As many others have already said; I purchased a product there at the clerk's recommendation, but when I got it home it was not as they had described. Tried to exchange it the next day and they would not allow it even though it was unused. Never experienced such bad customer service anywhere! They take no responsibility and are very rude!

Very unhelpful and impersonal staff. I needed to unscrew something to see if a door knob would fit or not and they refused to offer a screwdriver for that simple task. They could use a course in customer service.

So this place ignores its own posted refund policy. Looks like a common practice here, seeing the prior reviews. Went here for a pipe replacement for my handyman to fix a leaky sink. Showed a picture to the unhelpful employee who just said downstairs, aisle 4 -- I found a piece, but then my handyman says it's the wrong one (I needed the pipe with ridges for joining at the end). 30 minutes later, I go back and ask to exchange it, he says fine, but I can't find the right part. I ask the employee if he they have it -- he says, I know what you want (frankly I doubt that he did), I don't have it. So I ask to return it (totally new, in the original wrapper) but he says no returns for plumbing part. The posted refund policy lists categories of items not returnable / exchangeable -- plumbing / pipes parts are nowhere on the list, or remotely in any of the excluded categories; everything else is returnable / exchangeable in 7 days. I said you just sold this to me -- he says ""I didn't hand it to you, did I?"" and ""look at the bottom [of the policy], you didn't ask me"". The bottom of the policy says ""ask for details"". more

This is aside from the high prices. My handyman was also rather surprised that they didn't have the basic pipe joint extension. Just go down the street to 102nd to the hardware with 2 full higher stars. I went to this pace bc the handyman said its the only place open on Sunday, but that turns out to be wrong. Go to 102nd.

Don't understand the bad reviews. I never had a problem with this place. Sure it's not Home Depot with better pricing and availability but they usually have what I need. A star off for inventory but this is usually my local go to place since I live 2 block away.

I tried this place once before and had a very bad experience... But I figure everyone has a bad day so I went back today. I immediately regretted it. It was not a fluke. Extremely rude to the point of hostile.
There is another hardware store three blocks south that is polite and professional. Go there.

If only 0 stars were an option. Extremely RUDE employees. They have no idea what customer service is and when you have questions the bare minimum of an answer MAY be given. Walk down a couple blocks to The Upper Westside Hardware.

Quick, kind, and clean. This is the place to go when your keys need duplication, or just to browse around while you're waiting to get your pizza from Mama's next door. Casa all the way.

A variety of items. You can literally find everything you need in here. The Spanish guys that work here are beyond helpful and kind. It comes in handy because it's a few blocks away from home.
