Recommended Customer Reviews
Campbell replaced my HVAC system back in 2013 and at that time did a wonderful job. I signed up for the every 6 month maintenance program and didn't miss a month. During the last heat wave the system began blowing out hot air. I called the EMERGENCY number immediately and I was told they would call me the following day. The next day the girl stated that they would schedule an ""appt"" 11 days down the road. By now it's 90 degrees in the house, I begged for help. She spoke to a ""dispatcher"" and came back to tell me that they could get a crew out to my home that day BUT: ""there will be an $269 emergency call payable upon their arrival (which I could understand) PLUS even though Othello IS in our service area there is an ADDITIONAL $169"". WTH?? I'm on a fixed income and I just don't have $500 bucks laying around. I will find some one else to maintain my system. Campbell says they give good service but definitely NOT in an emergency. Was something ""missed"" or not done at the last service appt in Feb?
This review is based on my mother's experience with this company. During routine maintenance visit, the technician proceeded to perform additional work without discussing the scope beforehand or acquiring permission. At the end my mother received a bill for over $1000. Due to this lack of transparency and communication, I cannot recommend this company to others.
Contract misunderstanding : We signed for an 18 month 0% interest contract on a big job after our furnace went out. They began to charge us interest the following month and we've tried twice to get this resolved. Both times they said they would have their supervisor call us within the next day and each time they went a week without any contact. We are being ignored and it's not right. Not good business. Our salesman was Troy and his supervisor is Isaiah. We are still trying to get this resolved and it's been 2 months!
Update: We spoke to Isaiah the following day after this post and he was very empathetic and helped us get on the right path. Isaiah is very well versed and helped put our minds at ease. We also got a chance to speak to Troy, in person, and he was very respectful. We had really good interactions with both and we appreciate their willingness to make things right. The company did a quality job with our furnace and this was just a big hiccup but they helped us get what we had originally thought we applied for. It was a big misunderstanding and they handled it really well.
Stay away shady billing practices. I was told by their receptionist that they would not schedule to look at the problem or give an estimate without approval to do the work first. I would have gladly paid for their time but an open ended bill before they will even come look at the problem. This against the law. I guess since its residential they figure we are desperate as its 90F out and our air is down. Called at 1pm May 16th, 2023 to have them troubleshoot or get an estimate to get ac going as heat pump wont start. I have worked with and for many contractors over last 30 years, never in my career have I had any company insist for approval to do open ended work to even set up an appointment. By law a consumer has the right to an estimate of the work to be done. Don't fall for shady practices like this. How sad in a community like this they prey on what they assume are unknowledgeable people.
J.M. M.We were very impressed with both the professionalism and friendliness exhibited by Kevin and Terry when they consulted us on our heating problems.
I wanted a reprice on an estimate they gave. They wouldn't do it unless I gave them129.00 for another call.
Brendan M.Our winery AC failed over the summer they came out several times to fix it. After multiple repairs it still wasn't working right. It had been harvest at the vineyard so I hadn't noticed this unit was still not working correctly right away when I called they refused to come look at there work without charging me. I ended up looking at it myself and found wiring mistakes done by the technician that were causing the issues. I requested a manager call me to discuss and never got such a call. Would never do business with them as the workmanship is extremely poor and customer service is equally bad.
I recently had Rowdy come out and give me a quote on a new unit. I was incredibly impressed by how knowledgeable, Professional, and thorough he was. I'm not the most savvy when it comes to understanding different units and options and he took the time to walk me through everything. He's an Amazing asset to this company and made me want to do business with them! Thanks Rowdy!!
I really like the company and trust their techs. Had them over many many times - both at my old and at my new house. Never had an issue with their responsiveness, professionalism, the techs that came out, ... they do however charge waaaaay too much for their services. Dispatch fee of 258 dollars and a fan motor replacement of over 1000 dollars just today (everywhere online puts an upper limit of 600-700 bucks for the fix). I understand there is a price to pay for quality service, but this is too much. Give people a break.
Andie Z.The reviews are not great but I used this company because my son's girlfriend works there. I'm so glad I did! The work was fantastic!! It was done quickly and came in less than what was quoted. I will definitely use them again.
