When we returned from a long trip, we were greeted by two toilet leaks and a shower valve that wouldn't deliver hot water. We wanted to be sure we called an experienced plumber to deal with the shower valve so we used Yelp to find Carmel Valley Plumbing. We were willing to wait a few days on the repairs in order to get the right plumber for the job. Jeff returned our call over the weekend and came out on Monday. He fixed the toilets quickly, replacing the appropriate parts - no more, no less. He explained the problems and solutions before starting. The shower valve was high end - not a typical residential valve body. This took a return trip the next day because the defective part, a Moen balancing spool, was not something a plumber would stock in his truck. During this process, I found another leak on the water main line in the garage. He quickly took care of this. When all was said and done, his pricing was fair and reasonable, and we had the confidence that the repairs were solid. Thank you Yelp fans. Thank you, Jeff!

CVP & Jeff to the rescue. The reviews here are correct. I went to grab some cleaning supplies and noticed one of our water heater lines was leaking. One of those moments we all dread. Fortunately we found CVP through yelp. I gave the company a call left a voice mail and received a call back within 5 minutes. I explained the problem to Jeff and he said he'd be here in 15min. He rolled up on time and was courteous and professional. He even sent me a text messes so I could put our dog up before he came to the door. Jeff fixed the problem quick and for a reasonable price. We will definitely continue to use CVP in the future. If you want professional and reliable work done contact CVP.

My wife and I are really pleased with Carmel Valley Plumbing! Jeff returned our initial call promptly, worked with us on convenient scheduling, arrived on time, completed the job quickly and efficiently, and cleaned up after himself, all for a reasonable price. What more could we ask for? We consulted with Jeff on another project, and he suggested ideas to save us time and money. He has our unqualified recommendation!

Jeff is awesome! Very professional. The work was done perfectly and just as we agreed. Highly recommend him!

I highly recommend Carmel Valley Plumbing, Jeff Isber. We had flooding in our garage and house, called him and he came out right away. He determined that we had a leak in our slab, a total nightmare!!! He set us up so that we at least had water, then returned and re-routed the plumbing, a long, very complicated process. By the end of the next day the job was completed, amazing! He also lined up the necessary companies to do the dry out and restoration. This was extremely helpful as when you are in the middle of all this mess it is over whelming. Give him a call if you need an honest & ""fair priced"" plumber!

I had a plumbing emergency and Jeff was able to come to my house within 15 minutes after I called him. He took care of the immediate problem and will replace the faulty toilet within the next couple of days.
I highly recommend Jeff to anyone in Carmel Valley in need of a plumber!

If you live in the 92130 zip code and need a plumber, Jeff Isber at Carmel Valley Plumbing should be the first and only call you make! Our neighbor's water heater leaked and damaged their beautiful hard wood floors. Since all of the houses on our street were built at the same time (about 2004), we feared that the same thing would happen to us. I called Jeff, and he came over within 15 minutes to take a look at our water heater. He explained our options clearly, priced everything out, and recommended that we wait a few months to replace it. It was obvious that Jeff is familiar with the houses in our area (Pardee homes) and the parts and systems that they use. We soon thereafter had another plumbing issue. This time it was related to our kitchen sink. Sure enough, Jeff came over quickly, diagnosed and explained the problem and the solution. Once we authorized the repair, he replaced the parts and cleaned up....all in 15 minutes. His fee (including replacement parts and labor) was incredibly fair. All in all, a knowledgeable professional who provides great service at a reasonable price. And, he is a hell of a nice guy.

Our home is almost nine years old and are starting to replace/repair appliances and fixtures. We first called Carmel Valley Plumbing to come in and take a look at our water heater and sink piping. We chose CVP because we knew owner Jeff Isber and his wife through our daughter's elementary school, where their daughter is a student. The Isbers are active supporters of the school, and donate generously to the school district's fundraising programs. CVP is a family-owned small business with strong ties to the Carmel Valley community, a good trait for service providers who work on your home.
Jeff came by on short notice to check the water heater and sink piping. He explained clearly why the water heater was OK for the time being, but that we should switch it out at the end of the summer. When we asked why, Jeff said that he thought the heater would make it through the current winter and following summer, but that we shouldn't assume that it would make it through another winter. He recommended that we check the heater regularly for leaks. With our sink piping, Jeff said the problem was with our dishwasher and not the piping. Though CVP does not repair dishwashers, Jeff explained why he thought our dishwasher was not draining properly and generally what needed to be done to get it fixed. After looking at the sink piping and dishwasher, Jeff checked the faucet, noticed it was loose and looking worse for wear, and recommended a highly rated Grohe faucet sold at Home Depot if we wanted to replace it.
We were not charged for this visit.
More recently, our sink dispose-all began to leak from the bottom. I called CVP at 10 am. Jeff arrived shortly after noon, took a minute to determine that the dispose-all was shot, removed the old dispose-all and installed the new one (he had one in his truck), all in 30 minutes. As with the first visit, Jeff took the time to explain what was wrong with the existing dispose-all (leak from bottom of dispose-all means water from the wet upper half of the unit had gotten into the dry bottom half of the unit where the motor and circuitry are housed).
We plan to have CVP install our shiny new Grohe faucet in the near (but hopefully not immediate!) future, replace our water heater this summer, and diagnose/solve the many plumbing related problems that are certain to come up as our home ages.
I'd give CVP 10 stars if I could.

I thought I'd try this plumber because he's local, practically a neighbor. I had a small, slow drip in the kitchen ceiling. Another plumber mentioned cutting out the drywall around the area, repairing the pipe and then replacing with new drywall.
Went with Jeff Isber of Carmel Valley Plumbing because he said he would do it all, including the drywall.
He showed up the next morning with a Flood Control crew he had phoned without my consent. I told him we had no flood, but he said not to worry, my insurance would pay for everything. Without checking out the drip, he had already decided that 1) all the kitchen cabinets needed removing (even though they weren't near the leak) 2) the ceiling in the kitchen and the dining room needed to be removed and 3) the flooring replaced. I kept repeating that there was no flood!!
He was very insistent, using scare tactics of future mold, etc. I had to ask him and the Flood Control company several times to leave my home.
I went with another plumber and the job was just a simple pipe repair and drywall replacement.

Carmel Valley Plumbing did an excellent job installing two bathroom faucets and repairing a faucet that had been poorly installed by a ""tech"" plumber from Bill Howe Plumbling months before. Jeff was outstanding. I highly recommend Carmel Valley Plumbing!
