I had a leak behind the wall. They sent a plumber who cut a small hole in the drywall, then left and said they'd send a quote. A few days later, I got a quote for $2,400 to find the leak and tell me how much more it would cost to fix it. I called a competitor who found the leak and fixed it the same day for a total charge of $265. If you want someone to take advantage of your situation, call Canyon!

I'm not sure about their work but I strongly suggest shopping around and getting multiple professional opinions. I got a free estimate only. The plumber came up with $3,995 worth of work that ""needed to be done."" He kept telling me, ""if it doesn't get fixed, it could lead to very serious problems.""

Subsequently, I had multiple contractors look at what he said were ""very serious problems.""

Canyon estimated over $1200 to install a new main water valve and regulator. It was leaking. He said it was corroded. I didn't see it because it was in the crawl space. I had another plumber come look at it and he said it was leaking but that I didn't need a new valve or regulator. That plumber tightened it, said that's all it needed and didn't charge me either.

Another example: Canyon told me that whoever installed the furnace did not use materials that were up to code. He said they used a dryer vent duct and probably didn't have it inspected by the city because the city would not have passed it. False! First of all, I have the city inspection card and it DID pass. Second, I had 3 other HVAC guys look at it and they said it was fine and does meet code. One even said the material that was used (I believe it's called semi rigid flex pipe) was better than the standard vent pipe because it flexes in the event that the home shifts. He said inspectors love seeing that.

Canyon also said the water heater supply lines were simply fitted on (without threading) and that if the water pressure gets too high it could blow off. That was not true either. They are threaded and will not be blowing off.

In the end, I used other contractors and saved over $3600.

Liberty was great, explained everything before, during and after the job was done. Very happy with my utility sink in my basement art/pottery studio I'm setting up.
