fix my problem and I paid you.. Since he was busy, Paul gave me the contact for another plumbing company who came and fixed the issue for another $400. Another hole needed to be cut from a bedroom wall.
So..in total. I paid over $1000 (both plumbing jobs plus dry wall patching and retexturing) for a job that should only have cost $600 max. I haven't even gotten to repainting the re-patched walls.
I feel gipped even as I write this.

Completely disappointed. I wanted to believe my fellow Yelpers...and I've been patient trying to hear back from these guys....but what a FAIL. It's been about 4-5 days playing phone tag with the brothers on getting an estimate for a commercial job.
1. Thursday morning I called asked to get an estimate and time and day when they could check out the place. They said they would call to confirm a time on Friday to check. (Never called back on Thursday when they said they would) (First sign of lack of keeping their word)
2.Friday comes along, they pretty much call about 30 minutes before they can come to the place (around 4-5pm) and I'm still in business 10am-7pm (Mon-Sat) and can't just up and go whenever they are free and give me no lead time.
3.Monday 8am (today) they call in the morning to try and get a mutual time to get an estimate (which we agreed after 7pm), and Paul says he will call his brother to see if he is free too and WILL call me back to CONFIRM.
I made it clear that I'm working 10am-7pm all day and won't be able to get to the location til about 7:30pm. They called around 7pm, and I'm still at the shop working, since they NEVER called back to let me know that they will be coming by. I called back and let them know that I can make it there in 15 minutes since I have to close up the store and drive.
Paul makes a snide comment saying that we agreed to meet at 7pm, and that I agreed upon this. I truly hate it when people try to put words into your mouth, and especially when I was never contacted for any confirmation on time. If I made a mistake on communication on my part I could completely admit to my fault. I have been waiting all day for them to reach me back to confirm if it was going to happen, and even if I agreed to it, I told them it would be 7:30pm at the earliest that I could make it there. He gives me this rude fuss saying that their going to grab food then come back. (So basically, wants me to wait til when they feel like returning?)
You think after dealing with them, giving them 4-5 days to get their act straight, and lack of communications? I clearly can't trust them with a commercial job and believe that it's going to come out as they say.

One of my tenants was having major plumbing issues so I found this plumber on Yelp so he could check out the place. Not only did he actually show up on time but he was also very affordable and flexible. He understood my situation and that the tenants themselves would not be paying, so he took the liberty of e-mailing me the invoice which I could later mail in.
Great service and will use him again.
