C.A.W. stands for Carey Arthur Woods IV - the fourth generation in our lineage. Chip Woods serves as a 3rd HVAC Specialist in the family. Around 60 years ago, Chip's forebear, Carey Woods Jr., departed from his job as Technical Designer at Bryant Air Conditioning in Tyler, Texas and established C. Woods Company in Tyler.

After duty in the Navy in 1977, Chip's dad, Carey Woods III, took over JP Morrow, a full-service heating and A/C service, in Alice, Texas. Chip's parent led JP Morrow for more than 20 years before transferring to go back to Tyler and take over C. Woods Company from his retiring predecessor. It could be said that the Woods family has air conditioning inside their heritage.

Chip Woods received his diploma from Texas A&M in Kingsville in 1993. He acquired his TACLA license and started his own company in 1995 at age 25 and has been managing as C.A.W. Company, Inc. since then.
