Trustworthy and effective...they're three for three. Installed my new HVAC a few years ago. Worked w Carla to get the right unit in place. In July, Carla came back at my request and walked thru the house w a thermographic camera that showed air leakage in the walls. The solution was a new blown adhesive substance to plug and seal throughout the system. It was accomplished cleanly and in one day. A clear winner. Then a few weeks later, Phil H came and did the maintenance call. All Central personnel have been polite, professional, and knowledgeable. The best part is what they do works to make the infrastructure and the house better. I've tried Furr and they're maniac up sellers. Central presents as pros and their results make them top of my list.

Once we decided on plan, they sent someone out to do the work within a couple days. I'd have preferred quicker, but the work was professional and thorough.

After running into problems with other heating companies, I recently contacted and used HCSAC, they were extremely professional and not only immediately identified the problem with my furnace, but went out of their way to replace it the same day! I'm extremely happy with the results and price and strongly recommend them.

New HVAC system installed by Central less than 1 year old. Had AC issues and a tech come out to diagnose....said the outside compressor needed new motor ($3K to repair- labor only, parts were under warranty) or I could do a $1,300 holdover which consisted of adding Freon. I chose the $1,300 and contact Carrier directly about their product. Spoke with Carrier, they contacted Central Services and come to the conclusion after speaking with the tech that I did NOT seed a motor. Thank god I did not choose the $3K fix, mad I even did the $1,300. BEWARE!! They also charged me $300 for an air filter, which I could have gotten at Lowes for $40. Took several weeks to return the ""platinum"" membership which was rolled up into the $1,300 package.

Technician was lazy and did not even know how to locate a duct in the attic. It needed resealing but instead, he came up with several other very expensive options (all without looking at the duct because he was too lazy to look for it.
I believe he and the company are dishonest and I will not use them again.

Central Services was one of three companies I had come to give an estimate for a furnace that was giving me trouble. The other two companies gave the same basic advice. Central said the furnace was old and at end of life. The other two said it had 10 more years. Central said I would ruin other important parts by running without repair. Both other companies did not agree. The estimate for cheapest repair from Central Services was $4000.00 more than the other two. Yes those zeros are correct. over four thousand dollars more. I will never use or recommend this company.

Our outside unit stopped working last week and I called Central and they diagnosed the problem ( blown motherboard ) and got it fixed.

The motherboard was actually not available in state so they had to have it shipped. How this was on a Friday and as we were experiencing 90 degree weather I didn't want the 2 year old kids to have to deal with that over the weekend so I tried to see if they could find a way to get the part overnighted and do the work on Saturday.

To the credit of lady I spoke to ( sorry don't recall her name ) she did go out of her way to try and help and genuinely appeared to care. This made me feel valued but the only thing she could offer was for one of their folks to go pick this part up and they would need to charge me $250 for this. When pressed it was clear that this wasn't her decision but management.

At the end of the day the job was done and felt the price was fair.

So why only 3 stars?

1) The company has some policy issues. When you call you're likely to hear someone answer the phone in a very obviously fake and rehearsed ""how can I make you smile today"". Frankly this just made me feel as awkward as the person saying it came across. All the office folks I spoke to - 3 in all - came across as genuine nice people that wanted to help AFTER the were forced to say this. I almost just hung up the first time I called because management policy like this only shows a lack of trust in employee's. This often leads to resentment by employees who in turn do a bad job.

Obviously management here is doing something right because despite this the staff are helpful and friendly - once they are allowed to engage people in normal human conversation.

2) The tech that came out the second time to replace the motherboard lacked a degree of common sense. He came inside to turn off the thermostate and saw I had two young children. I told him where the outside unit was and to ring the bell if he finished. After getting the kids changed and watered I walked back into the front room and he walked out from around the corner scaring the crap out of me. I wasn't very happy about this and told him that he couldn't just come in and out as he pleased without me knowing as I have two toddlers and pets that can go outside. He said ok, but he didn't really seam to care. He did ring the bell next time though.

So in summary - if this company just allowed staff to answer the phone in a natural way ( I think a policy of saying you name and how can I help is all that's needed), and gave some social awareness training to their techs they'd be on their way to five stars easy. At the end of the day if you don't care about how they answer the phone or how they act in your home they do a decent and fair priced job.

Never, ever use this company. They installed a furnace in my house in 2004 and have been servicing it since then. I recently reached out to them to get a quote to install AC. Not only was it very hard to get in touch with them, after I finally reached somebody it took 2 days for them to get back to me and tell me that they wouldn't even come out and look at the system because they didn't want to be bothered with a new install.
