My wife and I purchased a home built on a slab in 1959. Slab construction means there is no crawl space area and much, if not all plumbing service is under and comes up through 4 to 6 inches of concrete. This type of construction can pose some challenges for plumbing contractors who can't readily access pipes in and under the slab. We called Cedar Bluff Plumbing for assistance with both repair and remodeling services. Stephen Anderson did an outstanding job in moving a water heater which was no small task. He cut the concrete, moved the pipes to the location of a planned wall and then ran the plumbing overhead and down an exterior wall to the new location of the heater. The 4/12 pitch roof did not afford Stephen much room to work but he got it done quickly. He was also successful in clearing drains for kitchen sink and washing machines. Then, for whatever reason, the quality of work on installation and trim details dropped considerably. I became disgruntled and lost confidence that the remaining work could be finished to my satisfaction. I expressed my concerns to management and very quickly received a call from Timmy Brummitt who is the service manager. I was very impressed with Mr. Brummitt on this call because he did not interrupt me as I explained my concerns. He then asked me if he could have an opportunity to ""restore your confidence in Cedar Bluff Plumbing."" I decided to work with him and the next day he was on site evaluating the completed work. Mr. Brummitt convinced me that he had a lot of pride in his work and the reputation of Cedar Bluff Plumbing. As an example he reworked some plumbing which necessitated opening up a sheetrock wall. In a spirit of cooperation I offered to close and finish the wall after the work was complete. Shortly after Mr. Brummitt left that day he called me back and asked me if I could be on site at 9 am the next morning. When I asked why he told me he had hired a sheetrock contractor to come and patch the wall! My confidence was restored and there were several other incidences in which I made request and he granted them with no questions ask. I don't feel it necessary to disclose the credit I received on my final bill but I really appreciated the gesture of fairness. Every company in every industry experiences problems with personnel performance. What matters to me is how the company approaches the problem. Do they even care? I can tell you that Cedar Bluff Plumbing cares and if by chance you have a legitimate problem they will make it right.

Work being done outside residence NO need to come inside. One guy wore mask the other guy NOT wearing mask opened door to my house without permission as I was telling him NO do NOT open my door DO Not Open my door! He stood there door open as I said 3rd time shut the door get out, there's a pandemic and you are not wearing a mask! Please put on a mask! He said yes ma'am stepped back and did not put in a mask entire time here around 2 people at high risk. NO respect.

I called this company to make an appt and the receptionist was less than friendly. Then, I told her what I needed done and she stated that I could be put on the schedule for an upcoming day between 8-12 or 1-5 - they could not make a specific appt time. Which means they are like the cable company - I can just sit and wait without knowing when they are coming. She also wanted a credit card to set me up as a ""new customer"". No Way. I told her to forget it.

As I left home this morning, I noticed that my water heater was leaking. I called these guys with little hope of anyone getting to me today. They came to my house this afternoon, fixed my issue and were so kind! I highly recommend this company! Kim, who runs their office, was so helpful in a stressful situation! Great service!!

Until recently, I would give Cedar Bluff Plumbing(CBP) four stars.
However, the most recent job CBP made a mistake, and I paid for their mistake with ~$1000 and a lot of aggravation.

The employees of this company show little regard towards the public and the safety of the public. Employees pass on the shoulder to get around you, slam on their brakes to keep from hitting the vehicle in front of them causing you to act quickly to avoid a rear end collision. Employees tailgate vehicles in front of them for driving the maximum speed allowed. Employees use their cellular phone, distracted driving, while driving. Employees drive on left of center. Considering the the behavior of the employees on public roads, why would the employees treat you any different on your own property? These employees mistreated me on public roads, they will not mistreat me on my property, in other words, they don't get my business.

They were a big help at our neighborhood pool this year. I think the business that closed our pool didn't blow out the pipes causing 7 leaks - Cedar bluff plumbing saved the day by working is on their busy schedule. We have been a customer for years - too long to come up with a number- and have had great timely service. The rates are reasonable and I appreciate their honesty. They are honest and trustworthy.

What a ripoff! The only positive thing about the experience was that they showed up a few hours after I called. We had a block in our main line and water flooded the downstairs bathroom and part of the hallway. This happened before and I rented a machine from Depot to clean it out. I thought this time I would call a plumber since I didn't have a lot of time. A neighbor had told me about Cedar Bluff Plumbing so I called them. BIG MISTAKE! These guys were at our house less than an hour and charged us $300! I will never use these pirates again! That is over half my salary! I should have done it myself but decided a neighbor's recommendation was good enough. Boy was I stupid.

Unprofessional and unresponsive. After being told I would have to pay $50 for a consultation, I waited a full day for Cedar Bluff Plumbing to show up. I confirmed with the office early afternoon and was assured they would be there that afternoon. I guess their time is more valuable than mine and they don't need the business.

I live out of state and own a home in Knoxville that is rented and managed by an agency. Last year the shower faucet regulator and water heater needed repaired. The agent called Cedar Bluff Plumbing for the repairs. I was to be notified with the price before work was to be done. They went ahead without notifying me and fixed the faucet and replaced the water tank with the wrong one and charged me $1200. The agent went and paid the bill without my approval so I was stuck without recourse. The plumber told the renter he charges $105 an hour which is outrageous. The water tank is the type that is used in RVs and is around $400 and is enclosed. The watertank is in the kitchen and now exposed. The faucet wasn't replaced, just a valve. The plumber did check other pipes under the house for problems.
