toilet leaking. told us he could not replace the seal because another would leak eventually (of course it will- it's a 25 year old toilet). Quoted $600-1000 for a new toilet! A new toilet is about $100 at Home depot. we're in a fixed income and couldn't afford it.
found a retired plumber who replaced the seals and wax ring for under $100.
now works great
It's not nice to rip off the old folks.

I like the idea of calling one place for my house needs, especially since the house is 40 years old now!!!
Had toilet issue recent and needed upgrades on my old old water pipes. Kevin and George were Great. Did Great jobs and suggestions to keep my house up to code so I can sleep at night especially when we have those 7 degree F nights!! Also suggestions on how to save money and prevent problems!

Our J-joint pipe broke apart. Called Carney as they were named as one of the Best Pick Reports Magazine of Montgomery County 7th Annual Spring Edition of 2022 sent to our house. Plumber arrived, put it back together, used same pipe and was here for 30 minutes, charged us $325 and left. Lasted a few days and started to leak again. Called again and they sent a different plumber out and used the same parts and it happened again. I found another plumber because after two visits I had no confidence in them. This plumber replaced everything and it was fine. Although Carney states that they offer a warranty, they do not honor it!

Plain and simple, these guys tried to charge my elderly mother $385.00 for installing a $7.00 capacitor. For those who do not know what a capacitor is, I'll just say it takes less than 10 minutes to replace.

The worst! Find any other contractor. The repairman fixed something that wasn't broken and charged more than double than another company for lesser work and poorer service. Avoid at all costs. Surprised they could run a business this way.

We hired Carney upon a personal recommendation to help with our water heaters and overall heating and plumbing in our new home. I am surprised by the other ratings, as the service from start to finish in our experience was outstanding. We are newer home owners with lots of questions and concerns, and Carney took care of all of our needs.

We had a full walk through for the estimate which was thorough and easy to understand. They even came back out after the job was complete to check back on an issue we noticed the next day without charge. They made additional recommendations and were not pushy or salesman-like in any way.

I would highly recommend them and will trust them for our needs going forward!

Do not use this company. Water was coming out from under toilet when flushed flooding the floor(wax seal) . In a panic Carney Plumbing was called. Man came and before he even checked it, he said the drain must be clogged. He started to loosen toilet from floor, then went to call the office for an estimate. Came back in and said it would be $1045. to snake the line and repair the seal leak at the floor!!! $1045.00!!! In a panic, not knowing who else to call, she said OK. Then he said he couldn't do it because he didn't have the right tools. He said someone else would be there soon to take care of it. The office called back and said they could come in the morning. They snaked the soil pipe from yard to house and fixed the leak in about 1 hour. They then said they could give her a discount of $200 since they could snake it from the yard. 1 hour work=$800.00.(maybe $20.00 in parts) We need to report them to the BBB. That is straight up robbery!!! Taking advantage of an 83 year old woman too! I will never use them or recommend them for any service!

I have used Carney's in the past for heating and plumbing. I can corroborate the many negative reviews on this site. The last time I used them the prices quoted for simple plumbing services were so high, my gut reaction was to grab a shotgun and chase the technician off my property, as I was literally about to be robbed.
