Recommended Customer Reviews

I've had Castle Plumbing do work on both my home and rental properties. Kelly has always been honest and reliable. Recently I had a few things done on an old house. Kelly replaced a water heater, changed a faucet, replaced a washing machine valve, and redid some sewage piping. Everything was done professionally and it was a welcome improvement. I highly recommend Castle Plumbing.

Kelly's done a lot of work for me over the years, starting when we bought our house and we needed the pipes inside a wall moved around to accommodate our new washing machine. He's always been honest and friendly without any nonsense in the pricing. Good guy.

We went through a lot of plumbers before finding Kelly.
He has done small jobs like drippy faucets and big jobs like completely replacing my main line. This is the real deal as far as independent plumbers go. My search is over.
Castle was referred to by my neighbor who had a slab leak and a main line break. She swears by Kelly and his crew as well. I refer him to friends without hesitation.

I have used Kelly and Castle Plumbing for several years. I can always count on professional, courteous service. I have an older house (1949) that was added on to by a real DYI guy. So, I am used to having repair people tell me that my house is a little quirky. Kelly always figures a way to solve the problem in a timely manner, at a fair price. I would not hesitate to recommend Kelly.

the handle of the toilet in the main bath had broken several times in the 3 years we'd had it (flipped house, new toilets) then the inner components broke as well, so we called castle plumbing based on reviews on angle's list.
kelly called me back immediately and we set up the appointment for the next morning. we also knew we were getting close to the end of the hydro-jet service we'd had a couple years prior, so i asked him to do that while we had a plumber here, anyway. this was was supremely fortuitous as the ENTIRE HOUSE backed up that next morning.
after they'd rooted the lines to clear them ($160 of our bill), kelly took a look at the toilet. when he saw the brand, he said that it was one that ONLY took ITS OWN parts and they had to be special ordered, at a cost of about $150 and a wait of at least a week. since the handle had already broken 3x (at about $20 each time, plus going to home depot and doing the change) i asked how much a brand new, installed toilet would be. he gave me a price of $295-$500 depending on the model, which i thought was fair. i chose one in the middle and we made the appointment for two days later to install it.
kelly came back and installed that quickly and easily. i got a 10% discount for angie's list so the total was $545
i was impressed with his professionalism, his demeanor, and the fact that he was super aware of my very-fearful puppy (i know that sounds like it's a non-starter, but those kinds of things are important to a home owner when they're having service people in the house) i'd highly recommend him and would use castle plumbing again.

I asked for an estimate to move my washer and dryer approximately five feet from where it is currently located in my garage. The bid included: ""Installing new copper water lines and shut off valves, installing new 1/2"" gas line and shut off valve for dryer, installing new exhaust vent for dryer."" Originally I had asked him to move a sink. I asked that part be removed when I saw his bid. He indicated that taking the sink out of the equation would not make much of a difference in the final cost.
When Kelly came over I explained to him ALL of the future work I wanted to have done in my home, including renovating one bathroom and adding a completely new bathroom. That was MY mistake. I think he somehow got the message that I was a stupid old woman who has a lot of money and he was more than ready to take advantage. What he didn't know was that I was a General Contractor in New Jersey and therefore know the scope and approximate costs of repairs and renovations. The water lines that needed to be added were existing and were on the OUTSIDE OF THE WALLS. The gas line and the shut off was existing and there was no need for a new one to be installed And even if a new one was necessary, a new dryer installation kit is $30.00. The hole for the dryer vent was already in place.
The MOST this job should have been (without the sink) was $1,000 ... It was a HALF DAY JOB (even with the sink)!!! $3,500????? BEWARE PEOPLE. He may be a competent plumber, but he's also a SHARK WHO CAN SWIM IN YOUR TOILET!!!
Oh, and his bid also included a ""10% DISCOUNT.""

My compliments to Kelly at Castle Plumbing! He has been to my house in Ontario for more that five different repair and new installation projects and has been excellent in every aspect each time. From a new Water Heater and copper pipes to an earthquake gas shut off valve and sewer repairs, Castle Plumbing has been flawless! Major Kudos and the prices are always honest and reasonable! Everything is explained in detail, no surprises.

Kelly at Castle Plumbing impressed me from our first phone conversation. I was having an issue with plumbing, but didn't really know how to go about it. Kelly said he would need to come over and give me an estimate. Once he arrived he and talked about what I could expect. Rather than being dishonest to get the job, he told me that he would not recommend what I requested unless it was absolute necessary. He came out to my condo and gave me the estimate for free. Some companies charge a $99 fee just to come to your home, but not Castle Plumbing. I will be using them should I have any other plumbing requests or needs.
