My water heater was 9 + years old and was ready to die. I called a bunch of the larger plumbing companies in Wakefield to have a look at my heating system. One after another they came in with their product to sell. I had estimates ranging from 18K to 25K. They were all saying I had to replace my boiler, even though it was running fine. The new systems were expensive and all seemed to have a pretty steep annual maintenance cost. A few of the guys were fairly condescending trying to act like I was an idiot for not signing right up to do the work. One place actually charged me $49 for a ""Service call""... the guy did no service, he just gave me an estimate! I did the math and the payback time was fairly long.
Central plumbing (Paul) came and looked at my system and listened to what I wanted to accomplish. He said, let me think about the right solution. A few days later he came back with a great solution that let me replace the water heater with a stainless steel indirect tank that I can use later if I decided to replace my boiler or if it dies. This solution cost me about $4K. We have plenty of hot water with a house full of kids taking ridiculously long showers.
Paul is super response to texts (got back to me in minutes when I texted him). He was also totally honest about when he was able to do the job.
End of the day, I was really happy with his work and would highly recommend Central Plumbing to others.
Boiler was not working at my home. They came out and were very punctual initially. They came out on Tuesday and I was told that I would be getting an estimate on the following Monday. I understand people get busy and that it was the week of Thanksgiving but they never followed up with me period. I was just very dissapointed.
