Recommended Customer Reviews

I needed my front hose bib replaced.
Nathan came on time (& the next morning after I contacted them).
He explained the issue, took care of the repairs quickly & was very nice.
Will definitely use them again.

They came out same day, gave me competitive estimates for replacing a water heater similar to other quotes from other plumbers in town, and were knowledgeable and friendly. They walked through options for tank and tankless and what each would require in terms of venting and connections. Also reset my pilot light. Highly recommend!

I'm glad I hired them to replace plumbing valves in my home. They were professional, their prices were reasonable, and they got the job done. I would hire them again.

As the unofficial bathroom inspector of my family, I was called in for an emergency at my in-law's house when their toilet shut-off valve decided to retire early and start leaking everywhere.
Now, I could have replaced the supply line hose myself (I mean, how hard could it be?), but did I really want to risk turning their bathroom into a mini water park? Nope, not today.
Enter Capital City Plumbing and Drain. I messaged them, and in what felt like the time it takes to make microwave popcorn, they were at the door. The plumber worked magic, fixing the shut-off valve and swapping out the supply line hose in just a few minutes, all without any stress or soggy floors.
Highly recommend--5/5 would call them for future plumbing emergencies at someone else's house!

Friendly and fast, did a great job! I appreciated the honest assessment on a separate issue and hired them to tackle that, too!

Capital City diagnosed and repaired a slab leak for us recently, and we went ahead and had them install a Navien tankless water heater and do a few other small plumbing jobs while since they were already working with the water lines. Mike is great! Punctual, polite, and professional. He isolated our slab leak quickly and explained what the repair would look like. While that repair did involve opening up walls and ceilings, the damage was much less than I was anticipating and they cleaned up nicely -- nice job Mike and Hunter! Mike also helped me come up with a solution to reposition our water shutoff valve in our garage to eliminate an unsightly box on the wall.

Quick response and great service at a reasonable price. They provided a quote prior to the service call.

These guys were great! Showed up next day to fix an emergency sink clog issue. Hunter was professional, courteous, explained everything he did and fixed the issue thoroughly. And all at a very competitive rate. Saving these guys to my phone (tho hopefully won't have to use them that much). Highly recommended.

Today, I actually needed these guys for a tough drain in my kitchen that wouldnt unclog even though I tried to snake it with my $35 HomeDepot snake.
The technician was friendly and knowledgeable, brought a powerful snake machine. He had to snake it twice, my line was very clogged and apparently full of grease from years of owning this house. We even thought he couldnt get it to drain, but he did after some efforts.
He then recommended a further service of Hydrojet, which I may consider if we stay in the house.
He cleaned up everything perfectly before he left and always wore booties to not bring any dirt in the house.
The price was fair. Overall, very satisfied.

Business has changed over past 3 years, much worse and much more expensive. Last time, 3 years ago, one of their plumbers came out and did work in my kitchen and 2 bathrooms, work done well with reasonable hourly fee. Talked to office and explained I have simple plumbing project in external building, it would take me 1-2 hours (at most) and I'm a simple amateur with minor plumbing experience. She said plumber was in my area, $89 estimate fee could be applied to job price. I asked if previous plumber (Billy) available but he had left. She indicated for simple job an hourly fee could apply but they have fixed fees for some jobs. My external building has pipes exposed, no trouble accessing them. Plumbers sent data to office and aren't allowed to give estimate, so they left after taking my $89. My estimate finally came by email and it was just under $1400. Absolutely outrageous and ridiculous. Included a $475 "whole house gas test" even though this is an isolated out building with separate shut off at gas meter. Plumbers no longer want to charge by the hour, instead they quote outrageous "job completion" prices that are more than I pay seasoned attorneys.
