Dino came by today to put in the new faucets for my antique kitchen sink. He and his assistant were amazing. He only needed one visit to assess the problems I was having with the sink, then explain simply getting new washers would not make my life any easier. I agreed. I wanted a new sink altogether, as washing dishes was hurting my back when leaning over. Dino explained that all I needed were my faucets to extend farther out. He was right. The new faucets are working great and my feels a lot better after just one day. Also, his price for the expertise was very much to my liking. I highly recommend Central Service Plumbing!

Quality Work, Knowledgeable, Friendly, but lacks Punctuality.

I contacted Dino around April or May 2014 to replace a leaky water pressure reducing valve at my mom's house. Dino came by on a Thursday to evaluate the problem and provided an estimate. We scheduled to meet early the following morning as his first job, but Dino got caught up with other jobs that delayed the repair work until late in the afternoon. He completed the job in less than 2 hours and made upgrades to our dated faucet and emergency shut-off valve, which was included in the final cost.

I was given a reasonable estimated amount and was told that it shouldn't cost much to repair and make replacements. We ended up paying 35-40% more than the original quoted price. We were okay with paying the final invoice price given the fact that I was unable to the job and the result of his work was better than expected.

I'd recommend them to friends and family, but caution them on Dino's punctionality.



UPDATE: Just recently (late June 2014), I called Dino to check on some water pressure issue that I was having at my house. He said that he would come by shortly to check on it for me and possibly make recommendations as to what's needed to resolve the problem, if any. Dino never came and must've forgot. I ended up not calling him back and MAYBE will try again some other time. It's probably best that I schedule an appointment with Dino and have him call me when he's actually at my front door waiting while I take advantage of my day to run errands.That's better than having to wait around for Dino's late show or no show.

They took care of my clogged drainage system on the first visit. The owner has been in business for over 30 years and he's your all American hardworking personality from the days when American quality and hard work meant something. He has also trained his sons in the business and I had the opportunity to meet both the owner and the future owners today. They were all courteous, professional, and had a positive work ethic. Highly recommended.

My hot water heater went out after only two years. It turned out that I needed to replace the thermal couple. My water heater was under warranty but the company would only provide the parts, which they were going to send overnight, and not the labor/installation. I came across Central Service Plumbing on an internet search. I called them, and the owner, Dino, picked up. Right away I knew this guy knew what he was talking about. Before I could explain the problem, Dino knew what the issue was. Once I received the replacement part the next day in the mail, I left Dino a message. He called back within the hour and was at my house within 20 minutes. He and his son Luke installed the new piece in less than an hour and we have hot water again. These guys have been in the business for over 30 years and know what they are doing, and they are very friendly as well. Oh, and their prices are very reasonable. I called around for a few quotes, and by far, they had the best prices. I will definitely be calling these guys again for any other issues that come up. A+++

These are my go-to guys for all my plumbing and gas stuff. They have helped me out of many a jam and I would only use someone else if I had no other choice. Theyre nice, polite, consistent, they work fast, they get it done right the very first time. Ive had them do little jobs, big projects, emergency stuff, etc. Both in our old house that was on a septic system, and our new house, which is sewer. Its important to me that plumbers and other service people dont condescend to me because I am female, or waste my time by being late, and Central Service would never do such a thing.

I didn't think to look on Yelp, so I found Central Service Plumbing in Angie's List and boy am I happy to finally have a plumber I am so happy with that I will keep him in my short list of resources! He really deserves Yelp's 5 star rating!

I have a corner toilet in a rental that was leaking inside the tank and was afraid that it would be a lot bigger a deal than it was. He schedued an appointment for within 2 days of my call and arrived within the time frame promised. He found that the the shutoff valve to the toilet wasn't working and changed that in addition to changing the parts inside the tank so that everything is good as new again. He was tidy. He really knows his stuff. His price was reasonable and work was excellent. Very trustworthy.

FYI, He says that he does larger jobs too, such as installing new bathrooms, etc...

USED FOR KITCHEN SINK DISPOSALL AND BATHROOM DRAINS IN RICHMOND CA CONDOMINIUM

Plumber called w/ appointment ETA btw 9:30a-10:30a. Arrived at 9:30a, looked at
garbage disposal that was completely rotted, and he noticed a small crack on
P-trap, so all had to be replaced.

Mentioned that the sink pop-ups in the 2 bathrooms were not working. Plumber left to purchase parts and returned about 30 mins later with his son (who will be taking over the family business in near future). The bathroom pop-ups were repaired, and plumber snaked both bathroom drains, and 3' of kitchen drain (THERE WAS NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE FOR THIS).

All work was done neatly & w/o any mess or sign that work had
been done, and the plumber explained completed repairs. Work completed at
11:20a. Very satisfied with service, price and demeanor. Total charge for all work parts and labor was $290.00

We just used this plumber for the first time and were very pleased with the service. Here is what I based my 5 star rating on:

1) I was actually able to talk to a person (the owner no-less) when I called the first time.
2) The owner asked me many questions about my problem until we were fairly certain what the problem was. He then told me how I could do it myself. I didn't have the proper tools, so I asked him to come out. He came out that same day.
3) He gave me a ballpark price and a breakdown over the phone and was very close to the price when completed.
4) He asked me several questions about our equipment over the phone so that he could have the parts with him when he arrived.
5) He arrived very close to the agreed upon appointment time.
6) He was clean, courteous, and professional.

I will continue to use them for our plumbing needs.

I am extremely delighted with Central Service Plumbing. I had them fix a plugged toilet, a noisy & leaking toilet and change the outside main water valve from a gate valve to a ball valve.

This is the first time I have ever used a plumber, since I normally do my own repair work. I could not fix the plugged toilet even after purchasing special tools. Central came in on short notice and immediately fixed the problem. I was so delighted with their workmanship and manner of working that I had them do everything .... even the things I might do.

As I observed them working it was obvious they are not only pleasant while talking to them while they were working, but they are very competent.

Their price was very resonsable and on top of that they provided a senior discount. I didn't even ask for the discount.
