The work was competent if overpriced. The snag was in trying to get a W-9 from this guy when the work was done. There's something sketchy about a business that doesn't want to receive a 1099. I can't work with a company I don't trust on such a fundamental level. 1 star.

About 4 years ago, we needed to find a new ""first call"" local plumber for our household issues. Luckily for us, we called Carmel Valley Plumbing and met Jeff. Since then, we have called him at least 6 times for a variety of issues. We could not be happier with the timeliness and quality of his work. At this point, we would not call anyone else. We have complete confidence in his comprehensive work, diligence, and fairness. He has our confidence and loyalty. Thank you Jeff!

Had a leak and called them in. Overall experience- customer service lacking, overpriced, and work was average at best. A few items were replaced and about a year later we have experienced similar issues (fitting/seal). Will be calling a different plumbing company in the future. Also recommend all read the 3 star and less reviews for more observations similar to ours

Jeff has done a couple of jobs at our house and did an excellent job both times. I am one to usually get a couple quotes on all projects. Jeff has stood out with how straightforward and fair he has been with identifying the issues and not trying to upsell unnecessary solutions. The work is done well and completed quickly. It's nice to have a reliable plumbing solution in the area when things pop up.

Had a sudden shower leak in an upstairs bathroom on a Sunday night. Water flooded our kitchen through the ceiling .I called Carmel Valley Plumbing and spoke with Jeff Monday morning. Jeff came out immediately that morning, identified the leak and initiated repairs.

Knowing we would have to file a claim with our homeowners insurance because of the moisture damage on both floors, Jeff then began to perform mitigation of the wet drywall in the bathroom and our downstairs kitchen. He was very efficient and took all the necessary photos and wrote up his report for submission to our insurance company to open a claim for reimbursement.

Within about four hours everything was sealed off and dryers were in place for the next 72 hours. The entire time Jeff was in constant contact with myself and my wife Guiding us through the steps we needed to file our claim. He also worked with our insurance company adjuster. We were able to get 100% of our cost for repairs covered because of his effectiveness getting the proper documentation to our insurer.

Without hesitation if I ever need any kind of plumbing work in the future, CARMEL Valley Plumbing is on my speed dial. I cannot recommend them enough. Honest, excellent service skills, straight shooter, very fair pricing. I had used Carmel Valley Plumbing once before in the past regarding a drop in water pressure to my house. A service rep from ASI Heating and Plumbing told me I had to cut a mainline and replace a shut-off and a pressure regulator valve. The estimate was almost $1500!. On a recommendation of a neighbor, I called CVP and Jeff came to my house. In 15 minutes he did an inspection of the lines and valves. Explain to me his in process the entire time. Jeff then went outside to the side of the house and turned open a water valve.....lo and behold my water pressure was back to normal again. Apparently our gardener or someone must have partially closed the valve. He saved me from a very expensive and unnecessary repair! More important to note is that Jeff did not charge me anything for his 15 minutes of time and his service call. That's the type of company Carmel Valley Plumbing is. High integrity and very fair. Later on I learned how many of my neighbors have used Carmel Valley Plumbing at their homes. All with the same positive results. In my opinion, you are taking your chances using anyone else

Prompt, honest, and knowledgeable. Jeff was terrific. He diagnosed our water heater problem quickly, got the heater working, and told us what alternatives would be available and what they would cost if the problem recurred. Outstanding service.

Called Jeff after our water heater starting leaking and he came out same day and brought the other people we needed to get things fixed, including the people to dry out the water and repair the walls. He set up a new water heater in a temporary spot so we would have hot water while everything was dried and fixed, which was great since this was all happening a few days before Christmas.

I had a leak and I called carmel valley plumbing, Jeff was helpful on the initial phone call and helped me understand where the problem was coming from. I was able to correct the leak myself, but since I told him there was water that had leaked to my garage, he said it was needed for him to come and take a look, which is still understandable. He did not quote me for any price, which is somewhat my fault, I should have asked him beforehand.
He showed up the next day, took a couple of measurements to assess the water damage. For 5 minutes of just looking and taking the measurements he charged me $140. He was pushy to make an appointment with his contractor to fix the water damage, to the point that he called them on the spot and was trying to make me make an appointment with them right then and there. I told him that I will contact a contractor on my own and I appreciate the help.
From that day on, I am getting at least one phone call a day, from different contractors, asking about the water damage!!!!
This guy has gone out there and has shared my information with a bunch of his contractor friends and now they are calling me everyday!!!
Very unprofessional and would not recommend him!
He might be very knowledgeable with quick response times, but he is definitely unprofessional and overcharges you for what he does.
