Had a pipe burst incident over the new year's holiday weekend while I was away. I scrambled to find a plumber to get the job fixed and a company canceled on me TWICE 2 days in a row and it was very infuriating and stressful. I did a yelp search and found Carlson plumbing and their solid 5 stars. I called and was helped by Jennifer who was able to find me an appointment early the following day. Ray and Ricardo showed up, found the root of the problem, and were able to finish the job the same day. Stellar experience from the moment they picked up the phone until the very end of the job. If we could, we would give this company 10 stars! Our kitchen sink was backing up and we called another plumber to clean out the drain with a snake. This other plumber use a camera inside the sewer line and said he found ""dirt"" and insects in the sewer line. They told us that the sewer line had a break in it and gave two options to repair it:
Option 1) Pull up our family room carpet, jackhammer through our concrete slab and repair the damaged section. Cost: $6630
Option 2) Sawcut at the cleanout at my front patio and use an ABS sleeve material to line the existing sewer line with an epoxy sleeve. Use a robotic cutter to cut 3 reinstatements. Cost: $14,225!!!!

Since I didn't really want to jackhammer inside my house, I preferred option number 2, but we decided to call another plumber first. Best decision! We called Carlson Plumbing because they were family-owned. They came out the next available business day. They also used a camera inside the sewer. They couldn't find any breach but said the sewer line was pretty caked with debris so he recommended they use a hydrojet to clean out the entire sewer line to get a better look. Cost would be $750, which would be applied to any repairs I may need. At that point, I was fairly hopeful they would give me a better estimate than the first plumber so I agreed to it. The owner of Carlson plumbing himself came out later that same afternoon, used the hydro jet and cleaned the entire sewer line. After checking the entire line carefully with a camera again, he said there wasn't any breach at all! No repair was necessary. Total cost: $750 for the hydro jet cleaning. They said that if they did have to do the same epoxy sleeve method of lining the sewer that the other plumber gave me a bid for, they would have charged about $6500--but he said I didn't need a repair because there wasn't any breach in the sewer line.

The ""dirt"" that the other plumber found was most likely a clay-like substance that typically builds up from the sludge and the insects we saw (looked like small flies) typically come in from the flue on the roof which is connected to the sewer. Needless to say, I was very glad to have called Carlson Plumbing!

If you happen to get a bid from a plumber that seems a bit high, call Carlson plumbing! Even better, maybe you should call them first. Saved us thousands!

We were plagued with bad plumbing at our house from from the start, and Carlson Plumbing has done an extraordinary job getting everything fixed up and in perfect condition. I have been meaning to write this review for some time now because we've used their services so often, and if ever we have plumbing issues at work, I know exactly who to call. Kyle especially exemplifies the epitome of professionalism and punctuality, however I certainly extend that sentiment to the rest of the Carlson Plumbing team.

Carlson Plumbing are experts in what they do, punctual, professional and easy to work with every single time, wish I could give more stars.

Had some work to do around the house--faucet replacement, shutoffs, etc. Jennifer in their front office was really helpful and friendly. She gathered a lot of info and scheduled their tech, Mason to come out.

Mason did an awesome job. His work was professional, he was courteous, and arrived on time. Jennifer confirmed the appointment and even sent a picture of Mason before he arrived.

I wouldn't hesitate to call Jennifer and Mason if I ever needed work done again.

Late night called cause the cylinder in my bath tub was stuck on and broke off. Called in less than 30 minutes, had a Plummer in my house.

Super polite family oriented professional who came in repaired it, but was also quiet enough to not wake our sleeping daughter. Amazing service.

Carlson Plumbing is my go to plumbing company for all my plumbing needs. I've used them at my home and my business and every time I've had a pleasant experience. By far the most honest and fair priced plumbers I've ever used. I will never make the mistake again by calling one of the big Plumbing companies that only want to upsell for services that are not needed.

As another semi local plumber I can say Brandon is a top notch guy, honest and doesn't play games, no bait and switch , no bs work that doesn't need to be done , just a local family operated biz with Brandon out in the field. To the guy who gave him a one star review saying he had a plumber come out for $75 as another SoCal fully licensed plumber with workman's comp and liability ins there's no legit company doing work for that price , maybe as a ""side job"" , handyman or in 1995 but no plumber can afford to turn the keys in their van for $75. Have you seen gas prices lately ? Anyways if your in his service area give him a call and want a straight up guy call Brandon - take it from another plumber
