All.i want was a new thermostat I was told I needed all new wiring 3 days 1 day for 12 hrs
In January with no heat 1400.00 dollars later come may the.air wouldn't come on called someone else to.find out the thermostat was wired wrong when I called the owner he was rude and verbally abusive I don't know how they stay in business

I called for air conditioning repair. The technician analyzed the problem immediately as the capacitor and explained that he did not have the correct part on his truck. He returned with the part, installed it and checked the system. So far so good. I was handed a bill for 1.25 hrs. @ $125 per hour which he totaled as $200. When I called for clarification, I was told that they ""round up"". 1.25 hrs. @ $125 = $156.25 a difference of $43.75 (28% overcharge). If they ""rounded up"" to the nearest half hour, it would have been 1.5 hrs. @ $125 = $187.50. I have no idea why I was charged $200 and the 'gentleman' I spoke to was curt and provided no satisfactory explanation. He did say that they 'don't play games with money' but...

They came with a new part that costs $50 more than retail. I know they get their parts wholesale. Discovering that they widen their margin so obviously really irritated me. They expect people to be dumb and not realize what they are doing. Then one guy spent less than 20 minutes, installing the new part, rushed in and rushed out, he was not able to look at other items on our list, and we were charged $125 for labor, which feels like an hourly rate to me. There were two men, which was totally unecessary and a great way to increase your labor rate that you charge if you ask me. They said they had tons of jobs that day, so their whole goal as a company is to rush into as many houses they can, overcharge for labor, and mark up their parts with a 90% margin to make even more money off from that. Really disappointed will not be using them again. I would love to find a local Cranston area plumber who I would be happy to pay an hourly rate for an hours work to.

I called Carbone plumbing and heating with some issue with my boiler. Rick diagnosed the problem and quoted me 400$ for the job to fix it. He had all the information required to give me a quote e.g. part price. I agreed with it, no time did he mentioned that it was an estimate. After replacing the part, he gave me the bill of $594 which is a rip-off. Nothing new came up after he gave me the quote, it was a standard uneventful replacement. He argued that originally, he estimated it incorrectly. He charged me 375$ for 3 hours of labor which included his 1 hr. travel time to get the part and 219$ for the part. The part price is 100$, 119 $ markup is Ok if you do not charge for a travel time, but when you are charging me 125$ for your travel time, then markup price is not fair. In any case, if he gave me a quote of 400$, he should respect that given that there was no surprises or additional work. I paid him for whatever he asked for because I do not like the drama. By charging me extra 200$, he lost a customer for a lifetime. If you have to call this company, make sure to get the quote in writing.

I was very pleased with their responsiveness and work. I had an unusual job 2 years ago in Chepachet. I needed a new burner for a Longwood oil ignition wood burning furnace and they handled it very well for me.

What a sham company....came to unclog kitchen sink and was there almost 4 hours. Got paid. Never finished job...left the basement a Sludge Mess. Was Rude and condescending, Joe the repairman couldn't figure out what to do, said he was in business 30 years ...wanted to replace pipes...asked another plumbing Company to take a look and completed job in 3 hours and even put a new faucet in...Please BEWARE OF CARBONE PLUMBING...SCAMMERS AND POOR SERVICE...VERY POOR....BEWARE!!!! BEWARE.....I have pictures on how he works....
