Canfield Plumbing & Heating started in the year 1994 by Greg & Deb Canfield in the heart of Lowell. It has expanded from a small team to a team of 15+ professionals. Our company is large enough to meet all of your pipe and climate control requirements but remain small enough to offer top-notch customer service. We has served the community for more than two decades and we look forward to what's ahead!

Sal B.We recently had a grinder/lift kit break on a very busy day. We had guests over and were leaving for an evening event so the timing was critical.
I called early in the day and spoke with two staff members about coming out. The staff members were extremely professional and took the time to explain pricing and how things worked. I appreciated the extra time they took to talk about the job.
As it turned out, Canfield was completely booked that day. They told me that there was a small chance that they might be able to fit me in late in the afternoon if everything went right. I was pleasantly surprised when my phone rang at 4:30 pm. Canfield was sending someone out asap to do the work. Again, a professional member of their team explained who was coming out and made sure we were happy.
The work ended up being wrapped up in about an hour. The employee kept me updated and was also very professional. I can't say enough positive things about this outfit. They absolutely exceeded my expectations. Their pricing was reasonable, as well. I highly recommend Canfield Plumbing. 5* A+.
I had a water issue where I had no water at all and called Canfields. An employee arrived the next day. After about a half hr here he informed me that I had a well issue and had to contact a well company. I gave him a ck for his service call as I expected to do. Services rendered. Two days later the owner Gregg called me and said he had voided my ck as they were unable to help me out. How nice was that. I didn't expect that at all.very nice gesture for sure. Would 100 percent recommend them.
First time Canfield customer. I had them install a new water heater. Installation was well done. When I called to schedule it they said they would take the old water heater with them. I removed the old one and had it sitting outside in front of the garage. When the installation was done, the plumber didn't want to take the old water heater. He said they only get about $5 for it and he didn't want to haul it back to the shop. So now I have to figure out what to do with it. It appeared to be laziness on the part of the plumber to me. Unfortunate because based on the other reviews and the number of their trucks I see on the road I suspect they are actually a good company. I will try a different company next time.
Less than 24hrs after posting this review I received a call from Greg Canfield. He apologized and said that's not the way they do business. He stopped by and picked up the old water heater. I appreciate the quick resolution to the problem. A good indicator of the quality of a business is how they respond to a situation like this. He made it right - quickly.
Jenny R.Every time I drive through Lowell and see this business I am reminded of about 9 years ago when our water heater was not working. Being the sort of handy girl that I am I immediately took a trip to the local hardware and picked up a thermal couple since I knew how to change those out and it can be as simple as something like that when your water heater or oven break down. Well it didn't fix the problem. I called on Canfield for a check up and Greg himself showed up at my door-step. Within 15 minutes he had an estimate for me for a new water heater, plus all the changes that will have to happen (of course), a whopping $700+. Well beings that my husband had just got the pink slip at his workplace this was unaffordable at the time, so I told Greg that we would have to go without hot water for awhile, bless his heart for not charging me a service call. A friend stopped by later on and had mentioned that sometimes those brand new thermal couples can be faulty and suggested we try another one, and so we did and I am here today to say that after 9 years that same water heater is putting out some great hot water. So either this business has incompetent service workers or they like to gain a few unwarranted bucks.
