What a great company to work with. Very nice owner and a great team that work for him. I would highly recommend this company. They are reliable and efficient. Great Job
Two Stars for getting the job done, but after giving me the price for diagnosing the issue, the plumper tried to add another $200.00 dollars charge to continue to diagnose the issue, lets face it thats poor business practice. So i would have been in for $600.00 and the issue wasn't even found yet??? Not good Carters. The plumber knocked the $200.00 up charge off, but only because he knew he was going to lose the cost to fix. Which he knew was going to be easy, once he found the issue and tack on another $400 +. To all plumbing companies this is why home owners don't call you. You actually lose money by doing poor business practices. As shady as a used car salesman.
We hired them for, among other things, to install a laundry room faucet and drain, plus, some other minor repairs. Plumber installed faucet and hooked up drain, but left it over six inches away from wall. When wife complained, plumber lied to her that I had said I didn't want the sink against the wall. Tried to address the problem, and now Carter's Plumbing wants an additional $2,300+ plus to move the sink against the wall! Do not trust these people. Plus, they stupidly over charge.
Getting disposal put in tomorrow. So far the tech was great for inspection and quote and their receptionist has been very informative and
They fixed toilets and faucet in the kitchen. I bought the faucet myself as carters was charging more. They did install the faucet and the faucet is now wobbly after 3 months of use and they don't come over fix faulty installation. And they charge for just coming over for inspection. I did call you guys today afternoon and they said faulty installation services cannot be fixed and it should be a new appointment.
I also spoke to Delta faucet company and one of the part was fixed wrong and that's the reason being wobbly and also because of faulty installation one of the part came apart.

Waited days for my appointment, when they showed up the old bait and switch. Told me had other appointments and could not do any work for me but gave an estimate and charged me almost $90. for nothing Sent them on their way.
Fritz T.I recommend Carter's Plumbing to anyone and everyone. Michael is the epitome of professionalism. He was transparent about pricing and the various options for each part of the process. They were able to replace my entire plumbing system in one day and at a reasonable price. I trust Michael and all of Carter's Plumbing employees with all my plumbing needs. Honest, quick, courteous, clean.
Stay away. They will try to get you to sign something on a tablet, without giving you any indication of cost of labor or materials. If it was possible to give them negative stars, I would.
I just got ripped off by Carter Plumbing. They wanted to sell me a whole new hot water tank even when I sent photos of the issue before the service call. Stay away! Noel the manager has a poor attitude toward customers. . The customer is never right with Carter Plumbing.
I used Carter's Plumbing of Bloomfield Hills for a weekend drain unclogging this weekend. I feel as though I was overcharged and nickle & dimed a lot....you be the judge.
I called on a Saturday and a nice woman informed me of the $99 dollar upcharge for emergency service (weekends). I said ""that's fine"" and expected some type of overtime fee. A gentleman showed up a few hours later to unclog my kitchen drain. I asked that he wear a mask, afterwhich he did. After informing me of all the fees he checked everything out and decided that the drain needed to be snaked, and informed me that it would be $278.93 to snake it. WOW! That seems pretty expensive for that minor operations, but, Ok, at this point I'm commited, so he snaked the line. It drained better but not quite clear, so he suggested he snake it a second time (which seemed like common sense to me). Oh, it will be $180.75 for the additional attempt. Huh? So now I'm a bit pissed, thinking, didn't I just pay for snaking the line to get it cleared? Apparently not, and even though the device is sitting there it is now evident that I'm going to have to pay every time he failed to get it cleared and has to try again. The second attempt succeeded and he made some suggestions for the future.
If I wasn't immediately shocked by the $278 to snake the line the first time (20 minutes or so) the second charge of $180 really bowled me over. First, it seems to me that if you fail at the task the first time, you try again until it works or that wasn't the proper method. So, two snakes of my line and approximately 1 hour's work was $558 (call it $448 without the weekend fee which I consider fair). I consider that pretty high priced to begin with and nickle and diming for the second attempt.
I feel I was overcharged by $180 and that the second snaking should have been included since the first one failed.
