Like all HVAC companies I have had the misfortune to encounter, a service contract means squat when it comes to what they charge. If it is cold out and your heat is off, you'll pay just about anything, and they count on that. Between the 35% markup on parts, charging to go pick up your part, and the supposed ""contract"" rate on the labor, you'd better just get ready to PAY. You'd be better off making sure there's an HVAC guy in your family! I can buy the parts cheaper than they supposedly can! CFS ate up FWHarris, our original installer, and they were great. I would LOVE to find an honest HVAC company that will charge me fairly and not a ""book"" rate. They tried to tell me I got a deal because they could have charged me $200.00 more! This time I watched him, and the next time that part needs to be replaced......
