Had plumbing created for added bathroom and outdoor faucets replaced. Had to get additional plumbers out to fix the toilet flange for toilet assembly. Faucet on north end still leaks. Faucet on south end requires it to be turned on at full power, then lowered to needed water pressure.
They recommended a specific sink, that didn't end up working, that they didn't respond to regarding exchange for a different sink.

Originally checked and replaced backflow valve for outdoor sprinkler system and had them do some other work that was required. Very knowledgeable about plumbing, codes, and pipes. They seem to know everything! Workmanship and service from this family owned business is outstanding. Can't go wrong here.

I used to be a loyal customer to Capital Plumbing in Troy MI. I highly recommend AGAINST them. My most recent dealings with them has been completely unacceptable! They canceled on me twice, promising they would for sure come and not cancel a 3rd time...they NEVER SHOWED UP OR EVEN CALLED! They Won't return any of my phone calls!!!!
This company does not deserve anyones business!
0 s for Capital Plumbing!
Dealing with drips and leaks during trying to sell and show your house for over 3 weeks is just BAD BUSINESS!!!!

I had Capital out for an inspection of a suspected broken sewer line after having a bad experience with another contractor. Within 5 minutes of arriving they removed the toilet and inspected the sewer line with a camera while I watched the entire time. They discovered the problem was under the concrete kitchen floor and possibly outside also. They started the big job a few days later. The job took a couple days (as expected) and was bigger than even they thought. The quality of the job was unbelievable! This was a BIG job and honestly I was worried about choosing the right contractor. Glad I chose Capital, the price was fair, done on-time and they were easy to work with. My experience was great and I highly recommend Joe and his crew at Capital.

I hate doing this, since they did a decent job on replacing water heater tank, but they didn't refund me the $35 consultation fee that they said they won't charge me for if I decided to move forward. I called twice already and they said they will process it the next business day. It's been weeks already and I haven't seen it go through. This is what you get for not sticking to your promises.

Joe at Capital Plumbing called me immediately (in fact he was the only company that called me after my HomeAdvisor request). We spoke to him about our job, which was a BIG job. We had to hook up from a septic system to our city sewer. He came out when he said he would, spent time explaining what was involved, and sent a quote within 24 hours (may have even been that evening). We did talk to a couple other plumbing companies, and even asked if Joe could come back out to talk to us again, he came back out with a couple of his crew to look at the home and answer even more questions we had. He wanted to be sure we were very satified with what would happen, the cost and the time involved. We decided on working with Captial Plumbing and I can say, that we are more than pleased with everything. Joe, Chris, and his crew were MORE than professional, polite, experienced and called to us to keep me and my husband informed of what would be happening that day (we weren't living in the house he was working on just yet). Everything was on schedule, on budget and no major surprises. They were always on time, we never once had to hunt them down to see where they were or when they were coming out. In fact, all the other contractors we had working at our home while Capital Plumbing was doing their work for 10 days, raved on how professional and polite they were. They were great with working with the city and permits and inspectors, cleaning up was wonderful and the cement work they did on the floor (we had to have part of our basement floor jackhammered up) was wonderful, smooth and better than what was there previously. They truly take pride in their work, and respect their customers, their customers time, and we felt they were very fair in pricing. They are now ""our"" plumbers. We plan to have them help with more work in our bathrooms and laundry room. For new home owners who have never had to spend that much money on our previous home, they were more than wonderful, professional and experienced which greatly eased our minds.

They replaced the hot water heater in my house with a lower quality model than we agreed to. After I discovered this fact, my inquiry to the owner was met with barrage of obscenities. I also paid them the cost of pulling the permit, which they never did. They give contractors a bad name.

We've used Capital Plumbing several times for various issues-gas leak that needed to be sealed in basement pipe, sump pump backup needed clearing and a bathroom leak fixed. Joe and his team are always responsive, reliable, competitive with pricing and very thorough with their work. Highly recommend!

I'd love to be able to give a more thorough review. Unfortunately, after having Joe and his assistant in my home for an estimate a month ago, I have yet to even receive the estimate for my bathroom update, even though I was assured one would be emailed to me within a few days. I understand things come up, so I gave a few extra days to receive it. A week later, I called and left a voicemail to find out when I could expect it. I still have not heard back. If this is any indication of how they do business, I'll take mine elsewhere. Stay away!

Joe did a an awesome job repairing my water heater relief valve. I had called home advisory and got his business. Upon talking to him over the phone he arrived at my house in about 40 min and repaired the problem on the spot. Even was nice enough to give a general quote over the phone base on the description I gave. Very nice gentleman, taught me a bit about water heaters. He was very personable in the fact that he didn't mind teaching a fellow mechanic a few tricks. Thanks so much for your immediate help! If I have future problems that I am not great at repairing myself I will definitely be calling you again!
