We had a 1/2 horsepower sump pump that came with a 3 year old home. It burned out and we replaced it with a 1 horsepower pump by this company. It cost $1900. Then 9 months later the 1 horsepower pump burned out when they are supposed to last 10 + years. Replaced this pump with another. First rate determined the underground issue and fixed issue. Smell of sewage in house a few weeks later. They installed this the 3rd pump (another $1900 later) so that the float was hitting a pipe and not cycling correctly. If they had determined the cause of the misplumbing issue the first time they were out, it could have saved the second pump cost! Ugh! Not impressed.

This company was wonderful! They were prompt and professional. The tech that came to figure out what was going on wore a mask and covered his shoes every time he went outside and was going to walk back into my house. He was thorough and figured out what was causing the problem. Their prices are completely fair and reasonable. I cannot explain how great this company was and how please I am with their service. I have decided to sign up for their yearly maintenance program because that is also so reasonably priced!

Daniel and Ben arrived on time after calling to reassure us they were coming. One was dealing with our a/c problem - no cooling. That was well, and speedily handled, while the other worked on gas situation. Both were masked and in uniform. They both did their work efficiently and explained what they had done. We have used First Rate for several problems now and they consistently do a great job at a reasonable price. It's reassuring to have a company to rely on.

What a great experience at First Rate plumbing! I have a brand new stacking washer and dryer but unfortunately a very old cast iron drain pipe from 1958 that was too narrow to accommodate the fast draining water resulting in a small flood after the first use of the washer..ugh! I called one place that was going to charge me $150 just to take a look..yikes! Thank goodness I found great reviews for First Rate and gave them a call. $75 with no hidden surprise costs. The polite and friendly plumber Brad even went above and beyond the call of duty trying to fix the issue by getting into the crawlspace full of cobwebs and dirt, poor guy..it was even after 5 o'clock quitting time and he didn't complain or charge extra. After assessing the problem he found it necessary to replace 10 ft of pipe under the house which he accomplished just a couple of days later in only 2 1/2 hours by himself. I was impressed by the cost, his politeness and professionalism and the fact that he tested the washing machine twice to make sure all was flowing smoothly. Was very conscientious about social distancing and face mask wearing also. Oh, he also cut and plugged an unnecessary water softener pipe free of charge! This company will definitely be my go-to plumber in the future..two thumbs up!

Our furnace stopped blowing hot air in winter and my simple Google troubleshooting wasn't enough so called these guys after seeing reviews and word of mouth. I messaged them through their website over the weekend and they were able to send someone out same day Monday after calling me in the morning. Sean ended up being my service man and was great as far as service, explaining how things work and what he was doing. He helped save some money and further needed repairs on parts that were on their way out to complete at once.

The only reason why I didn't give 5 stars is the pricing on parts I found overpriced. I ended up replacing 3 parts and each was charged $95-120. After looking them up online I could have gotten them at a fraction of those costs.

We called for service on a clogged bathroom drain. They were able to send a technician out right away. Brad was able to quickly diagnose the problem (roots) and he was able to resolve the blockage in a just a few minutes. He was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. He even helped educate us on how to prevent this in the future. Cost was reasonable for work performed. We were very pleased with the service and would highly recommend.

All I can say is wow.

This is not your service company from the past. I had a leaky faucet in my tub and Brad came out to fix it . He was very professional, kept me up to speed every step of the way. He even put on shoe covers before ever stepping foot into my home which I thought was a special touch .

I highly recommend these guys and I will use them again in the future
