I have been a customer of Canning's for years. I drive past Home Depot and Lowe's to get here. Their selection of small hard to find hardware, fasteners and tooling (like Helicoils, drills, taps) is great. I just bought replacement parts for my ice chest. Last week it was oddball gate hinges and a latch.

Went looking for Christmas lights. Walked in and employees where more concerned with their conversation amongst eachother and their phones I was never asked if I needed help or even acknowledged for that matter. So finding only one box of the type of lights I had wanted, I walked up to the counter where a female employee was on her phone and asked if the lights that were out were the only lights they had. Not even looking up from her phone, she replied with a ""ya.""..... That was it....no offer to help or assist in any way.... so I put the box I was intending to buy down and walked out....will never go back...

Love Love Love Ace the customer service is awesome. The boys are great ( Curtis, Julio, and Juan) specially Soto he is so knowledge and always ready to help. It is a small with a great variety, I've been there twice when it is closing time and they do not rush me or other customers and Abby the cashier always has a smile. 1 small complaint would be that it is a tad dirty on the back aisles, but the customer service and friendliness is worth coming back. They also have random items that a hard ware store wouldn't usually have like kinetic sand or cookie cutters. One last thing they make your window screens and they're wait time is way lot less compared to other big chain hardware stores!

These guys have saved my bacon many a time. I am pretty handy guy in terms of tools and fixing things, but sometimes even I have been stymied with a hard problem, and they have given me some ideas.

They are friendly and knowledgeable, and have always been willing to help me. They hire a few young kids to help but always have some older, more experienced employees around, and these guys are invaluable. They are hard to stump, because there is very little they have not seen or heard before.

They tend to stock a slightly higher quality of tools and hardware parts than the mainstream big box home centers do, so when you just don't want cheap Chinese hardware, try Canning's.

They will usually have any obscure low volume item I need, such as a weird pulley, plumbing adapter, gate hinge, non-standard bolt, etc.

I hope you will all shop here and make sure they never go out of business!

Very good customer service, every time. I go there for a lot of basic hobby supplies, like brass tube and rod, small nuts and bolts, aluminum bar stock, and also for copper plumbing parts. Way easier coming here than going to the big box hardware stores where I can never find what I need. Plus there are short sections of tube you can buy for a reasonable price.

I don't know how anybody had a bad experience here. Every time I walk in the door, I get help immediately. I only come to Canning's when I am working at my mom's place since I live in LA now, but every time I come here, it is a great experience. It is much better than those HUGE places where you have to scrounge to find somebody to help you out.

I am only giving this place a two star because they do have a nice selection for a hardware store but, I am amazed with the type of customer service they have here that they are still in business. Being that I was the only customer in the store and they have three employees they said hi after about five minutes of me wandering around. Next time I'll just drive to the Anaheim Hills location.
