Horrible communication. Claims to only have a landline, which makes real-time communication impossible. He was extremely rude on the phone. He showed up to my place but could not get in due to a mix up with the house code and since I had no way of real time communicating with him, he left. He charged my insurance company none the less. I called and emailed and never got a response. I will never work with him again and highly recommend you do not either.

It took weeks for our claim through our home insurance to get resolved because this company took FOREVER to take care of the issue. When our water heater was ""fixed"", a month later we had a major issue and the plumbing company we called said that Carl and Sons had installed it incorrectly which cost us another $300 to get it re-installed and fixed property. I would definitely NOT recommend this company at all.

My plumber showed up when promised, wearing a mask. James was polite, clean, and had alternatives ready if needed to fix my problem. He fixed my shower so it would work until the special ordered part arrived. Once the part was in hand, final repairs were completed and my shower plumbing fixture looks brand new.

After having our water heater issue assessed by a large plumbing company in town, who quoted us between $1700-$4K, James simply reset it and adjusted for the altitude. A wonderful experience, honest guy, and it's a shame not all service providers are as fair as him. Well done.

I have had Carl's and Sons out to my home on several occasions!!! I cannot say enough great things about this company!! Honest and knowledgeable. I have tried others in the area - only because Carl's and Sons was very busy at the time... Very sad the way other companies in Big Bear treat local residents.
