Will not hire them again. Over priced. Charged for a quote and charged for part of quoted work that they could not complete.
Extremely professional, clean, efficient service. Had a refrigerator ice/water installed. Needed to connect to waterline. Would highly recommend.
Edmund M.Our company's main water heater needed repkacement. Carter's Plumbing was able to dispatch a technician immediately. He gave us an estimate and the work was conpleted the next day.
TWO THUMBS UP FOR MARCUS AND CARTER'S PLUMBING!
This is the worst plumbing company you could ever hire. The owner is a scam artist and their employee Eric doesn't have a clue what he is doing. Came out to repair a backed up kitchen sink. Eric identified the problem as a sagging PVC pipe in the basement. He told me I have to bracket up the pipe and he will snake it. After giving me a quote of $500 to snake the drain and install a new plastic trap under my sink, I sent this joker on his way. He must have thought I had sucker written all over my forehead. He admitted his boss Matt is price gouging because of the corona virus and claimed they are the only plumbers currently working. I had another plumber out the next day who performed the correct repair by cutting in a new piece of PVC drain. The pipe couldn't even be re bracketed as Eric instructed me to do. The new plumber also replaced my trap and charged me $250. I will be reporting this company to the attorney general and obviously will be making a bbb complaint. People like this need to be stopped. I can't imagine how many elderly people this company has ripped off. This company needs to be shut down by the state. I will be making every effort to make that happen. You tried ripping off the wrong one Carter plumbing.
They give you higher end price and if work is not performed, you receive an invoice of 100 usd. They didn't even check the shut off valve location and tried not to do actual jobs.
They touched the water valve and left leaking condition, so I needed call back for repairing it.
Nice guys but they don't know what they are doing. Have to keep on paying for services that were not done correctly to begin with. I would never recommend them.
Matt knew immediately what was wrong when we had water in our basement. It was fixed quickly and he did a great job cleaning up. I think their prices are a bit high, but with the lack of good trades people, I'd rather pay more for a quality job. It's like the old joke about the plumber fixing someone's pipe by banging on it with his wrench. Charged $510. ""$510 to bang on a pipe?"" the customer yelled. ""No,"" replied the plumber, ""$10 to bang on the pipe, $500 to know where.""
My mother, who is in her late 80s, had trouble with her garbage disposal. She had a plumber in mind but I talked her into trying Carter's since I saw their truck parked down the street often and figured they lived there. I wanted to support the local business. Carter's came while I wasn't there. There was nothing actually wrong with the garbage disposal. All it needed was to be reset, which they easily did by pressing a reset button we were unaware of. Then, the Carter's guy took a couple ice cubes, dropped them into the disposal and ran it. He told my mom that would clean it, then charged her $110. I understand that plumbers charge for visits, however there is something to be said for good customer service. I wanted to support a local company. I would have expected that local company to maybe cut the fee down or not charge at all considering they were at my 86 year old mother's house for about 2 minutes. AND they only had to travel about 3 blocks to get to her house. In my opinion, they took advantage of her age and charged her $110 to push the reset button grind up some ice cubes. When I called them to complain, first they tried to justify the cost by telling me they ""cleaned"" the garbage disposal. I assume he thought my mother was too old to comprehend what he did during his visit. When I called them out by saying ""All you did was throw a few ice cubes down the sink!"" he offered to refund the money. He confirmed my mothers address and NEVER sent the refund... I honestly have no idea how skillful Carter's is with plumbing. After reading this, if you think charging an 86 year old woman $110 for driving 3 blocks, pressing reset and grinding up some ice cubes was justified, go for it... I still feel bad for talking her into using Carter's.
Very friendly and efficient service, reasonable prices. Called on Friday about a clogged main line. They offered to send someone same day. Eric showed up, was very friendly and professional, explained the cost up front, quickly fixed my issue, and sent me on my day. I would recommend this company to others and use them again.
I had an emergency the day before Thanksgiving! I tried calling multiple plumbers, Matt was the only one to call me back. He showed up within a half hour and was done 45 minutes later. Great service! Cleaned up after themselves too!
