Someone comes asks my wife how much her mortgages, interest rate, how old she is & how much she paid for the house. Which makes her uncomfortable. he says the HVAC is covered by warranty as well as the front desk. In the end it's not, no explanation. We go in and find out the warranty can be transferred only 30 days they said to my wife and I. We set an appointment and apparently it's 90 days which is past the warranty, they were dishonest the entire time. Nothing got resolved he could have told us to change it into our name the first visit. My wife asked many times why can't it be changed then, while he was there.
Very knowledgeable employees- worth every dime.
They do not pressure clients - every good review- I agree with too!!!!
We are always so pleased with the work they do!! Sky is amazing because he cares and takes pride in his work. Thank you so much for all your help! Customers for life. We will always recommend Campbell & Company.
HORRIBLE customer service, I have tried to get the same mechanic here again because they were good. ; But the admin office and manager have mixed up my account, she put my phone number on the wrong address, the office manager is the rudest person i have ever talked to use another company Not this one.
I asked for an install of a pedestal sink and described the job in detail when booking the appointment. I requested an estimate before hand but they said they couldn't provide one without seeing the job. They charged $140 to show up. And then worked up an $1100 estimate to do the job! This was outrageous and when I questioned how long the job was estimated to take the said a couple of hours. So I said - your shop rate is over $500 per hour?! And he said no but that's just what we will charge to do the job! This was literally a straight time job ehere we provided all the materials and they just needed to install/hookup the sink. So I guess their mode of of business operations is to gouge you $140 to show up and then work up an additional outrageous estimate to do 2 hours of work! Never never never use this company!!!
I called the after hours line about an issue with my septic at 10:45 AM on Saturday. I was told to expect a call shortly to schedule a same-day appointment. At 2 PM, I had not been called. I called, and an agent told me that an appointment was scheduled for today, but she couldn't tell me what time, or how it was scheduled without me talking to anyone. At 5, I called. Agent Kevin, the only useful person I interacted with, told to expect a call from dispatch immediately. I got a call from dispatch letting me know that Campbell's doesn't work on septic systems. After 6 hours in a house where we can't use _any_ drain, I got my first honest answer of the day.
I would have been quite satisfied with that answer 6 hours ago.
Campbell replaced my HVAC system back in 2013 and at that time did a wonderful job. I signed up for the every 6 month maintenance program and didn't miss a month. During the last heat wave the system began blowing out hot air. I called the EMERGENCY number immediately and I was told they would call me the following day. The next day the girl stated that they would schedule an ""appt"" 11 days down the road. By now it's 90 degrees in the house, I begged for help. She spoke to a ""dispatcher"" and came back to tell me that they could get a crew out to my home that day BUT: ""there will be an $269 emergency call payable upon their arrival (which I could understand) PLUS even though Othello IS in our service area there is an ADDITIONAL $169"". WTH?? I'm on a fixed income and I just don't have $500 bucks laying around. I will find some one else to maintain my system. Campbell says they give good service but definitely NOT in an emergency. Was something ""missed"" or not done at the last service appt in Feb?
This review is based on my mother's experience with this company. During routine maintenance visit, the technician proceeded to perform additional work without discussing the scope beforehand or acquiring permission. At the end my mother received a bill for over $1000. Due to this lack of transparency and communication, I cannot recommend this company to others.
Contract misunderstanding : We signed for an 18 month 0% interest contract on a big job after our furnace went out. They began to charge us interest the following month and we've tried twice to get this resolved. Both times they said they would have their supervisor call us within the next day and each time they went a week without any contact. We are being ignored and it's not right. Not good business. Our salesman was Troy and his supervisor is Isaiah. We are still trying to get this resolved and it's been 2 months!
Update: We spoke to Isaiah the following day after this post and he was very empathetic and helped us get on the right path. Isaiah is very well versed and helped put our minds at ease. We also got a chance to speak to Troy, in person, and he was very respectful. We had really good interactions with both and we appreciate their willingness to make things right. The company did a quality job with our furnace and this was just a big hiccup but they helped us get what we had originally thought we applied for. It was a big misunderstanding and they handled it really well.
Stay away shady billing practices. I was told by their receptionist that they would not schedule to look at the problem or give an estimate without approval to do the work first. I would have gladly paid for their time but an open ended bill before they will even come look at the problem. This against the law. I guess since its residential they figure we are desperate as its 90F out and our air is down. Called at 1pm May 16th, 2023 to have them troubleshoot or get an estimate to get ac going as heat pump wont start. I have worked with and for many contractors over last 30 years, never in my career have I had any company insist for approval to do open ended work to even set up an appointment. By law a consumer has the right to an estimate of the work to be done. Don't fall for shady practices like this. How sad in a community like this they prey on what they assume are unknowledgeable people.
