Have been very happy with my experiences with this company. They have come out on multiple occasions to help me with a chronic toilet problem which was supposed to have been taken care of by a previous plumber. They gave me good advice, and solved the problem (at least so far!). James has come on very short notice and been very attentive.

One star is overrating this company. I have used them twice. My first experience was terrific. The second time I was so grossly overcharged by the technician I left 6 messages for James to call me back. He never returned my call. Had another emergency today so I called again. Left two more messages and never received a call back. On another note I feel sorry for his neighbors in Washington Manor. He runs his business out of his house and has his work trucks parked all over the place. He also leaves used toilets and other materials outside his house. His poor neighbors. Don't waste your time or money on James's business acumen.

Well, decided to give this guy another chance....first, they promised a time to come over like 10-11 am which was fine but then later called and left a message that they would be there at 7am....not good since this was for my 91 year old mother and I could not be there at 7am and mom cannot hear, and no way to call them! Second, although they did clear the laundry line which was what they were to do, they left a mess in the back shower that appeared to be backflow (dried lint and dirt) likely from the laundry clean out and it dried so took some elbow grease to clean up. So overall....not the worst experience but not the greatest experience either.

Called James at Capelli on Monday to request a repair on a kitchen faucet and an estimate for some minor repair work in the bathroom. He came out promptly at 8 the next morning and was definitely more interested in selling me on a repipe job and when he got to the bathroom, he barely listened to the issue and told me I'd need a new toilet because parts were no longer available. That's his standard response when he comes to these older homes and he quoted me just under $10K for everything! He even tried to infer that the damage to my rusted through bathtub downspout was caused by my cat! Made an appointment for Friday at 7:30 a.m. for just the repair on my kitchen faucet estimated at a couple hundred dollars. He never showed up and never responded to my 5 phone calls...and yes, James it was YOUR voice on that answering machine. Their website advertises ""no job too big"", but apparently some ARE too small when he can't talk you into a bigger investment. As a woman, and older, I refuse to be taken advantage of. Don't bother with these guys. One star, but only because it won't let me do none

Had to call James again for a different problem than the one he fixed three weeks ago. This time it was a a distraught toilet in the upstairs hallway bathroom. Within 20 minutes Kyle and Barrett arrived and found that basically almost all of the parts in the tank needed to be replaced. This they did professionally, personably, courteously ,and within an hour. Our dogs even liked them! Have recommended James to our neighbor without hesitation. Their price was reasonable and we enjoyed their company and the great job and service they provided. Thanks, Capelli Plumbing.

I had a pipe burst. I called Jimmy on Monday. He said someone will come out between 8 and 9 am Tuesday.

David and Kyle showed up at 8:23 a.m. Told me in detail and step by step what they were gonna do and how much it would cost.

They were the 3rd plumber I called. The prices beat the other two. They did not take advantage of the fact that I was a girl and knew nothing about plumbing. Gave me some fair and decent pricing.

They are also fast! In and out in 2 hours. Also offered to come back and check on the job one more time before I patched up the wall. I highly recommend them.

I highly recommend Capelli Plumping! Much better service and better pricing than their competitors. I have had a couple plumbing emergencies and they came right out and did an excellent job. I had a major issue with the sewage lateral that was not easy to access as it was down a hill - fixed it! They can tackle the more difficult jobs as well as the simple ones like replacing a garbage disposal and snaking sink. I've used them three times and will continue to use them for everything I need plumbing related.

Very professional, informative and great service! I had an emergency, my toilet overflowed and couldn't unplug it. Called Capelli Plumbing and James came out in a couple of hours, he called up to see if he could come earlier than expected which was fine with me. The earlier the better with my problem. He came and snaked out and unclogged my sewage line quickly. My daughter flushed the toilet hours later just to see if all was working, it was definitely unclogged but leaking from underneath. I called Capelli's again and James came out again. He found that the toilet was loose and replaced the inner ring and bolts and he did it at no extra charge which was additional work and I expected to pay a fee. He is honest, hardworking and very kind. I highly recommend Capelli Plumbing!

Beware another flaky contractor in San Leandro. Had a sewer repair at my inlaws house, James sent out their workers to unclog pipe and do a video inspection 600.00. They said the pipe was broken ok got a estimate 3600.00 it had to get fixed so we agreed to there price they removed approx. 8 ft. of concrete and patched in a piece of abs pipe. They did a crappy job on the cement, all over they splattered the brick wainscote with cement. James the owner never came by to check the job. Heres the best part 6 months later sewer backed up through the cleanout 400.00 later his worker said theres another break and he wanted more money to fix it. Again wheres James? Well my mother in law got screwed so we installed a trenchless sewer cheaper than Capelli plumbings job, we called James to come over our house to see what they had to do to make it correct. All James said is those guys dont work for me anymore because they screwed me, we demanded some kind of refund from him, he said ill i can pay is the 400.00 for when the guys went back to clean the pipe again. Long story short we havent got our 400.00 yet this is what gives good contractors a bad rap. We are going to report him to BBB. Another note our new plumber provided the sewer permit. James still kept all the money and never got a permit, think twice of this plumber.
