Recommended Customer Reviews
I spoke to their install manager Adam and requested they take a look at a install they did incorrectly, all I wanted was for them to review their install, instead they sent a service agent out and serviced the furnace that we had already had serviced, Because this was arranged through our property manager to get access they gave the bill to PMI and it was paid. We received a notice of deduction for the amount from the rent income. Their General manager Jimmy Mauldin argued with us for months and then finally sent a Partial Payment, we are not happy, They did work that was unauthorized and charged us, we do not recommend them for any work.
Incredibly unprofessionally with horrible customer service! Cancelled appointment that we have waited for two weeks for while taking time off work the day of with and hour left in the arrival time window. When we asked for a credit or discount for the time we took off work the office gal laughed and said no. I would not recommend this company, they are unprofessional and don't prioritize or respect their clients time or honor their appointments. We were told we would have to wait another two weeks for an appointment.
Central Oregon Heating and Cooling came out today (8/2/20) to repair an inoperative condensing unit. I was quoted $290 to replace a contactor burned up by an ear wig. ut, I was charged $380 because of an undisclosed ""diagnostic fee"".
Not happy with the bait and switch.
Looks like Clarissa B is getting the last word on all of the COHC negative reviews so I'm revising my review to let everyone know the diagnostic fee was not revealed until after the work was complete. The technician apologized but I would feel better if Clarissa offered to refund the $90 since it was COHC's mistake.
Unfortunately, I had a poor experience with COHC. We had a home inspection recently completed as we are selling our 6 year old home and the inspector found a few small issue that where done incorrectly during installation be COHC when built. I called in to see if they would be willing to fix the detailed issues in the inspection report. The customer service lady stated the diagnostic fee would still apply ($90+) even though it was already diagnosed. I have a very poor experience with the customer service lady who ended up just transferring the phone call without warning out of frustration. Then, instead of taking care of everything in one trip, I had to reschedule yet another appointment to have the AC serviced which also costs me much more than I was expecting. I will not use COHC in the future and I would not recommend service for anybody else.
Steve H.Recently, the fan motor went out on our AC condenser unit. A fan blade had broken causing it to be out of balance. It vibrates so badly that it broke the motor mounts.
Damon of CO Heating, cooling & plumbing came out, diagnosed it quickly, pressure tested the entire system and determined that the fan, motor and mounts would have to be replaced.
The motor mounts were no longer available , so he took the initiative to have a local machine shop fabricate the part needed. It worked fabulously.
Thanks to Damon and Austin at the machine shop, we're back in business and not running on emergency heat!
I appreciate the initiative, integrity and grit to get the job done. A different company suggested we replace the 5T unit at a cost of $11K. The repair and new parts cost less than $250. Really impressed with their work.
Would suggest you give them a call and at least get a quote.
Thanks again guys!
Thank you Central Oregon heating
I called them in the morning and they came the same day fixed my gas furnace within a half hour
Very polite and helpful Thank you so much!!
Susan And James L.I wish I could give them a higher rating as the service guy Derek I think was really nice but couldn't do anything to diagnose or fix our gas insert. Just told us it wasn't something he could fix due to its age and not being able to get to the blower. Told us we needed to replace the whole thing and would have sales call us. After he left we played with it. Turned everything off including the pilot light, let it get completely cold and adjusted the flame height, then restarted it and it worked. I was still charged for the service without anything being fixed, just told it was old, which I already knew.
Tom T.Have had to call them out a couple of times and they were very responsive and friendly which is always appreciated. I am also a fan of their regular service this year it caught an issue with our heating before it became a major issue, which was great.
I will definitely use them again.
We own 5 rental homes in Sunriver and Central Oregon Heating has installed 3 furnaces in 3 of our homes. The first two went pretty good with no complaints, but this last one we had installed this past January was a mess. When you are not there to monitor things, watch out. They were quick to diagnose the problem which lead to a new gas furnace. Since this is a rental I would have though they might as is I wanted to change out the old type (30years old) 1"" furnace filter. They didn't ask. Then they left the paper work I needed to call for the County Inspection in the garage. Remind you this is a rental home and you think the papers were there when I arrived, nope, and on top of this I didn't know we needed to get a inspection until 6 months later when the County called me. I called the office and left a message and emailed twice to complain about the way the duct work was taped to the air filter ducting. NO ANSWER OR CALL RETURNED. So now summer has arrived and the first renters go to turn on the AC. No AC. I was done with Central OR Heating so I called Mt. View Heating. They came out and said whoever did the new furnace install did not hook up the common wire to the AC and that is why it did not work. They took care of the problem and there was a $109 charge. So I called back to Central OR Heating to get reimbursed for the $109 since it was their screwup. Yep, no return call again. So lesson learned. Don't waste your time with this company, as they want your money but won't take the time to make things right. I should have listened to my neighbor and gone with Mt. View Heating right off the bat. Too bad for Central Or Heating as I have two more furnaces to replace and another AC to replace.
So look at their reviews Central Or Heating has received and go with Mt. View Heating.
Got a new furnace and air conditioner for our house in Redmond, They
were very prompt in sending someone over for a quote, yes we bought
it had to pay that day, However it did not pass the city inspection, this I didn't know until 5 months later received a letter, I called Central Oregon
immediately to inform them. They said they had received it but was really busy and would get to it as soon as possible. Today I called again
I spoke with a very nice gal and she arranged for someone to come out
today, I own my own business and I am appalled how people treat people I would not be in business if this is how I treated my customers.
Our customer service is the most important thing without a good service
small business would not survive. I hope their customers receive better
service than I did
