I began my plumbing journey as an trainee in 1995, focusing on industrial building.
We worked on waste lines, pipeline lines, drainage, exhaust lines, disposal lines, and fixtures including lavatories and sinks.
I earned enough hours to sit for my journeyman plumbing test in Austin and successfully completed it.
I pursued my career in new home plumbing.
I worked as a contractor for 14 years, setting up plumbing in bespoke homes.
I returned to industrial plumbing and applied for my gas piping certification in Austin, which enabled me to work on recent hospitals, multi-story condos, housing complexes, schools, upgrades, and expansions.
I learned from a friend that the service industry was lacking plumbing technicians.
I submitted my application and started working in repair.
I repaired water lines, waste lines, taps, waste lines, on-demand water heaters, and natural gas lines.
With support from my leaders and management, I addressed all plumbing issues.
I made the decision to test my master plumber certification and passed it.
