These guys are up to something, and it doesn't involve professionalism. They never showed up for an appointment though my home warranty, won't answer the phone, voicemail is full... The initial conversation I had with the guy was a little sketchy to begin with, so maybe it's a blessing that he never showed up. Save time and frustration and go with someone else.

This is a direct quote from a post Bob Clendening, the owner, made on Facebook ""Drum up bisiness this a way. Bring a tin can w/ rusty water in and throw it up under the boiler , turn around an say ""hey ma'am your cast iron heat exchanger got a crack in it ! 1 day later your walkin away $6500 an goin home to a happy wife , who will throw you up on her shoulder and parade you around like a god.Aint life gran? Where do I start. Water valve was leaking and my warranty company sent them. Had to call and see when they were actually coming out and they did to collect their $100 trade fee call. Drew came out on a Monday and said he needed parts and will give me a Tuesday to let me know what the warranty company covers. I DID NOT HEAR BACK FROM HIM. So I called him directly on Wednesday and he stated the work has been approved and he needs parts and will give me a call to schedule another appoint. It is now Friday and I still haven't heard back from him. So I called and he stated he is still in need of one more part and will give me a call next week when he has everything, I called him on Monday to get the status he says he can come on Tuesday between 9 &10. 10:30 AM on Tuesday NO DREW. I called to see if he was still coming out and no he can't make it and says he should have called me early but he still needs parts and can come out on Friday at noon. Friday at noon comes and still NO DREW. so I called the company directly the guy answers and says maybe he had a family emergency I can give you his cell. I called his cell it rung twice before he sent me to voicemail. DREW NEVER SHOWED UP TO COMPLETE ANY WORK THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE. I ended up calling the warranty company again asking to have a new company come out.

I can speak to the quality of the work done in my house and what's frustrating is months later, I had to hire someone else who came in and did the job correctly. My kitchen sink was leaking and needed to be replaced. The plumber that came out installed it but I am finding out now, did not install it correctly. When Capital City came out, I felt as though the faucet seemed loose and the plumber assured me that it needed to basically break itself in after use which did not make sense because I would think it would go from stiff to loose, not loose to stiff, but okay..he was the expert. Turns out, there was a piece that was not installed which made it loose. The plumber I hired months later did the job, and the kitchen faucet is now firmly in place, the way I expected it to be after the plumber with Capital City did it. I even had to call Capital City again after about a month of the initial install, and the plumber came out and did basically nothing because the faucet was still loose. I would not recommend them.

I had three scheduled appointments in Capitol Hill, each time taking off from work. When I first called he asked was it warranty work and I said it was not. Then he asked specifics and requested I send photos by phone, which I did. We spoke and he seemed very knowledgeable and friendly, so we arranged the 1st appointment. He did not show up or call, apologized for the ""mix up"". He did not show up or call for a 2nd time, having another excuse. When I called in during the appointment window to confirm for the 3rd time for no reason he became belligerent and hung up the phone.

The Home Warranty company sent a plumber from this firm over. He did get into the crawlspace and have a look, but then told me the problem was definitely pre-existing (no it wasn't) and that his firm wouldn't touch it. After I'd made my case to the Home Warranty about the first issue, they tried to set me up with Capital City Plumbing again and I was told, again, that they wouldn't help out -- their operation is not big enough. Well at least they were honest, I guess, though my faith in this company would be higher if the contractor we spoke to didn't reek of alcohol... at 10 in the morning.

I don't need to write anything, however, understand that my rating reflects my experience as a consumer. If you do work with them, you will see what I mean.

I can't speak for the quality of their work. But what I can say is that my home warranty insurance company sent this company out to see about fixing a broken pipe. Within 10 minutes of putting in the claim this plumber called and said he'd be right over. Seemed strange but whatever. When he got here, the plumber declared that the broken pipe was an act of god and therefore not covered under my insurance plan. --$75 please. How this internal pipe was an act of god wasn't explained but nonetheless he wanted $75 for showing up and declaring the work uninsurable. I refused to pay and he said the insurance company would pay him and he left. It seems to me that the reason he was able to respond so fast is that is what he does: he drives around answering insurance work, calling them acts of gods, and then he gets paid without doing work. Everyone benefits except the policy holder. The policy holder pays big money for the policy. Let's say the plumber answers 4 calls a day. At $75 a call, he can make $80,000 a year give or take. The insurance company only has to pay $300 a day instead of the thousands it was suppose to pay to repair my internal pipe. Just another day in America
