My experience with Camarillo Plumbing was a good one. The Plumber Dan was on time and gave us some options for the garbage disposal issues we were having (and gave us some tips on how to avoid these issues going forward). He was honest, very knowledgeable, and professional. I did my homework and called around for pricing, although they were not the cheapest they definitely seemed to be competitive. I would absolutely use them again.

Went in here for a quick trip to buy a splash guard for our garbage disposal. He checked his store and computer to see if he could order one for me. Unfortunately he couldn't and all the ones he had were too large. He did tell me that a local store 2 min away would more than likely have the part and he guessed at the manufacturer. He was correct on the manufacturer and the store. Thanks for being knowledgable and helping a girl out by pointing me in the right direction. I can now use my disposal without being splashed by the contents of it.

Overall a very sloppy job was done. This was made even worse by the amount they charged. I'm not the landlord, but if I was paying for the work, I would not hire them back at all, not even to fix stuff they messed up.

Dan and another guy arrived on site. Things did not start off well. They went ahead and turned off the water before ringing the doorbell, and I wish they had given me a heads-up as a courtesy. Wanting to wash your hands after taking a shit and finding the water is off is not the way you want to start your morning. When I went outside I found out that they had run each other's vans into each other in the driveway. Let the clown show begin!

The main task was fixing a leak in irrigation piping. Watching them work was like a comedy of errors. Do you know they saying ""Measure twice, cut once?"" Well, these two guys didn't. They put pipe cement on the PVC before even checking if the pieces would fit. When the pieces didn't fit, they had to scramble to take apart the pieces (with glue drying on them!), cut them, and then put them back together. You do this for a living?

Their cuts on the pipe were ragged, and their repair job threaded the new pipe through two others, making a tangled rats nest. If a future repair needs to be done in that area, it's going to be even more of a PITA because of what they did. They just don't give a damn about taking the time and effort to do the job right.

The communication between their dispatch and plumbers is pretty bad too. There were other tasks that had been called in days before that the field guys were unaware of.

All in all, do not use.

The plumber, Dan, was quite late, citing ""emergencies."" We had removed the tub stopper that works inside the drain. He removed hair from the drain, told us that fixing the stopper would eventually lead to having it get stuck in the drain, forcing us to remove the tub to release the plug. He suggested getting a plug that fit in the drain. Most of us could have done this without any help.I put the stopper in myself and reassembled the cover after he left. He also put a new wax seal and caulked the toilet and also warned us about dangers of failing to replace a hose. The total price for this was over $400. We have used their services many times over the last 30 years and while they are consistently expensive for the work they do, they have not left us feeling this overcharged and under-serviced before.

I was pleased with the service I received today. They came the same day and took care of the problem. I do find the ""do not put food in your disposal"" discussion a little odd. But John was very helpful. The price was a little higher than I expected but they gave me a discount and I used the Yelp coupon. I would definitely recommend them.

Matt came out and was not only friendly, helpful but very honest. When you call a plumber, 9/10 you're panicked and in a hurry. Matt was low-key, identified the problem quickly and was honest about our fix. It ended up being much less than I had anticipated and he was honest that we only needed a simple fix. Didn't try to upsell or overcharge and got the done job fast.

Hopefully never need a plumber again, but when I do, I'm calling them.

Best place in Ventura county to get great personal service. I have been building a gas fire pit to code and have received exceptional advice. A big box store can not even come close to the advice the pros have. Thank you!

BEWARE!! Do not believe these positive reviews!! This place is horrible. I called for a simple tub handle replacement. They charged $250 PLUS $100 for part (handle!). That's not the worst of it. They installed the handle upside down, left a pool of water on the bathroom floor and the repair man wore his dirty shoes and tracked dirt on our carpets. Last but not least he did not seal the plate behind the handle which has now created a leak down to my first floor. Using this company for a simple replacement has costed my family $1000's of dollars because of the leak. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, BEWARE!!!!!! Hope this reviews helps save you time and money.

Called to have someone come see what was wrong with my garbage disposal.
The charge was about $49 for the service call and would be applied to the cost of repair. It was not stuck and the other sink was draining just fine. I did not want to use draino on the garbage disposal side.
Upon arrival I was asked if I put food down the garbage disposal. My answer was yes.The last thing was leftover oatmeal and was flushed with plenty of water but it started gurgling and did not drain. I was promptly told ""You never put food down the garbage disposal!"". To my surprise I asked, ""Why would one purchase a garbage disposal if you could not use it?"" Once again I was told "" Because it clogs the drain"".
He then asked me for a plunger, which I retrieved for him. He plunged it for less than a minute and ran water through and reminded me ""Never put food down the disposal"". Well...I am not 12 years old. Have plenty of history working a garbage disposal and this was my first time in the history of garbage disposal use that I had this problem. So...no more food down the garbage disposal was absurd to me!
Anyway...the cost for a 5 minute repair with me supplying the tool was $125!!! It would have been about $50 more had they not been kind enough to deduct the service call charge. It took longer for him to write up the ticket than it did to unclog the drain.
Needless to say. I have learned something. Use the plunger before calling a plumber.
I think the cost for a 5 minute scolding and the use of my plunger was a wee bit overpriced! EEK..is right.

Never happened to me before but they actually called me and discounted the bill after I called to let them know I thought this was a bit high. I will have to update my rating and thank them for their time and courtesy in making things right. Now...$89
