THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

Tub was leaking and our landlord scheduled Carson Plumber to come out and investigate the leak on a Wednesday. Marc showed up with an intern that was training and immediately said the part he needed would need to be ordered and he would return the next day. Ughh, the wait continues.

Marc shows up an hour late on Thursday and after replacing the magical part he needed to order (which was rubber washers that you can buy at ace hardware for $1.00), that I already replaced myself, he tells me this didn't fix the problem and now he needs to replace the ""seat"" and ""stem"" on the handles.

I asked Marc why he didn't realize this during his initial investigation on Wednesday and his exact response was, ""it was dark and I was in a rush...I thought the washers looked new!"" :-(

I explained to Marc that I have a job and I can't continue to have my time wasted, my patience with him is already wearing thin. He asked what time worked best for me the following day to return and I replied, ""I need to be first on your list, I can ONLY DO MORNING"". He nods and says OK!

Fast forward to FRIDAY morning (9AM)...
I call Marc to see what time I should expect him this morning and he responds with several questions to clarify which customer I am as if we didn't exchange 10-15 text messages and phone calls over the last 2 days! ""Oh yes, the leaky tub...I'll be there about 4:30PM, I have several appointments this morning and still need to go to the store"".

ME: ""Marc, this doesn't work for me. I told you I needed to be first on your list and that I am only available this morning, I have a job too.""

Marc then proceeds to call me a liar and tells me that I clearly told him I'm available all day/any time and he could just give me a 30 minute notice. (never happened)

I immediately ask for his Supervisors name and he responds with, ""his name is Marc"". (Sure it is)

ME: ""Ok...what is Marc's last name?""

MARC: ""I'm not going to give you his last name, his social security number or his drivers license...so stop asking!""

ME: Ok...Mother F'er! I'm done with you, do not show up here later today, you are fired. How do you still have a job, your customer service skills are ridiculous and the fact that you are training someone else is beyond me. How about a f***ing apology and taking some ownership for your wrongdoing?? Silence.... (so I hang up)

Do not use this plumbing company. Save yourself a headache and choose another company. Here are a few reasons why I will never use this company again. Mark or Marvin (not sure what his real name is as he called himself both names) charged me for parts not needed to fix a hot water heater and then demanded I pay in cash before starting the job. He also "" evaluated"" our damaged hot water heater at night, with no lights, in seconds and then proceeded to say we had so much damage we need to pay for (this turned out to not be true later on). Not only was he unprofessional in his estimate, he didn't use proper tools or spend much time to deduce such an estimate. We only proceeded with this company carefully because it was the day before Christmas and no other company would take the job this late in the season. I have been a homeowner for over 20 years and have dealt with many plumbers. This is the first time I have meet such an unprofessional and unequipped plumber.

On Sunday September 9, 2018 my toilet was leaking and I called my homeowners insurace. They did not have emergency weekend coverage so I would have had to wait until at least Monday. I was having a medical procedure and couldn't wait until then to get this issue resolved. I went to Yelp and researched plumbers. I then called Carson Plumbing and Brandon was out here within a few hours and quickly fixed my issue. He cleaned everything up, there was no mess left. I am currently having a similar issue with weekend coverage with a busted pipe and I am going to call him since he did such a good job last time and I trust he will again. Mark came out to fix a broken pipe in my wall. He and his team were able to quickly find and repair the section of pipe in question. I would definitely use this plumber again.

It pains me to say this, because I kept giving Mark another chance hoping he'd prove himself, but he simply lacks the knowledge to be an effective plumber. Plus, he is dishonest and will continue to charge you money, even if it's his fault. He tried fixing a leak in our kitchen sink, charging us $250, it was still leaking and he realized the leak was in a different place than he originally thought. Instead of admitting it was his fault and standing by his work he charged us another fee and ""fixed"" the leak. A few weeks later, the sink was leaking again. Even worse, he broke our air gap while he was under our sink and then lied and said it was already broken. He said he would fix it for us for $60 even though it was his fault to begin with! DO NOT work with this company, you will regret it.

Called our home warranty to fix a leak.

Mark from Carson Plumbing was scheduled to inspect the issue. Mark came within the allotted time and was very professional, He figured out what the problem was and fixed the leak. Not only did he fix the leak, which came from the toilet, but he also went above and beyond by replacing the toilet flap and putting an extra wax ring to make sure the leak doesn't happen again.

I highly recommend Carson Plumbing for your plumbing needs. I will use him again, even if it's not through our warranty company.

Company is a fraud. Marc showed up and charged a service fee telling me one thing for water heater and then tried to charge another service fee to come back and give me an estimate...for the exact same water heater. When I confronted him, he changed his story once again to try and make it fit for the home warranty guidelines. When I confronted him on it, he got scared and hung up. This is a scam. Get everything in writing from company if you're forced to do business with it, take pictures of him and the arrival time and keep voicemails. I'm starting an investigation for a class action lawsuit against his company and warranty and will be reporting his company.

You see a lot of 1 star and 5 star reviews for Carson Plumbing, and I think both are correct

One star reviews are because of a lack of responsiveness - many people set up appointments through their home warranty company, and no one showed up. I also set up an appointment through my home warranty company to fix a leak, and no one showed up the first day.

Having then gone and read the reviews on yelp, I called up the next day and confirmed several times to ensure that someone would show up that same day. Mark came by our house and he was extremely nice and went the extra mile to help identify and fix the issue - I think the 5 star reviews were accurate for when the plumber showed up.

So if you have Carson plumbing assigned from your home warranty company, I would call several times that day, up to the appointment time, to ensure they do show up. When they do, I think you will be pleased with the service.

On Sunday our kitchen sink got clogged. On Monday morning I called my home warranty to make the claim. Their automated system assigned Carson Plumbing. I never heard from them and then when I tried to call them after the 24 hour response window had passed, with the phone number First American gave me, a voice mail answered that didn't even say who they were and not only that, but the VM box was full and could not take any messages. I lost a whole day by thinking the ""system"" of the warranty company would work and that the company would call me. If they don't wan't to do work for the warranty company then, cancel your contract with them. If you don't have any openings at least call so the customer knows to get someone else. Simply not responding is the extremely unprofessional and rude!

Carson Plumbing deserves NO stars! Horrible company! The are unprofessional and unreliable. This company did not follow up on their service call to my house for 2 weeks. They do not return phone calls or text messages. In my opinion this company should not be used for your plumbing needs. In my opinion Carson Plumbing is the worst plumbing company ever!
