It doesn't get any better than Canfield Plumbing, especially for a SLAB leak. Since this was a cold water leak, it was more challenging to identify. I called in a slab leak detection company to locate the leak and then called in three plumbing companies for bids. When I contacted Canfield, John responded immediately and was at my property the next day. When John analyzed the area where the leak was identified, he warned me that he didn't see enough evidence to tear up the floor where the leak supposedly was. His gut feel was that it was somewhere else and he recommended a leak detection company which he uses regularly. John met the technician himself and as it turned out, the leak was at least 12' away in another part of the house. Not only was John's bid by far the best, but he saved me a ton of money since we only had one part of the house torn up. On top of that, John and his business partner Mike (and David too) were so neat. They covered everything before they started. The wood flooring was cut perfectly so the repair was minimal; the wall and the wall base were not even touched. I wasn't at the property until the end of the job, but John sent pictures throughout the process so that I could follow the progress. They are experts in slab leaks. Not only are they skilled in their trade, John and Mike are professional, personable, and thorough. For a repair as stressful as a slab leak, they made it a breeze and at such a reasonable cost. I would highly recommend Canfield Plumbing and will use them exclusively for all future plumbing needs. In the thirty years I have owned a property, they are by far the best!

these guys give great service. they came over to fix my garbage disposal and pressed a button and fixed it. they didn't want to take any charge for the service call but they ended up fixing my bathroom drain for a very good price. its refreshing to meet honest people, will be calling them for all of my plumbing needs.

We ran into the nightmare of all plumbing jobs on this last weekend. Our washer and rear bath toilet were blocked and overflowing. I called another plumber and never got a response.
I got Canfields plumbing from Yelp and tried him next. It went to voice mail and I thought this was my normal luck withpast plumbing experiences. Within 30 seconds of leaving the vm John returned my call and apologized for not being able to take the call immediately. I explained the problem and advised this was pretty normal for our 1940's Covina home. John advised that he was at a 9:00am appointment but would be able to come by in about an hour. He was true to his word and tried to clear the main line but was unable to. He crawled under the house and advised that there were issues from the previous attempts to repair our problem.
He gave me a price to re-run the plumbing ""stack"" that contained drains from the toilet, laundry and sink areas and check the main sewer area.. He called in his big guns Mike and David and they went to work. As they were digging out the main under the house they were greeted with a geyser of ""material due to a rusted out galvanized line.
Much to my chagrin the sewer went out into the back yard under a 50 + year old tree. We were able to determine later that the house was originally on a septic tank. The efforts to hook into the main sewer line resulted in way too many angles and contributed to the slow drainage we have enjoyed for the last 30 years.
Any way, these guys busted their tails and got it er done. They gave a 5 year warranty against any back ups and hydro jetted our lines (normally $500) because we allowed them to come back the next morning to back fill the excavation ( believe me there was a ton associated with about 15' main sewer line and adding a clean out).
Prompt, Polite,Professional and just a pleasure to deal with. I've already recommended them to a friend and my daughter in Ontario. If you need a plumber who really wants your work, is fair and just a plain nice guy, call John @ Canfield's Plumbing. Did I mention he hires our vets? Best service! Very professional! Very nice! Helped me unclog the sewer for free(unbelievable) .

The toilet was clogged on Friday night. Saturday morning, I called a couple of plumbers. Most of them didn't work on weekend, or no response. Very disappointed until I called Canfield's Plumbing. John was working with another customer. He said he will fix my problem once he complete his ongoing work. In one hour, he showed up with his colleague. Using his professional camera, he identified the problem and fixed that soon( less than 10 mins). When he found that I am Chinese, he told me he will visit the Hsi Lai Temple after the work, and he would like to service me for free. I would like call him again next time. I would like to recommend him to our best friends.

Went to bed last night with no working toilets and a backed-up tub. This morning the husband managed to overflow one of the toilets in his attempt to ""fix"" the problem. Called John on a Sunday morning, and he came right out. He was so friendly from the start. He found and fixed the problems very efficiently. The pricing was more than reasonable, especially when most places charge more for Sunday service. The service also came with a one-year guarantee. We will definitely call Canfield Plumbing again, but hopefully not for a really long time!

What got me was they had the best pricing all around town! Needed a simple inspection with a camera down the main sewer line of a house we were buying to make sure no major repairs were needed. John was able to communicate through text which made everything super easy! The whole procedure was painless. He checked everything at no additional cost.
