Michele J.As you can see we've had MANY issues with our AC unit. We built a brand new house and had the misfortune of having Casa Mechanical install our AC unit. We attempted to call tonight and have them come out to fix our unit but they apparently don't do emergency calls for "units that aren't under warranty anymore". Cool thanks for installing a crappy unit and then denying us assistance in the middle of the hottest part of the year when our unit isn't working. One look at the reviews is all you need to know about Casa Mechanical. Avoid at all costs.
Zach D.Had a tankless water heater replaced on 2/25/21 after Austin's snowmaggedon burst the heat exchanger tubes, as well as my hot and cold intake pipes. Scheduled service on 2/22 with Joe P., who was incredibly helpful and professional to get his team out to help my family. Their technicians Josh and Joe K. made quick work of replacing the unit and pipes, completing everything from start to finish in less than 1.25 hrs. Great people, great service, and great price! Highly recommend CASA!
Had an issue with the hot water heater, I was thinking thermocouple since the pilot wouldn't stay lit. Contacted Casa and they had Justin out the same day. He diagnosed the issue and it ended up being the controller. He called in to parts and they had to have the part sent over. The part came in and Justin was back at the house before the close of business to make the repair. He was very personable and professional, thanks to all the folks at Casa.
AC and heat seemed to go out, and with the freezing weather blowing in I began to panic and emailed for a service. The response was quick and I was scheduled for a service the day after contacting! I had the pleasure of working with David who was insanely nice and respectful. I will be requesting him if possible if any other service is needed. He fixed my unit super fast and overall just made the experience working with casa phenomenal.
Jessica D.UPDATE on 11/20: I've included response time information for CASA below.
CASA Mechnical sent out Tony to my home to review the issue. They scheduled the call for the same day and Tony was able to diagnose the issue in under 1 hour. He was very knowledgeable and provided us with a thorough report on what had failed in our system.
Apparently, a capacitor had failed. He fixed the issue and had our air back up and running within the hour.
I asked Tony on whether we should consider an extended home warranty for our air conditioning unit given this was the second time in two years it had failed to cool. He reported back some good advice on different warranty companies, but also informed us that these failures were quite common in units nowadays.
This is obviously disheartening to hear - that when you buy something you can't expect it to last. Nevertheless, I am hopeful our system is fixed for good. But I'm also quite risk-averse and investigating extended warranties for our unit. I'm not prepared to shell out $1,900-$2,500 for a new unit when $300/year is a small price to pay for peace of mind.
My overall assessment of CASA is as follows:
- Tanya, the customer service representative I first spoke to needs training. She was not empathetic or apologetic that I was experiencing a failure of my system. She was quite robotic and cold. I started off by saying, "My air conditioning unit is not workin----" and her direct response was, "Address, please." I get it that we're all rushed in today's modern world, but a little bit of empathy and kindness can go a long way.
- Tom Tarlan the service manager was difficult to reach initially, but very professional and kind of the phone. He was far more empathetic and willing to help.
- Tony, our service repairman, was very knowledgeable. He was very empathetic. He was very matter of fact and honest. I appreciated his help.
I've updated my post to reflect my thoughts and give what I believe to be a fair and honest review of my experience.

I love when I get great service from a company that does things right the first time and/or fixes their mistakes. Unfortunately, Casa Mechanical Services is NOT that company.
In 2016, Casa installed my AC unit in my brand new home.
In 2018, the unit stopped working due to a leak of refrigerant. Repairman could not find leak but offered to refill my refrigerant on my 2-year-old AC unit. (Refrigerant typically only needs to be refilled once every 10 years).
I insisted that wasn't a repair. Repairman said they would need to tear down the wall of my house. I said this was fine, because then I would know it was fixed. Repairman tried to persuade me this would be very invasive and lot of work.
I said, "If you're going to fix it, then fix it right." Unfortunately, this didn't occur.
Instead, repairman assured me he had "suddenly" found the leak and had repaired it. He assured me I should have no further issues.
He we are in 2020. My AC unit is no longer cooling and is now no longer under warranty.
I am left with no other option than to file a complaint with the State Licensing Agency for misrepresentation of services.
So, unless you want to be in my shoes, avoid this company and their services.
After 7 years of service we were suddenly informed on the morning we are supposed to have an appointment with Casa mechanical that they will no longer be serviced in the unit at our address because the system was installed by somebody else. This makes no sense to me because the system they service prior to the installation was also installed by somebody else. I am also upset that this appointment was made with a month lead time and I am contacted only a couple of hours before our appointment is supposed to happen to tell me not only is it canceled but they're never coming back. I hired a house sitter to come meet Casa today that money has already been paid we are out of town and a family emergency. This is not how we do business this is unacceptable and my recommendation to anyone looking for an HVAC service is to look elsewhere so that you don't receive a nasty surprise like this. This is extremely unprofessional and disappointing.
I have a service contract with Casa Mechanical for my home units and my office units. Today the service tech did not wear a mask. With over one million cases of Covid in Texas he put my family and everyone at work in danger. He also broke the law that the governor imposed requiring the wearing of masks in work places.
bob m.These guys have the most chaotic system, dispatch, service, training, customerservice support. They installed our AC/Heater with the homebuilders 3 yrs ago. From the onset its been fubar from day one. Moved in AC didn't work. The fuse wasn't installed and turned on/checked properly. Every year for spring/fall maintenance its a hassle setting up a schedule. If its a gated community and they can't get in they say they tried, called you and then leave without word to reschedule. Your never notified when they are actually trying to get in so your left with their schedule time of 5 hour window to sit and wait all day. Finally I call to see what happened only to be told sorry you have to reschedule which of course is another department. And when you speak yo someone it seems like your bothering them. Well this happened too many times. Yesterday was the last I'll every waste our time with these guys. No show because they couldn't get in or reach/call my cell when they are there, which is BS since I sat here all day with charged phone at home taking off of work. Then very next day I see their van/technician servicing right next door, unbelievable. Every technician is trained and taught differently because every one the last 3 years has different ways of working your system properly.
I am very disappointed and unhappy with CASA. I had a lightning strike hit my house and it affected my heat/AC system. I asked CASA to look at it and they said I needed a complete system replacement ($4,500). My insurance company had an independent inspector look at it and determined that the only thing wrong was the Defrost Control Board - total cost less than $500. I didn't receive a satisfactory explanation for why they said my entire system was bad and have never received a call back from their service manager.
My just built home Hvac was done by Casa.. and I am extremely disappointed! First cold spell last year my heat did not come on, after the service man came, he confessed that the fan CUT THE WIRING!!! So he just taped it up, and it started back up. Now today, when it's 43 degrees, heat not working again... so I call, the service rep was extremely derisive and would not even try to get someone out today...I am a school teacher and essential worker, and can not take off, so she says soonest she has is Thursday , and could not put me for after 4... and no weekends! There was no effort, did not try and call a tech in my area to even see if it was possible. So non honoring of warranty, no possible flex or effort put into getting my heat on after their unit has history of issues, and workmanship that resulted in documentation of cut electrical wires.. And if I wanted service call it's 88 dollars for the first 15 minutes?!?! And 22$ every additional 15 minutes?!?! Seriously?!?! Beware!
