This is the worse company do not do business with them they charged me a service fee I regret doing business with them I wish I never spent a dollar with them I regret ever spending a dollar with them you can't hire a third party company to ever check out their softeners the sales manger and sales guy came out to my house tested my water and told me everything looks good a single softer will work just fine today I had iron in my water I called company they charged me 99 dollars known they tested my water never recommend a iron softer just to come out and test my water for a service fee I can't tell you how cocky the employees and staff from customer service get with people they have no sympathy that someone just spent all that money with them I will never ever recommend this place rip off scammers

Had them install a water softener as well as a water filter system in 2008. Both systems have been working great since then.

The couple of times I've had an issue (usually because of my own stupid mistakes) they have been very responsive and helpful.

I've called and stopped in at the store several times. They are always very courteous and helpful.

This company has such a passion for their customers! We had a great experience from start to finish. They have a very knowledgeable team. They did not try to oversell and explained all our options. The K5 RO drinking water system has made a HUGE difference in the taste of our coffee and the foods we eat. The softened water has improved skin issues in our home and saves soap usage in our dish washing and laundry. I highly recommend using them for all your water needs!

The salesman that came out was very enthusiastic. We were pricing between Kinetico and the brand Costco refers. Pricing was in the same ballpark, so we decided to go local with Kinetico. Install took the WHOLE day, but to be fair it was a big job and the installers did a nice job. Salesman was out of town, so I would have thought he would check back in when he returned to see how the install went. I was wrong. No further contact and his voice mail is always full. For a year, the system worked well. At approximately the 14 month mark, I noticed the water pressure decrease and assumed it was just cleaning out the lines. After another 60 days, a toilet wasn't working right- we changed the mechanics inside the tank, but still the water wouldn't shut off. Within a week, all the toilets had that issue. Then the washing machine wouldn't fill with water and we had to replace our steam shower element and the refrigerator ice and water system wasn't working. We called a plumber and paid for him to say he thought it was a pressure issue - maybe with our well since the water softener was so new. We paid for a well person to make an emergency call, as we were having a large Christmas dinner the next day. Well guy said the well was fine, but it looks like our water softener has malfunctioned and sent resin beads throughout our home plumbing system - clogging all water using appliances. He helped us find the bypass valve as none of the paperwork we were given had information about this issue or what to do about it. Called Kinetico the next morning to see if they could save the day. No, they couldn't, but would send someone out in 5 days! Told the service person that I would tip the person cash to make a special trip that day as I didn't want a dinner party with toilets not working right. I left a message for the manager to call me and did so again on the following Monday and Tuesday - no call yet, but I just left another message. Technician came out, didn't have what was needed so it will be another 8 days without a water softener - that is just 17 months old. The kicker is we are billed $175 for this lovely experience!
I left another message for the manager to contact me - may he will.

I wish I had gone with the Costco water softener.

Used this company for a water softener and a rust removal tank. Spent $7000 for everything. Saturday there is a huge pool of water in my basement. I call them. They tell me someone will call me right back. No one did. Call back Sunday. They again tell me someone will call you back. Meanwhile the water is still leaking in my basement. Finally call back AGAIN Sunday cause no one called me back, their response....
""Oh, no one called you back because they are closed on the weekends!""
Unbelievable! You spend $7000 and this is the best service that you get?!?!
They call me today and tell me they will be out MAYBE Friday. Today is MONDAY. In the meantime, to put my softener of BYPASS. So now all of this crappy water is going to get in my hot water tank, drinking & bathing water etc.
great company huh! I want my f'n money back. This company is garbage.
You're better off going with a mom & pop location that can come out and fix your issues than this company that takes your hard earned money and promises service and warranties that don't mean anything.

I purchased a water system from Kinetico in 2012, it was a very good system and worked great, but due to the high iron content in my water, it just couldn't keep up. Kinetico (Clearwater Systems) totally stood behind their product, they replaced it with a filter which could tackle the problem effectively. They were wonderful, professional and made sure I was happy. I can't say enough nice things about this company and their people, especially Tim who was such an angel! I am a customer for life and highly recommend them and their units to all the public. It was such a pleasure working with people who stand firmly behind their company and work to meet the customers needs in water filtration.

We purchased a Kinetico water softener about 9 years ago. While it was pricey, we've been fairly happy with the performance. This is a good thing, because we learned that obtaining needed service from this company is an exercise in extreme frustration.

Our softener began to behave strangely -- it would keep regenerating and not turn off. We had to wait 9 days for a service call (schlepping laundry to the laundromat in an attempt to save our washing machine from damage, handwashing all dishes) and then the service representative finally came out. After supposedly repairing the machine, it was still regenerating several hours after the service technician left, despite being told it would only do so for about 40 minutes. We then had to deal with an extremely rude person on the phone while trying to get a technician to come back out.

There is no excuse for rudeness to customers, especially when the customer has already been waiting ten days to have an issue resolved. I won't be recommending this product or company to anyone, that's for certain.
