Our medical facility recently used Central Mechanical Services for a significant plumbing system update. Steve and his team handled our patients, employees, and facility with the highest regard. In one instance, going as far as fixing a tiny leak that had nothing to do with their contracted services, simply because they were there and able.

Because of this experience we've now initiated the process of utilizing their services for more ongoing projects, across multiple properties owned. Accounting/administration was a fantastic as well providing clear communication and prompt responses.

It's great to see a business still being run the way things used to be. I highly recommend their services! Thanks Steve and Krystal!

I hired these guys to replace a Rinnai tankless water heater that ran radiant heat and domestic water in a super efficient house. I was told before hand that the old system needed to be reworked and, realizing it was too complicated for me, hired these pros. Unfortunately, they reworked the plumbing only enough to hook up the new heater and it failed to meet Rinnai's standard and they refused to warranty it. I had not read the contract prior to when I dropped off the check at their office, I simply signed it when it was presented to me there. It was a poor decision because they had written that they would hook up to the old system (though I'm not sure I would have caught this because most of the system would have remained anyway.) I'm not sure were communication went bad, but when I tried to figure it out the estimator, Kris, told me a complete fairy tale about his visit to the site. Anyway, not sure if it was a memory issue or other, but I would suggest recording any conversations you have with this guy and read your contract carefully, don't just assume it will be done right.

Feburary 9th, When our pipe under our house broke, I called Central Mechanical. To make a long story short, My pipe broke, then froze because I had to turn off our water.
On Feburary 12th, Dan and son from Central Mechanical came out. The pipe thawed when they put heat tape on it WHEN they tried to fix the break. When it thawed, we still had a small leak. I had to turn our water off again. Then another pipe froze. Since I didn't want to risk a fire under our house, we waited for our pipes to thaw.
On Feburary 13th my pipes thawed again. And again, we still had a leak, only worse! Once again I turned our water off.
I could NOT get them to come back out to see why we still had a break. I called, I texted, my insurance agent called and texted them.

So..on Feburary 18th I finally got a hold of the owner Kriss. When I was NICELY asking when he would send Dan back out, he started to yell at me, telling me that my pipes needed to be thawed and that it was not his guys job to put heat tape on my pipes and that I wouldn't listen to his guys! Kriss Would NOT allow me to talk and explain that my pipes were THAWED, they have been THAWED FOR FIVE DAYS! When I tried to tell Kriss this, he hung up on me! About 30 minutes later Kriss called me back to tell me, he was not going to send anybody out and that I needed to call another company to help me! And no, I did not yell at him. WAY TO GO KRISS! GREAT WAY TO TREAT THE DISABLED! AND WE ARE STILL WITHOUT RUNNING WATER!
ONLY ONE STAR BECAUSE I AM FORCED TO SELECT ONE.

Had central mechanical come out twice to fix tub leak. The second time the service guy lost the paperwork. Was told to replace both seats. Tore the handles off cause he couldn't get the caps off. He only replaced one seat. The one he left had a burr and it tore the rubber washer up. My water bill went way up. Even the new handles didn't fit on the stem. Will never call these guys again. They are a tip off and probably charged for the new handles that he tore off. Would not give them any stars.

Central Heating and Plumbing is Lowe's contracted installer for gas water heaters. I purchased a heater at Lowe's and by default, it was arranged that Central would install and deliver it the next day. Their $50 emergency install wasn't available on that same day even though I was prepared to pay it. I went to Lowe's with photos of the broken heater that was to be replaced, the space where the heater would go, relevant measurements, and description of the space - my garage where there were no stairs or other obstacles...

That night, I received a call giving me a two-hour window in which the installers were due to arrive the next day. I did ask the caller Chris (the boss?) to please update me if the guys were to be late.

I got a call from the installers past the two hour window saying they were on their way but in the end, they arrived one hour past the initially expressed window of time.

When they showed up, they looked at my job, told me they wouldn't do it, claimed they had to return to the main office for a ""detail"" (approval from the boss, it seems) and never called me back. They left my house with the water heater I had purchased and never told me why they wouldn't do the job. When I gave them a call one hour after they left my house, I was told to call Lowe's. Lowe's told me Central wasn't returning to my house at all. It wasn't until I went to Lowe's the next day, and spoke with someone in their ""Install"" department, that I was told I had a ""non-standard install.""

I informed the person in Installation that Lowe's was not being represented well by Central and Central was doing them a disservice.

For the record, I called a local Plumber to do the work that night and they did the entire job in two hours, from start to finish, the very next morning. They also had not seen my job before they arrived.

There was not one single obstacle to doing the work as the location of the water heater install was in the garage. There were no walls, pipes, steps or cars obstructing access.

The installers were rude and unprofessional and took no accountability. Chris, from Central, never returned my call.
