I needed a new Thermostat, and had purchased a Honeywell. It required a ""C"" wire to work. It was something I could not figure out, so I called the professionals. Unfortunately the Tech said he did not know how either, so he installed a thermostat he just happened to have, for $350. I had the C wire run, and hooked up to my thermostat, but was having difficulty deciding where to find the 24V hookup on the furnace circuit board. I thought an HVAC tech would know this. But instead he just installed a new one, without wifi, (which I didn't realize until after he left). I also purchased their service package, with the promise that he would clean my AC/Furnace unit (which was full of leaves and debris). Today I climbed up to check on his work. All the leaves and debris were still there, so I hauled the shop-vac onto the roof and did it myself. I was willing to pay for the service contract, just to have it cleaned, and at 64 years old, I was happy to pay a younger man to do it for me! They did come out fast, and the tech was very pleasant. I just fell for the old bait and switch con job, and in the end had to do the work myself.

Had an amazing experience with Carl's Air Conditioning and plumbing. I called around 6:30am for a leak in my master bathroom toilet. This bathroom is a cursed bathroom with all the water issues that I've had and was having again! I expressed to dispatch how quickly I needed someone to fix the water leak as it started to cause water damage. Less than 15 minutes later, Brandon was dispatched and heading my way. He even followed up with to a phone call to let me know he was 18 minutes out.
Once Brandon got here and assessed the situation, he was honest with me and gave me a few options. After I gave the go ahead with numbers and repairs, he got started on it, finding that the leak wasn't as bad as originally thought, saving me just a little more money.
The toilet has now been repaired and working perfectly.
The water damage in my ceiling is going to be repaired by another company, going through my homeowners insurance. Saves me time and money from calling around or trying to repair the damages myself.
So happy that I called Carls, they really saved the day! I highly recommend Carls and Brandon their service tech!

I would love to speak with the owner about all of this.
My advice: Get everything in writing before you proceed!
The actual warranty information we received is different from the warranty we were promised by the sales rep. After multiple phone calls, Carl's Air agreed to provide some additional warranty information, but this is still not the full warranty the sales rep described. Our units are two months old and we already have had one service call to repair a faulty unit. We called on a Sunday night (in extreme Vegas heat!) and they could not send anyone out until the next day. A repair on a new unit is a huge concern!
Our rep told us we would receive a $4000 tax rebate. Turns out the tax rebates are now UP TO $1500 and currently, there are no rebates because the Nevada Energy program has ended. If we had been told ""you may get a rebate of up to..."" instead of ""WILL get a rebate of $4000"" we could have understood the costs differently and looked at the rebates before making the purchase. This was incorrect info that results in a $4000 loss for us. The manager apologized that we were given incorrect info, but nothing was done to make up for their mistake.
Terrible service overall. They bumped into my antique piano with a furnace and gouged/scratched the arms, but didn't offer any compenation. An installer stepped through the ceiling, which can happen, but the original drywall repair was terrible, not textured, and did not match. We had three different people come in to fix the drywall and it still has cosmetic defences. I'm waiting for the office to call me for a fourth repair to the drywall. When they painted the ceiling, paint dripped all over the walls and carpet and the painter did not notice or clean it up.
Almost all of the appointments were late. My husband and I both took time off work to be here with installers at different times, and one day I rearranged my schedule to stay home they did not even show up. The office doesn't do well returning phone calls. After a month of back and forth, I was finally working with a General Manager and after he hadn't responded for a few days, I called and found he's no longer employed by Carl's Air, but didn't pass my case on to anyone else when he left.
In the end, we are furious, disappointed, out about $6000, and worried about the overall quality of our units since our warranty is not the lifetime/full replacement warranty that we were promised.

AC low on gas.
wanted gas added and find the slow leak.
since the unit is older the technician said they didn't carry any Freon for this machine and said they couldn't service the unit. Told us we would have to purchase a whole new unit.
Well I contacted another company who said they had the Freon.
They charge up the Freon and figured out how to fix the leak.
The bill for this service was $600 which included a $140 capacitor.
That was 2 years ago and the AC is working fine.
In conclusion I would not recommend Carls for any kind of service.

Response to need for AC services was within 4 hours of the appointment. The repair completed was sufficient and we have no other issues since completion. We do feel the cost of repairs was relatively high and could have been higher if questions were not asked during the repair process. The technician was all over the place without clarification of the path to identifying the problem. Our system is working thank you, we did not receive a receipt or any warranty information as of today. I have also attached a picture of our unit showing a screw not replaced after repair. Our system is only 3 years old and has not had any other repairs done so we recommend if you use this company Carl's or any other watch them from beginning to job completion.

My AC went out in middle of the night. I called Carls AC at 530am and got answering service. They set up appt and said he would be there in a few hours and he was. Arnold diagnosed problem quickly. Explained work and price. No upsell. Arnold answered all my questions patiently. Price seemed in line with other AC business's. I would use again!

Trust is what I have for Carls Air Conditioning. Today Linda was out for my seasonal checkup and was kind enough to check up on previous work. Polite, professional and kind. Fixed some details as part of the check up and AC is running smooth. Thank you so much.

I've been using Carl's AC for several years now. Technician Linda completed my annual AC check-up a couple of weeks ago and offered an annual membership for a little more money. Today, I had Ron and Rene respond to conduct a ""plumbing inspection."" I was pleasantly surprised when they completed the home inspection of my plumbing and didn't try selling me anything nor pushing any upgrades. I highly recommend Carl's Air Conditioning.

Highly recommend this A/C company. Knowledgeable, fair pricing, on time! My service technician Linda, was amazing. Very honest and BS! Hope you're lucky enough to have Linda as your technician!
