We found Central Air Heating, Cooling & Plumbing here on Yelp after soliciting some potential vendors for a small project installing a sink and swapping the fixture on another. Central Air reached out promptly, was timely and flexible in scheduling an estimate, and getting an installation scheduled.

Ryan came out to our home both times and gave us options and great advice on how to achieve our project goals. The installation was really seamless and professional and we're incredibly happy with the results! Thanks Ryan and team!

We woke up in the morning with an issue of no heat. Going into the garage water was dripping from the ceiling down into the furnace essentially causing it not to heat up. We turned off the water, it was clear there was a leak in a pipe somewhere. Everyone said the soonest someone could come out would be at least 2 weeks. The dispatcher called from Central Air Heating to talk a bit more about what was going on, we determined it was definitely a pipe issue and not a furnace issue so she checked with her Plumber dispatcher and got someone out the same day 40 minutes later. Ryan introduced himself, I showed him where the problem was. He was able to quickly identify the issue with a fracture in the CPVC pipe. He took pictures, and after the quote, we did the work because it had to be done. It was fixed within the hour, he tested it and made sure there were no other leaks. He was polite, courteous, and genuine, and the dogs loved him. He was really good with the dogs who just wanted to play. If I needed a plumber I would definitely use Central Air Heating again and would love it if Ryan came back out.

Requested a quote through Yelp to replace an old hot water heater. They responded quickly and had an appointment set up right away. There was a small mixup with getting my address wrong, but the plumber Stan was very professional and did a great job answering my questions and cleaning up afterward. The final cost was exactly as quoted, and I'm very happy with the whole experience.

We have a sewage pump in our basement, which failed us mid-day on a Saturday. This left the basement occupant unable to use any sink or the toilet. I went to Yelp to find a plumber. There was only one response over the weekend, from a company we didn't use. Monday Central Air Heating, Cooling & Plumbing contacted us. Their plumber came out in late morning, made a run for parts, came back and installed the pump. To that point everything was fine. Everything would be better than fine by the end of this review. Please continue reading. When it came time to test the pump the plumber found out the hard way that a coupler was loose, and he told me that he forgot to torque down the bolts. That caused grey water from the sewage pump to spray about the area. Unfortunately for the plumber, he took the brunt of the spray, which saved our food pantry almost completely. My wife, son and I spent quite a bit of time finding and cleaning what needed. I asked the plumber if there was anything his company could do to make up for the honest accident, and he talked with his boss about it. I spoke with the manager today, stating that nothing of value got permanently damaged, and I asked for a specific amount of money off the price for our inconvenience. To my surprise, the manager pretty much double what I'd asked for.

Some things went incredibly well here. 1, it's VERY obvious that Central Air Heating, Cooling & Plumbing stands behind their work, and that's my biggest concern when hiring a contractor. This company aced the test. 2, The plumber himself had the integrity to say that he overlooked tightening the bolts. He even put that on a report to his boss. Integrity test aced. 3, The work itself turned out great. 4, They came out on the first business day after the pump failed.

I had a toilet leak. I was able to get a same day appointment. The service was friendly and professional. I've used them to service my furnace also and I think I have found a company I will stay with for the long term.

I was charged 50 dollars for them to come and look at my faucet for 10 seconds and then try and charge me 500 for washers. I won't be using them again.

I have used Central Air the last few years. Professional, courteous and did a great job. I would recommend them to anyone needing furnace or air-conditioning services. Good pricing as well.

So this is factual information provided by a central air employee and I am someone super close To them willing to say concerns. Anyone looking to get service from central air be incredibly careful. They send out a lead installer and an apprentice. These guys at central air send out their installers NOT LICENSED OR CERTIFIED to do electrical work and the management tells them to install anyways. Putting your home at risk. There has been instances where installers have cut out the structure of customers homes and not hiring professional framers to fix it or even letting the customer know what they are doing. The management tells the installers to do it. Central Air has also done plumbing work and Made guys who aren't Licensed or certified to work on a hot water heater or other plumbing needs. Anyone who's had work done from central air make sure you check what they have done thoroughly because they over charge their customers and management has installers ""complete"" a job the incorrect way to ensure the job is done same day so they can receive payment as soon as possible. Please everyone reading this if you Have read this far this is factual. They do dirty dirty business and the owner Andrew knows and is aware how things are done and he does not do anything to make things change All for the sake of saving the business money All while overcharging and stealing ""you"" the customers money.

No Respect for your Time. I had 2 meetings set with this company for them to come give a price and proposal on a 30 year old ac/furnace replacement.
The first meeting was a no show, when I called, the service tech was sick...fine, that happens. I rescheduled to be the first appointment of the day on a Friday morning. Window was 9-10. At 9.45 I called them asking if he was close. The technician hadn't left the yard yet. They're in Canby, I'm in Hillsboro. They didn't bother to call and, admittedly, don't call any customers until the tech is on the way.
If this is how they prioritize new business and a full replacement job, I definitely don't want to ever be an ""existing"" customer and see how I'm treated.

The pressure switch on my Lennox gas furnace failed meaning we had no heat during recent freezing temps. We called Central Air and explained the dilemma and even provided them with the furnace model number and the error code indicating pressure switch failure. They arrived the next day vacuumed out the interior of the furnace and amazingly diagnosed the failure as a pressure switch failure (didn't I already tell them that?) although they didn't have a replacement part available. The tech said ""special order, sometime next week"". That wasted trip cost $119.

Next week arrives and we receive a quote to replace the pressure switch - $427 plus another $75 ""charge to obtain non van stock part"" - total $502 but wait, there's another $7.08 charge, ""Est. Financing"". What financing? We were paying cash. $509.08 total estimate.

This all seemed odd to me as pressure switches online were listed from $25 to $60. I called the Lennox parts store and they sold the manufacturers replacement switch to me for $32.99. It was in stock, I picked it up from the store, less than10 minutes from my house. BTW, that Lennox parts store is just 1.8 miles from Central Air.

Replacement of the old switch took less than 5 minutes and required no tools - a simple matter of pulling 4 hoses from the old switch and pushing them onto the new switch; likewise, four pull off / push on electrical connectors. The switch itself just pushed into a slot on the furnace, again no tools required. The YouTube video explaining the install isn't even five minutes long.

Doing it myself cost $32.99 and less than 30 minutes, including drive time to the store and back.

Central Air wanted $628 ($119 + $509) and expected me to wait for days.

I understand a business must include a mark-up for overhead and profit but really, Central Air, this is scandalously ripping people off.
