Today Carlos Esquivel came out to access a Freon leak in our AC system that Carini Air installed in 2014. This is not first time we have had issues with the Freon (last year) and the last technician that came out said there was nothing wrong (not sure he even checked). So when the issues came up again this year, I was hesitant to call Carini air , as I had lost trust in their assessment. I did call another company, they came out, called Gabriel Carini personally and Gabe did authorize this company to repair an air leak on the system in the house and checked for another leak. The unit was out of Freon, so a leak was found. I decided to call Carini and give them a chance to make it right. Carlos came out, explained what he had to do and the cost. We spoke for awhile on my feelings about the repair/cost and how come Carini did not stand behind their install. I was going to go with the other company to fix the problem, until Carlos said he understood my frustration and that Carini air should stand behind their work and customer service. He did the job for no charge and restored my faith in a company that not only says they are there for the customer, but actually follows thru on that promise. Carini was a day away from losing a customer, if Carlos had not stepped in to fix the wrong. You now have a customer for life and will recommend Carini Air to anyone looking for an honest company to deal with.
Thank you again Carlos for your integrity, honesty and customer service skills. Carini Air should be happy to have you as an employee.

I had a leaking pipe in my rental condo in Lakeside. I called about 6 places, all advertising as 24/7 emergency service. Only 2 were able to offer to send someone out that evening. I needed that day since it was in a condo complex and multiple units get shut down if the water is shut off. I called their 24/7 line and they told me the tech would be calling me soon. He called within 10 minutes and said he could be there within 30-45 minutes!! Technician named Joe showed up. He was very polite and accommodating. He took a look at the job and gave me a quick price and went to work. He had everything he needed in his truck and he finished up in less than an hour. Great technician!
Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was the cost. They were pricey (I am in the contractor industry) for the work that needed to be done, but due to other companies not even giving me a callback on their ""24/7"" service, I didn't have many other options.

Ricardo and Leo jr. Are an amazing team. I had issues with my drains and lucky for me i chose the right company to help. They answered all questions, showed me exactly what was wrong, and gave me several options for repairs. If u need honest work done, call these guys. You wont regret it!

I'll preface this by stating I'm Carini customer and giving a 3 star rating because I've only dealt with Carini once prior to being assigned overseas, and once after returning from my overseas assignment.

After my initial discussions with their salesperson I decided to use their services because they came highly recommended by friends who had used them about a year earlier. 

That being said...

I sat with their salesman and discussed my desire to install a similar AC/Heat system as the one he'd installed in my friends home. 

I had Carini replace my old, out dated, LOUD whole house fan, blow in attic insulation and I decided to order a WiFi enabled dual split AC/Heat system. I'd completed the order just prior to going on an 2.5 year overseas assignment. The system was installed while I was overseas, with my renter (a friend of mine) overseeing the installation process on my behalf. 

While I was overseas my renter stated she rarely used the system, and when it was installed she didn't have the installers configure Kumo Cloud because she's not the type of person to use their smartphone to do things around the house such as AC/Heat or use the alarm system. She'd rather push buttons on the wall. 

Flash forward to 2019, I returned from my overseas assignment & began to set up the WiFi enabled system Carini installed. Lo and behold I found out I was sold a WiFi enabled system WITHOUT the much needed Kumo Cloud WiFi adapters.

As I said previously, I was referred by friends who purchased a similar system. The same Carini salesperson came to my house to tell me about the products they sell and he ultimately convinced me to purchase the system he thought would be suite my home - luckily it was a WiFi enabled system! That being said HOW do you sell a customer a WiFi enabled system without WiFi adapters and not tell them?

Turns out I was sold a WiFi capable system WITHOUT the WiFi capability which is COMPLETELY USELESS if one wants to use their smartphone as a smartphone.

Now Carini wants to charge $867 for parts, tax and labor (online the WiFi adapters cost $166 each). You simply attach the adapters to the CN105 port on the indoor unit control board then configure Bluetooth and MAC addressing in Kumo Cloud.

Buyers beware. 

Make sure you're getting a complete system, although if you're relying on the salesperson to sell you a complete system you may have to ask him/her (if you're going through Carini), if the system they're selling you is a complete system. 

I wish I knew I needed to ask my salesman if he was selling me a completely WiFi ENABLED system when he sold me a WiFi system!

Had Carini sold me a complete system, which I could use as designed, as the salesperson told me I would be able to do, I would have given them a 5 star rating.  

Now I sit back and think of the thousands (more than $10k) I'd spent buying attic insulation, a whole house fan, and a WiFi AC/Heat system, parts, tax and labor, and they didn't include the much needed Kumo Cloud WiFi adapters which should have been mentioned/sold to me in the initial order. Had I known this was going to be the case I would have kept research other AC/Heat installers.

I used these guys once to check a leak in the kitchen. I had some mortgage papers on the counter and the guy was staring at them. Hi knows what info he got off of my stuff. My bad for leaving that stuff on the counter but I caught him!!

These guys are great! I am so happy we found them! We came home from the weekend out of town to a clogged sewer line. Called another plumbing company, and the plumber came equipped with just the camera and an attitude of a salesman. Talked thousands of dollars in repairs and scheduled the expensive jet flushing for the next morning. That's when I called Carini Plumbing. They were professional, kind and reassuring, honest and straight forward. They snaked the line and when they inserted the camera to confirm that the line was cleared, they had us watch. Turned out there was no need for any expensive repairs, as the sewer line had been almost completely replaced recently by the previous owner. Ricardo recommended that we replace the last small piece of remaining old pipe some time in the future, and left us with smiles on our faces and greatly relieved. I would wholeheartedly recommend Carini Plumbing! Thank you so much, Ricardo, Gilbert and Leo!

Can't say enough about the whole experience & team at Carini. Had our AC unit installed a couple months ago & from day 1 everything has been top notch. This company hands down takes care of its customers even after install.

Jason is a phenomenal guy, helped us secure financing and learn about the whole installation & permit process. Never once felt like we were being pressured or upsold on anything.

Tyler headed our install process, made it seamless! Very professional & polite, these people are pros! They cleaned everything & were very efficient & thorough.

2 months after install we had a minor repair issue on a Saturday (nothing to do with their unit or install). We called Jason & they managed to find their guy on a Saturday & by that afternoon we were back up & running.

Carini is stellar - don't use anyone else. This is literally how a business should be run, a supreme business model!!!!
