Wasted way too much time and money working with Carter Services (Jake) to repair a 5 year old Whirlpool washer. After 3 visits over the course of a month, I ended up buying a new washer because Carter could not figure it out and Whirlpool didn't have the ultimate parts (computer-related parts) that I think Jake from Carter was just guessing at needing.
Ended up buying a new Speed Queen and upon delivery the serviceman removed the intake hose and showed me that it was clogged and likely the issue with setting off the computer generated error codes. Carter's parts people, office admin were supportive but without an experienced repair person diagnosing the issues, it's a total waste of time and money!

Came on time but they nickel and dime you and didn't make it clear that the price quoted was just for a visit and diagnosis. Work done was then an additional fee. Asking them to take a quick look at another appliance was going to be another fee on top of that. I feel like I shouldn't have three separate charges for labor only when the total time spent at my home is less than an hour. Additionally, they had to come out twice as the issue with my refridge wasn't solved the first time.

Be careful who you trust these days.There are a lot of dishonest people out there and I met one just recently.I thought I should warn everyone about this company. Just last week my housekeeper notified me that the washing machine was not working so I called the people at Carter Services and they were there promptly.The technician told me that he needed to order a part that was broken and asked for a deposit.When my roommate came home from work,he read the invoice,opened the washer lid,flipped a little plastic clip and the washing machine works fine. Oh,and by the way ,he sells real estate

I'd like to give a good review but it's just not possible. This has nothing to do with the service techs, it has to be about the owners. The prices are simply exorbitant; the word that comes up from some contractors I've worked with is ""extortionists"". When that changes I'd revisit.

Carter Services is the best organized plumber service I've ever had, and they sent me the best ever plumber I've ever used, Rodger Ponsonby. Rodger suggested I send picture of my various plumbing problems and then he did the research on parts I would need. When he came to work, he was prepared to actually get the work done rather than make an assessment and come back 2 weeks later. So efficient, and experienced. The level of competence was superior. I felt the price was fair and commensurate with the time he spent and will use them again on another problem issue. I highly recommend Carter Services; they provide end to end professional service!

I will call Carter Services again. My freezer was acting odd and Scott came out and really checked it out. He explained some things to me that I could watch out for and he cleaned out the filter and the draining tray. He gave it a comprehensive check up and told me where it was maybe a little odd, but not worth fixing. Overall, it was a good experience and I will call them for other appliance and plumbing needs.

Technician was not thorough and overlooked the problem that I fixed (and wanted to charge me over $230 to put in an ice maker that I was told is a few screws). He also got an attitude with me which I felt was out of line.

Workers appear to benefit from how much they can charge you for anything...maybe they have a commission incentive. After a few different visits over the last few months, some charge more, some less, no consistency. No more...avoid this company....other 1 star reviews with this same issue, and the company never responds. Not a good way to do business.
