Sam M.Our property manager hired them to come out and fix our HVAC system last summer bc some of our units were 95 degrees and higher due to an issue with the A/C. They had to come out to my unit at least 3 times in order to fix the issue bc the first 2 times turned out to be temporary fixes and the A/C only lasted for a few hours. They were finally able to fix things the 3rd time. This was very disappointing as I had to suffer through high heat for several days. I would never hire this company to do any work.
Our Homeowners Association hired Capitol Boiler Works to do some electrical repairs on our entrance lights.
There was one light that the light fixture itself was broken off, and we had two other lights that were side by side, different colors and pointing in different directions. They did not repair the broken light. They did not replace the different colored lights with same color lights, nor did they straighten them to shine in the same direction. Our property manager told us they would be out the next day to fix the problems. This was never done.
We received a bill including a floodlight for $456.00 and 4.5 hours of labor for $562. They did absolutely nothing, I called and challenged the bill, asked to see a receipt for the purchase of the $456 light bulb. They refused to produce the receipt, or make any adjustment to our bill which totaled $1173.54 for doing absolutely nothing.
I spoke to two electricians who work for other communities in the Springfield, VA area. Both said they had never heard of a light bulb that would cost that much, and that the time billed was extremely excessive.
I spoke to the VP, Kenny Thomas, and Laura Heyde in accounting. They were rude and completely unwilling to make any adjustment. Needless to say we will never use them again, and I would suggest anyone needing this kind of work done should get multiple estimates.
