Alex K.HELPFUL TIP: If you live in an HOA and think for any reason the plumber will have to access the pipes by breaking through the outside stucco/wall of your home, contact your HOA prior to the plumbers arrival. Some HOAs have rules on this, mine didn't.
I had a great experience with Central Plumbing. One of my water pipes in the wall was leaking, so of course I had to shut off the water to the house. If you haven't had the experience of not having running water, it is really quite unpleasant. It is definitely something we take for granted, and you'll learn that real fast.
I tried to get a lot of plumbers to come out, and they either: didn't answer, never called me back, scheduled me at the end of the day or the following day.
I called Central Plumbing and Glen came over within the hour (granted I live about a mile away, which is great they are so close). At first he was a little skeptical about how complex the repair might be if the leak was below the foundation, but he didn't give up and checked the leak outside. We made a hole in the side of the house and found a pin-hole leak. He soldered it up, and I had running water again! I felt the price was very reasonable considering how fast they came over and repaired it, especially when I couldn't get anyone else to come out this timely.
Chalee T.I went to their location and found out that the show room is closed according to the posted sign on the door. So I went to the shared office down below and was told that it wasnt Central Plumbing occupying the office. Dont believe the outdated website touting the show room. I just got in my car and left.
I purchased a kitchen faucet from Central about 9 years ago
it started to leak quite a lot.
I called the manufacture and was told there is a 10 year warranty,
I should call Central Plumbing so they can contact them with my purchase information and then the parts will be shipped.
I called Central Plumbing a number of times and got the run around.
First they told me i had to call the Manufacture, I did to confirm
that Central need to make the claim, the answer was yes
I called back Central and I was told by lady that answered phone
to send them a coy of my invoice.
I e mailed copy of my receipt, I made a few phone calls to Central
over the next 2 weeks. Answer always the same, I gave the information to me boss, it takes awhile to process the information.
After 3 weeks of not being able to use my kitchen sink, I e mailed the
manufacture back, told them of the run around I was getting from
Central.
After 1 day of sending proof of purchase date, manufacture sent me the parts.
I called Central back and told them that I was able to take care of my issue in a few hours. The answer I got ""was oh Good"" not sorry that we didn't give you the customer service that we brag about.
I will not purchase anything else from Central Plumbing my neighborhood store
I RARLEY leave a review for anything unless it's something I am 100% sure of.
Central plumbing has worked at the house I grew up in for years. My mother still lives in the same house , and called them out a couple days ago.
Glen came out, he has been here before, but all of the guys have been great, and my 86 year old mother says,
""He worked so hard, he is so patient, he listened to everything I said, and everything works great!""
And it does work great, and it great to be able to comfortably have someone I can trust work on my moms house and not be concerned.
* and the price was great!!!*
Glen replaced our water heater & he did a great job. Compare to other plumbers, Central Plumbing's price was reasonable. I just had to wait one hour for someone to arrive & look at what was wrong, other than that, staff was friendly and service was good.
Brian C.Central Plumbing came out to look at my bathroom faucets. They couldn't work on the since they need to do research. I have been waiting for 9 months (since June 2017) and they still haven't fixed my bathroom faucets. They never call me back with the status. Everytime I call I get the same response ""we're still waiting to hear back from the manufacturer"". This company is a joke especially since they are unable to fix my faucets. I even provided them with the installation instructions for my faucet and they still can't figure out what to do. So I don't what research is needed. I guess Central Plumbing doesn't want my business and I'll make sure they don't get business from my friends or family. This company should really get 0 stars, 1 is way too many.
We called Central Plumbing out for a quote on a very simple job of connecting a 10 foot PVC pipe to the condensate drain on the air conditioning. No opening of walls, no copper or cast iron work. Just glue an elbow to the drain, add the 10 foot of PVC, and send it through a foundation vent grate into the flower bed. They quoted $440 dollars for 1-3 hours of work. The parts are less than $10 so that's between $140 and $430 per hour for labor. WAY OVER PRICED. I can do the job in an hour and I will. I will never call these over priced guys again.
We have used Central Plumbing for our plumbing, air conditioning, and central heating issues for the past eight years. In addition, they and their supurb network of subcontractors, have remodeled 4 rooms of our home (bathrooms in 2008 and 2012; plus our kitchen and dining room in 2016.) The quality and beauty of their work is amazing, and they are very courteous and reliable. They guarantee their work, and after the job is done, they are very willing to return, even many months later, and address any subsequent issues that may have arisen. In their repair and maintence work, they respectfully and knowledgeably take care of all issues and fully explain solutions. In their remodeling work ---actually Chris (the owner) says it well and truly: ""I will see to it, and do whatever it takes, to make sure that you are happy with the finished result."" My wife and I have witnessed how wonderfully Central Plumbing lives up to that standard. Planning is collaborative and they are helpful and patient. It doesn't get better than this with contractors. (BTW Central Plumbing scrupulously adheres to all the California State professional contracting standards regarding payment.)
Sang C.I had leaking pipes everywhere. Glen came out and replaced a few of my cast Iron pipes. He did a good job. Will definitely use in the future
Gabe O.Central Plumbing & Heating sent Glen to make some repairs.
From beginning to end, Glen the technician was discourteous, unfriendly, non-helpful and unprofessional. He repaired two faucets, left one with a trickle of cold water, when it had no issues before his arrival, repaired an in-wall heater and strapped a water heater to the wall.
Too many local small businesses seem to let customer service get lost in the shuffle, yet many overcome that with quality products and/or services. Central Plumbing & the Heating must not understand customer service and the quality of their work, at least Glen's work leaves a lot to be desired.
