Called care one to come after hours for a valve switch out, couldn't finish the job myself and didn't want to leave my water shut off before work the next day. Of course you pay extra for the after hours and anything in plumbing is not cheap, but it's expected and worth it when their experience and skill can save you from making a huge mistake that costs you more. Expecting the price to be outrageous i was surprised to hear a fair price for someone having to interrupt their day and drive to my house. Paul was very experienced, polite, clean, and respectful. I've worked with a lot of plumbers and i can say Paul made me feel comfortable about the entire experience. Highly recommend care one based on this experience.

We called Care One on a Saturday afternoon, when no one else was answering their phones or calling us back, even though they advertised 24/7 service. Paul said he would be out Sunday to fix a sprinkler valve failure that resulted in a geyser of water and having to turn off all the water to the house. He showed up on time and cost was reasonable for a Sunday call. The problems were quickly fixed and water is back on. I will call them again when I need a plumber.

I recommend this business. Paul & his assistant arrived within the 1 hour time frame provided. They installed natural gas fire logs into our fireplace at a reasonable cost. Courteous & professional.

Yikes. I have a craftsman/Spanish revival little house from about 1929. In this house is a wall heater embedded in the hand-finished stucco walls. The heater is from about 1959 as near as I can figure. It is built like a tank, it heats the room superfast, it looks good, and it stopped working.

Was it safe? Could it be repaired? Would I die if I kept using it? If I took it out, what was I going to go with the big hole in the stucco (interior) wall? Could parts be obtained for a 1959 heater?

I called a number HVAC places. The thing that happened most was, companies made an appointment and never showed. Second was convincing me over the phone that I didn't want a repair, that I'd change my mind and not do it, that when they told me my heater couldn't be fixed I'd think they were lying, so why bother coming over in the first place because I wasn't going to believe them anyway when they told me things which they knew already without coming over because etc. They advised me to just get the gas company to red-tag it, to save them the time. Basically, no one wanted a small, annoying job that they'd have to spend hours on the phone for, calling around trying to find parts. I interpreted all this to mean: They didn't want my business. The feeling was mutual.

Another thing people liked to do was give a cursory look and then switch into ""You need to air condition the whole house"" mode, with the ""You'll only spend a little more than you would just fixing the heater. See? Only $6,000 more! We'll put the compressor right here!"" I would love AC, but can't afford it.

One guy who did show up told me the unit had mysterious thermal stress cracks - ""Right there - see?"" ""Wait - what are you pointing at?"" ""Right there - see that crack?"" ""That's a welded seam."" ""Yeah, and there's no way to fix it, it'll leak carbon monoxide while you're asleep!"" Whole-house AC would fix this situation, he informed me, and he'd be happy to help.

When I asked one guy, if he took out the heater, who was going to fix the big hole in the stucco, he said: His uncle, who is ""very good"" at matching craftsman stucco styles from 1929.

Finally I saw the reviews here. Paul from Care One came out, listened carefully to what I was saying, inspected the heater, pronounced it well-made and sound, went out to his truck and got a replacement valve, put it all back together, lit and tested it, and that was that.

I particularly appreciated that he was willing to listen to me, talk to me, and show me what he was doing when he saw I was interested. A completely pleasant experience.

Also: He's certified on Noritz tankless water heaters and did a maintenance as long as he was here.

We have a plumber come to our unit once a year for preventive maintenance and this year we gave Paul a call. We are so happy we did. He was flexible with appointment times, informative, and fair priced. Although our service wasn't very labor intensive he took the time to do it right and give us lots of suggestions about the future use of our plumbing. If you're in need of a honest hard worker who won't come to your home and try to make more money off of you then call Care 1 Plumbing.

I was in a bind and called ""Care One Plumbing"". I explained my issue he showed up and was able to unclog my main line. Not to mention he came out in the pouring rain with his professional help Kevin. He went on the roof and it had me puzzled for a min but 30 mins later the line was clear. Very reasonable price for the emergency I was in. I now will only call ""Care One Plumbing"" for all my plumbing needs if any in the future. You would be stupid not to.

We had slab leak and I called Care One plumbing after reading the great reviews. He showed up on time for the estimate and was very thorough before he quoted us. He spent a lot of time with us going over what he had to do and checking things twice. He quoted us for rerouting the slab leak and said he would call me back to let me know about scheduling. He never did call, I ended up following up with him. Either way he came and began the work he rerouted the pipes and did what he said he would do. Everything is in working order and we are very grateful for the job. However, what I am having issue with is the fact he quoted me one price and when he submitted his bill it was way more than what we originally discussed. I don't have an issue paying for work well done. But I don't like surprises and this surprise bill was over $500.00. It left me feeling ripped off because that is not what he quoted originally. I guess I learned a $500 lesson get the quote in writing before hand.

I had twice the opportunity to interact with Paul and none of them were pleasant.
While they say they are available on week-ends, he did not returned my call until the following Monday, showed 1.5 hours late to his appointment and presented me with a quote for $1,200 in labor for warranty work and upgrade on a Noritz water heater. I told I him didn't want the extras he recommended and he was very unhappy with my answer. I just wanted him to replace the defective part under warranty not anything else. He agreed to do it for $275. We ordered the part. When I got the part, I called him at 7:30am and left a voice mail. He never returned the call. I called again at 5:30pm that day and spoke to him. He told me he wouldn't be able to come until the following Monday, today.
He showed up on time and asked me to signed a release of liability for the work he was about to do, meaning he would not accept to take any responsibility for his own work, would not guaranty the water heater would work after the part was replaced, or for the damages he could do in my house while working there. I found this unacceptable and unprofessional. Remember I paid $100 for his first visit and his professional diagnostic of the issues.
He said, I quote "" I will not have take any liability for $275"".
I refused to sign his document and send him away ... It's got to be Paul's way or the highway.
