C.A.W. stands for Carey Arthur Woods IV - the fourth generation from our heritage. Chip Woods is a third generation Cooling Expert in our family. Around 60 years ago, Chip's ancestor, Carey Woods Jr., transitioned from his role as Technical Designer at Bryant Air Conditioning in Tyler, Texas and founded C. Woods Company in Tyler.

In 1977, after duty in the Navy, Chip's parent, Carey Woods III, bought JP Morrow, a full-service heating and A/C company, in Alice, Texas. Chip's parent operated JP Morrow for more than 20 years before handing it over to move back to Tyler and lead C. Woods Company from his aging father. You could say that the Woods family has air conditioning within their genes.

In 1993, Chip Woods finished Texas A&M in Kingsville with a degree. At 25, in 1995, he secured his TACLA license and launched his own venture, running as C.A.W. Company, Inc. since that time.

At C.A.W., we think our clients warrant the best heating and climate control services we can provide. C.A.W. thinks that concentrating on superiority and detail distinctly distinguishes us from the others. An AC business can't last long nor evolve into one of the biggest replacement companies in the area unless it offers the best service possible by delivering superior support and uncompromising quality at a fair rate. We aspire to be the top and will not rest until our customers realize that we are.
